Hi, ya'll! I just gotta say, I am so sick and tired of hearing these childish comments, If Leighanne is what makes Brian happy then I commend him!!! DO you seriuosly think that if Leighanne was such a bad person than Brian would marry her??

First off, I'd like to give heartfelt congratulations to both couples. I hope and pray that you will recieve the happiness and the privacy you deserve.Now onto my thoughts. First off--it's ok to be choked up. When I heard the news, I was listening to the radio and it was the last thing in the world I was expecting. I won't lie--I yelped and broke my phone in a franctic attept to call my best friend. I was sooo emotional--I still am. However, it IS ok to feel this way.
What is NOT ok is to let your emotions on this sensitive topic cloud your mind and your sense of logic. Come on--did you HONESTLY expect that YOU would be the one marrying them??? Hopefully not...if so, it's time for a reality check. Threatening the fiances and making plans to wreck havoc on their weddings is not going to do anything. In fact, you'll probably hurt the very object of your desire--they obviously care very much for these girls, otherwise they wouldn't be marrying them. Besides--imagine if your dream of marrying Brian or Kevin finally came true and your perfect day was ruined by a psychotic fan.
Some of you may be wondering about my stand. I know my reaction to the news could be labled as "teenybopperish." First off, I was NOT expecting the news. I was reading a book for english and the local evening dj announced the news. Secondly, I never had fantasies of marrying them. The minute I told my parents that Kevin and Brian were engaged, they both asked me, "So are you upset because now they can't marry you?" PLEASE! I'm sure a good deal of us at one point or another imagined that they were DATING a Backstreet Boy, but I never thought of marriage. The reason I was upset was this: I felt as if I no longer had the right to be so crazy for them anymore.
I've now realized that it's ok to still be "madly in love" with Brian (or Kevin...I love both but Brian is my fav). As long as it doesn't consume my life or make me do things I would never dream of doing to someone I knew. Besides--"loving" Brian was only part of it. The best part of the entire band still remains, whether some get married or not. They are still an awesome group of talented men who make songs that help us forget about our problems. And that is something that marriage could never change.
So to those of you who are worried this will take away fans--good if it does! They weren't true fans in the first place!!! However, I do have one note to make. Leighanne and Kristen--I am behind you 110%, but if you break these boys' hearts, you'll have me and millions of other fans to deal with. ;)

i think this is a happy time but also a nervous time for the fans because after they get married (think about this)what is gonna happen with the BSB....cause there wifes are gonna want them home and not on tour all the time right......that is the only thing im worried about

