I think it is great that Kevin is finally engaged to Kristin. He is 28 and he deserves a life outside of BSB. Same with Brian and Leighanne. I met her on Valentine's Day and she was so nice to all the fans. Congradulations guys!

I think it's so sick and disturbing knowing that little 13 year old girls are going to be screaming for married men. That's just wrong.

I think it's awesome news that Brian and Kevin are engaged I couldn't be happier for the two of them and their soon to be brides. And I think for fans to all of a sudden to get pissed off at this news and change their minds about the boys now is ridiculous, they should be happy that the boys are happy. Congradulations to Brian & Leighanne and to Kevin & Kristin

I wrote my feelings on this before and if you want to know I was #377 to write. But I was just thinking. Nick is like Brian's best friend therefore probably his best man, but Nick is still under 21, that means he would have to toast Brian at his wedding with either grape juice or sparkling cider. Just an interesting thought.

I am REALLY excited for Kevin and Brian. I'm glad that they found a great person who loves them for them, not for being a member of a group called the Backstreet Boys. As sad as I was when I first heard the news, you can't help but think of how happy they are all gonna be. Its something that you do expect to happen, and when it does, it's too soon!! I give Kevin and Brian props. They are really brave for announcing that (hopefully I'll be getting that call from frack soon :) )I just wanna say CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!

Ok, first of all, I love all of them, and all I can

say is congrats. I'll admit, I'm 18 and I cried for

a couple of seconds. I can't explain it. I knew

Brian's would come soon, I mean how long has he known

her? I used to say, "He should go ahead and marry

her, we all know he will someday" But hearing him

actually say it shocked me, and Kevin surprised me

even more, I didn't even know he was in a

relationship! I am also guilty of feeling sad, I

can't help it. I've read all the messages about if

you were a real fan you'd be happy and I am a real

fan, but for some reason I'm still sad. The feelings

of happiness for Brian, Kevin, and their fiances are

much stronger than the sad ones. I actually am still

a little shocked, I missed TRL this week and didn't

hear anything about it until I came here. Well, I'm

gonna stop rambling now. Congrats again to Brian and

Kevin. Good luck, too. Cause you're gonna need it

with all of you being "in the business". That's all.

I commend those of you who wrote in positive responses to the news. However, the real world consist of bad feelings,as well as, good ones. The average person who likes BSB are girls. Girls like to scream for single guys or ones that at least pretend to be single. Not married ones AKA guys who are owned by other women. It is ridiculous to say "how would you feel if people talked about you just because you were a BSB girl. I would not care at all because I would have one of the men that all the girls scream for. What difference does it make in the long run. I do think women should be respected in general. But, not just because they are attached to a BSB. P.S. I think this all would be different if they were engaged to famous women instead of a girl that they could have picked out of the audience. However glamorous someone thinks they are. They are still regular people who happened to be in the business in some capacity.

I would like to say to all of the mature people who have told the truth about your hurt feelings to not feel bad. Kevin and Brian have a right to be happy. But, YOU also have the right to your feelings too. Just because they are happy doesn't mean you have to be too. They have made it clear that they care about their fans. But, that they have the right to their private lives and feelings. So, YOU have the same rights. They are not any more special than you! God made all of us. Have your thoughts of sorrow. It is perfectly natural. This way you can get through it faster.

I am very pleased that Brian and Kevin are gettting married. I am very happy for them and wish them the best. I also hope that other fans do as well. Also this announcment shows that the BSB are very honest. They don't like to keep many secrets.

i just wanted to say that when i first hear the news i was soooooo upset,i mean brian and kevin are not

even my favourite members of bsb but i was heartbroken either way. The thing is it is o.k to be bitter for a while

it is a natural reaction. but at the end of the day you know and i know it was bound to happen. They have lives of their

of their own , if they have found someone who is going to make them happy that is all the better for them

beacuse when their fame is over and they are not making anymore albums who do you think is gonna be there

to support them? their familly and friends!!!!! hopefully aj is not gonna be getting married or engaged for a

long time!!!!!!

all i gotta say is good job brian and kevin. yall just offically ruined the backstreet boys. they would have had a few more years maybe enough to break that boy band sucking and gone in a few years idea most people have of them but noooooooooooo they have to go off and get married. this ruins everything. we had pride for our single men. no one really liked them for they music cause lets face it..the music was all the same and pretty much sucked. ok ok. it did suck. but we loved them cause they are so hot and they are the closest most of us are ever gonna get to guys that look that good. every fan of theirs thought they had a chance of that bsb falling in love with them and now that image is ruined by them getting married. how could they do this?? i have no pride now. im ashamed i ever liked them. n sync here i come. yall are the unmarried young uns i long for. and to the bsb...im betting after reading this that yall are wishing that you never decided to get married. well too bad brian and kevin eat your hearts out but you guys just lost all of you fans and with that comes the end of backstreet boys. it was fun while it lasted but all good things must come to an end. too bad yall cause your own end eh? dumb stupid and retarded is about the only way to describe backdoor boys now

i knew it was coming. a while ago brian said that he wouldn't mind getting married and he and leighanne have been

getting pretty serious. kevin has been dating kristin before he was a bboy and he is 28 so i guess it is time. even

though brian is my fave i am really happy for him. i actually had dreams of him and leighanne getting married and in

the dream i got to go to the wedding. i doubt that'll happen. gosh, it'll be weird saying i love brian when he's married.

oh, and carson, you're cute but you're wrong! just because the guys are getting married doesn't mean that they will lose fans. i think

they will gain fans because i think they are getting more respect for this, especially from critics. oh and one more

thing, i've realized how close brian and nick have been and i think now that brian's gettin' married that nick will be

a little jealous. he's loosing his big bro to a girl. that's just my opinion. i mean i love nick too but i think that that

will happen. one more thing: we need to make BSB # 1 on TRL!!!!!