I would just like to say that I cant believe they are getting engaged THIS SUCKS... ok maybe not!! LMFAO... I cant believe actually that everyone is getting so upset over something that is so wonderful. I could not be more happier for them! Im so glad they finally feel that they can announce their happiness to the world! Its their right to be happy, as it is everyone elses. I think alot of people need to calm down and think about this. If it was YOU marrying a Backstreet Boy wouldnt YOU want to tell the world about it? Well its the same for them! Put yourself in their shoes for once and stop being so damn selfish! The comments that some people made on MTV were DISGRACFUL. You give BACKSTREET BOYS FANS a bad name. Saying your not going to like them or vote for them on TRL any more just because they have made a decision that makes them very happy, calling their gorgeous girlfriends every name under the sun IN PUBLIC in a place where they will read it. How would you all like to see things like that said about you on a public notice board? I think that you all need to learn that if you dont have anything nice to say then just dont say anything. I understand there are alot of jealous people out there! IM one of them! :o) Yeah Im jealous that they have a happiness that I have yet to achieve in my own life. Im jealous that they get to marry these wonderful guys who obviously make them very happy! see IM the first to admit it! But Im also mature enough to see that if it makes them happy then it must be very good. You all think you know Brian and Kevin... well if you know them so well do you think that they are going to marry someone that DOESNT make them happy? ya know, have you ever thought about what bri and kev are thinkin ewhen they hear all this trash about their engagments?? one minute they hear "congrats, good luck, i'm happy for ya" and all this stuff then the next minute they hear from the same pers "oh why wasnt it me, you really dont like me do you, you dont care about me youre leaving me behind arent you" an then they ask themselves all these questions like why does this hafta happen? why are they doing this? everyone knew this would happen sooner or later....is it just cause im famous? why cant i be treated like a normal person w/ my realtionships? they feel like the engagment was a mistake and that they shouldnt have a said anything about it. i know you people out there think about this but you just wont admit it cause ur the ones that say stuff like "leigh anne's a 30 yr. old fake blonde, ditzey, pamela anderson wannabe b**** that only wants brian for money and sex (i've actually heard that said)" but you know what? none of that crap is true. sure i had a bad run in w/ laigh anne once, but thats in the past. i met her for a second time and she was soooo nice to me and my friends (and my BL look-alike cousin) and even though i've never met kristin, i've heard that she is very nice, just like leigh. so all you so called "true fans" out there that hate the bri and kev cause of the engagments, the YOUR NOT TRUE BSB FANS! all us true fans are happy for them. First, I would like to say a huge Congrats to Brian and Leighanne and Kevin and Kristen. I am a 25 year old BSB fan. I think that Brian is the finest Backstreet Boy, but if Leighanne is what makes him happy then we should all respect his decision to marry her. Just because they are married doesn't mean that the Backstreet Boys will end. Everyone deserves someone to love. If they get married and then things don't work out, then they just move on with their lives. They both have their own separate lives to life, they have been doing this since they started dating and Leighanne knew what she was getting into when she met Bri and she stood by his side the whole time that is more than I can say for some of the BSB fans, who keep dissing Leighanne and Kristen just because they are the guys fiancees. If you are a true BSB fan you would congratulate them and just be happy for them. Most of you that are dissing these girls are just little teeny boppers any way and what do you know about true love. As for Leighanne having implants and doing porno, name me one actress that has not had implants or some kind of cosmetic surgery in order to inhance her career. Most of your actresses end up in some kind of porno sooner or later in their career. So shut up and be happy for our boys. Hopefully Brian and Kevin led happy, healthy, and wonderful lifes.

Alright...I have heard quite enough! First of all I would like to say that I am Very Happy for Brian and Kevin, that they were able to find someone who they would like to share the rest of thier life with! That is very special and we should all be happy for them! Next, to all the many fans who are also happy, thank you! You are True BSB fans and they should feel very lucky to have you "keepin the Backstreet pride alive"! You are the reason why BSB will never die!
Ok, for the rest of you, why do you think that just because two of the boys who are all over your walls and invade your thoughts and daydreams are getting married, you have to Hate them and not support them?!?! That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard! Yeah, I can understand that you might be a little upset (I know that if Aj were getting married, my day would be a little glum too) but you have to come to reality... you are not going to meet the Backstreet Boys and have them instantly fall in love with you--thats only ever other girls dream too. Come on, they are people too who need to find someone to share their life with just like everyone else. Maybe you should try and be happy for them, because these girls are a big part of their lives!

I think that they should do whatever makes them happy. Their girlfriends have stuck by them through everything, and they deserve to be together forever. The Backstreet Boys should be viewed for their music, not as 5 cute guys. I hope all the fans are mature about this and join me in wishing them happiness forever.

I must admit something to all of you. I was more than the teeniest bit upset when I flipped on MTV and heard my Kevy talking about his fiance.....I had heard about Brian and Leighanne awhile ago. Don't get me wrong though.....I'm really very happy for them. I've heard so many good things from fans about Leighanne. "Oh she's soooooo sweet" and that kinda thing. And I'm sure she is!!!! And think about how weird it would be if they didn't have girlfriends at all!!!! (*cough* *cough* *nstink* *cough*) Wouldn't we all be a lil worried then?!?!?! Bri-Bri and Kev getting married is definately a good thing! It proves that they are more than just the "Teeny-bopper boy-band" that so many stereotype them as.
All I want is for them to be happy. As long as we love them....we'll never loose them and Backstreet will alwayz be back!!!!

No real fan would stop supporting the group just because two of it's hard working, dedicated members have decided to commit themselves to the love of their lives. If I recall, there are plenty of bands/groups whose members are married and they still manage to stay part of the group. It's called a JOB people, and believe it or not, you can be married and still work. Kristin and Leighanne have dealt with Kevin's and Brian's hectic schedule in the past and I don't think that being married will change much.

Ok, girls work with me here, please. I know that most of you are really upset cause of Brian's and Kev´s marriage, I also know that some of you wanna kill their girlfriends and also some are planning how to interfere on the wedding. But, GROW UP! Think of all the things you are saying and all that you are thinking, does it sound correct? I don't think so. You say that you love them and blah blah blah... so, if you love them that much...let them be happy! They are mature enough to make their own decisions and they surely know if they are making the right or wrong choice... So, stop saying that Leighanne is using Brian cause that is not true, Brian is a smart guy, don't you think? He's being with her long enough to prove that she truly love him and that he love her too...she may look kinda phony and all...but that is not what count, the only thing that count is BRIAN´S HAPPINESS!!! If he is happy we surely have to be happy too, I think that sound pretty right, don't you think? About Kevin, well, I guess there is not much to say about him. I was dreaming about the day he could finally found "THE ONE", cause he always used looked so sad, you could saw that just by looking at his huge green eyes. He was hitted by life so much, and now God is blessing him with someone that will love him and take care of him, and I hope that Kristen will be able to change those sad eyes into shiny eyes full of happiness and joy.Most of the fans like me, that were supporting them since the beginning, saw Nick growing bigger and bigger, AJ´s style changes, Howie´s Spanish improving, and now Brian and Kevin becoming two happily married men. We are all really privilege to be part of their growing like that. We also saw how they changed musically speaking... You can notice that from the first album and now the last one. Now, they write their own songs and cooperate in everything related to their work, while on the first one, they only cooperated with their beautiful voices. They all grown in so many different and wonderful ways, that I just can't explain. They improved their voices beautifully, their live presentations are everyday more and more fantastic, they little by little made themselves being known all around the world and now you say Backstreet Boys anywhere you go and everyone knows of whom you are talking about, and last year they made their dream true, they were known in their own home country. Don't you think that we are part of their lives? Of course we are! We made them what they are now, and you guys have to feel proud for that, they always thank us for our continuous support and we have to keep doing that so that we will be able to continue watching them growing more and more every day. Please, don't stop loving them cause they are getting married, you guys should know that they would get married one day from before hand and it finally happened! Kevin and Brian apparently found their "Soul Mates", and some of you should know that finding "The One" is the most wonderful thing that can happen to each of us.
Instead of being angry at them, why don't you support them in their decision? I'm sure they are worried of what we all think. And if they told us about their engagement is cause they trust us and are waiting for our support.
Girls, is their music what we like, is their music what made us all know them, is their music what keep us close to them, is their music what make us smile or cry when we hear them, and was their music what made us love them since the first time we saw a video or listened to a song. So, keep listening to their music; keep listening to their voices together making a wonderful harmony...keep on with your support.
Don't be upset or sad about the marriage; instead of that be happy for them. They will still need us and we have to show them that we will still support them till the end of time.

Ok, I personally don´t know how I feel right now. Imean, in one hand I´m soooo happy for both of them, I
even started thinking about Brian and Kev JR...and how
cute this would be.,but on the other hand I
say...Gosh, it hurt..Brian (Which is the one that
affects me cause I love him with all my
soul)........is getting married, he is in love..a he
is giving to Leighanne what I always wished he could
give to me and I knew he would never ever give some
day. And I say to myself, she better take care of him
and love him back the way he love her!!!! But, I´m
really happy cause he is Happy!!! I always knew that I
would never get to be beside him, so this help me to
prove that,and go on wiht my life and stop living in a
dream that would never come true. I know that dreaming
is good...but in this cases is not healthy...believe
me that is not healthy at all. I used to suffer a
lot..I cried when I saw him, I cried when I heard
him..I cried of everything related to himbut this now
changed...And believe me when I say that my friends
are thanking God I through it now.
You know guys? I was destroyed when I found out last
year that Brian was dating Leighanne, I even could not
slept that night, I cried the whole week long..and
little by little I got used to the fact that he was
with her...but months passed and now I´m not that
crazy for him as I used to be..now, I see the BSB only
as wonderful singers, with an explendid talent and
that make me happy just by doing what they do
best..MUSIC!! So, the news of the wedding does not
affected me as it affected me the fact that he wasdating Leighanne!!!
So, I wish both of them the best..If I will still like
them? OF COURSE I WILL!!! The wedding stuff does not
change anything!! They will just be more happy and in
love!! That sound so sweet!!They will sure be!! So
maybe they will improve...who knows.
I will keep the Backstreet Pride alive for ever!!!!