Hi, I just wanted to comment on the Backstreet Proposals. First off, Kevin has been "dating" someone (as he puts it) for 7 years. Sorry, you just don't "date" someone for that long. You are commited or you're not. Kristen Willits (Kev's fiancee') is a dancer for Cher and she has equal amounts of the show business experience. If they have been on and off for that long...I seriously don't think their marriage will last long at all. You need to come home to someone who will take you away from the "celebrity" atmosphere. Brian has been through a lot with Leighanne. She is too old and different for him. She's about 33 and he's only 25. There is a big age difference there. Brian seems like he is just doing this for the heck of it. Like he has nothing better to do. Sorry...I don't think that Brian or Kevin's marriages will last. Fans will stray and they will see that. The guys will be distracted and it will definitely cut into their business time. Sorry...Kristina B. CA

I just found out the news on Feb. 17 that Brian and Kevin are getting married. It's kind of shocking to me. I had a hunch that Brian was going to get married, but Kevin was a surprise. I had heard that he had a girlfriend but I never knew that it was such a serious relationship that they were considering marriage. I guess at the end of it all, it's good news to hear. After all, Kevin is going to be 29 and it's about time he settled down and started a family. Plus I knew that Brian really cared for his girlfriend. As long as Nick doesn't get hitched, it doesn't really bother me. It's sad because you know that they are trying to run away from their boy band image. Instead of hiding their engagements, they've decided to come out and as their fans, we have to be understanding. I know it's sad but after all we like them for their music...right? Jk. I just hope they don't end up getting divorced and telling their stories in a few years on BEHIND THE MUSIC on VH1.

I have to say that I'm really happy for Brian and Kevin.

I just hope nothing is going to happen to the band!!!

Oh yeah, to all of you girls that always said to your self "I'm going to marry one of the BSB" and probably still do. !!!!Get a life!!!!

If U have been to their concert and seen them with your own eyes, haa... DAA that doesn't mean that they actually saw YOU, so they dont even know that U excist! So if I were U, I would just be happy for them and NOT always think about your self. Well any way I hope the best for all of them.

Bye.

I would just like to say a big old >:P to all my so-called friends at school who are harassing me about this. They keep on telling me about how they won't last much longer and all that crap like that. I asked my friend not to call me by my nickname anymore because it made me feel weird (it's my chat name- Princess Littrell) for obvious reasons, and what does she do? She sends me an e-mail that says (over and over and over and over and over and...) P~L P~L P~L P~L P~L. P~L is the shortened version of my (former) nickname. I knew something like this would show me who my true friends were, and obviously I don't have very many. So another big old >:P to my "friends" for harassing me. It's gotten past just teasing. If you are reading this, I am getting ready to block all e-mail from you. Oh, and on a sarcastic note, happy President's Day to all my "friends". Y'all can just go hug a tree. I would think you would have better things to do than to harass someone who thought they were your friend.

Sorry to everyone else, I am having a horrible week and I've lost a lot of so-called friends in the past couple days.

Adios,

~Sabrina~

PS- sorry, I needed to vent. I have no one who wants to listen to me at the moment so I just randomly decided to put it here.

okay i have also posted on this topic earlier, yet i feel the need to once again respond to some of the opinions that "fans" have. that *ashleigh* girl or whatever her name is certainly does not even have the right to call herself a backstreet fan. unlike nysnc whose fan base is merely 9 and 10 year old girls the backstreet boys have found a way to make music which reaches people of all ages. yes i would love to see the backstreet boys at #1 on TRL each and everyday, their videos have at least a little meaning (well alot of significance if we are talking about SMTMOBL)yet i do realize their is life other than what TRL says. the backstreet boys are up for 5 grammy and nsync how many?? the backstreet boys sold how many records in the first week of millennium's existance, sold out how many concerts in a 10 minute time span?? the list could go on forever, but what's the need all the true fans know what i am talking about. so *ashleigh* go ahead and run to nsync, when you grow up the backstreet boys will be making still be music and lets hope nsync will have given up by then. though i am distressed by the number of responses bashing the boys for their announcements i must say that it's great to see how many fans understand that their is life outside of us, the fans. we know how they feel about us, god they dedicated a song to us!!! no matter what they do with their personal lives (well what's left of it) nothing can change what they've done for us. so they wont tour as much, but i doubt that they'd quit making music altogether, at least not now. with the success they are having right now it wouldnt make much sense. i would also like to say that i am glad they felt comfortable enough to share their joyous news with us, i mean it took courage to do that. for all the 9 and 10 year old girls who dont like them anymore and are going to no longer like them because of this decision, we (bsb fans) are better off without you, and i hope that one day you will find out about love and that without love you yourself will cease to exist. i wish rok and kev nothing but the best. leighanne and kristen you are two lucky ladies. and if any of you guys should get a chance to see this please understand that their are plenty of fans who support you!! having said that i will once again challenge TRUE bsb fans too support the guys, their women, and the rest of the guys in this time of change. any comments welcome!

ps: yeah i heard about what carson said about the fans being fickle enough to diss the guys over this. if anyone has time PLEASE write to mtv.com and tell them how we really feel about the guys decision!!! ktbspa
