Wedding Bells For Brian and Kevin

Date: Sat Feb 19 19:10:19 2000 I was reading thru the entries and someone quoted the BSB song Everybody. Not the loooong one, the short one that's on the Backstreet's Back CD. Everyone remember how that one line Nick sings goes? "As long as there'll be music we'll be comin' back again..." Just because 2 of the guys (who are still my favorites, even though they're getting married) are engaged DOES NOT mean that the group will disappear into thin air and we'll never hear from them again. As long as people still want to hear them, there will still be CDs. The only way that they will disappear is if we LET it happen. So don't stop listening to them. Don't stop buying their CDs. Don't stop annoying your friends to death by talking about them 24/7. (hee heee heeee, sorry guys, but I gotta have some way to get back at you when you annoy me! Besides, I like talking about them!) Anyways, back to what I was saying... actually, no, I think I'm finished on that topic. And then, to those of you who are saying things like, "This is sooooo unfair. I was supposed to marry Brian." and AREN'T kidding, please, just sit down and really think about it for a few minutes. Okay? And to those of you who are depressed, it may take a while, but you WILL get over it. Right now, they really need our support. It took a lot of guts for them to go on TV and tell all of us that they're getting married. I know if I was in that situation, I'd be scared to death that I wouldn't have any fans anymore. I'm glad that so many of their fans are happy for them. I was afraid that a lot of people would be saying "Oh my gosh I hate them! I'm never listening to them again!" Thankfully, not that many people are, so chances are they won't lose much popularity. I'm guessing most of the fans who are like that mainly liked them for their looks anyway. Also, it's okay to be sad for yourself, just remember to be happy for them too, okay? :) Peace, love, and flower shaped sprinkles, ~Sabrina~ Submitted by Jill from Decatur USA Date: Sat Feb 19 18:51:57 2000 okay, i know this is the THIRD entry in this and i am sorry that i keep needing to add stuff. but what i have to say is truly horrible. there have been 4 suicides since the announcement about the brian and kevin engagements, all 4 because of them. i have heard this news from many many respectable sources. this saddens me that young girls feel that they need to take their life because of this. so this is what i have to say. if anyone feels the need to kill yourself over this, PLEASE GET HELP. they are not worth your own life. you CAN live knowing the fact that you will not become Mrs. Littrell. i know this news is hard for some of you fans. i am not going to go into that now like i did before. i just want to say that we do not want to make it 5. this is not just in this matter, if you EVER feel like you need to take your own life, go for help. someone loves you. there is always someone who cares. just because it isn't a backstreet boy, you do not need to commit such a terrible act. thanks. There was rumor that Kevin was also about a week before it was announced. I personally could not be happier for them. It shows that they are comfortable with where they are, and that they really love their girls. People shouldn't be saying they are angry, they should be rejoycing. FINALLY, bsb is where they have wanted to be, and FINALLY they have girls who know them, their faults, have to deal with sh*t from "fans", and STILL love them. I know I should be happy for them and in a way I am. I also know that the guys wouldn't marry people who they weren't truly in love with. I must say I am quite appalled at some of the things I read. I would like to say to those fans who threw their Backstreet Boys CDs and posters out…How could you be so selfish? The Backstreet Boys are human beings and have the right to be happy. I know that most of you are extremely upset about the engagements thinking “I was gonna marry Brian” or “How could Kevin cheat on me like that?” But guys come on those are just fantasies. Honestly I too had the fantasy that I was going to marry Brian…I even signed my name Becky Littrell instead of my real last name. But it never went further than being my fantasy. The Backstreet Boys have done so much for their fans and have done nothing but care about us. And this is how some of their fans repay them by throwing their stuff out and saying that this is wrong of them to do to us! I don’t understand why you guys just can’t be happy for them…I mean didn’t you see how happy Kevin was during the interview on MTV! If you truly did love them then you would not just throw their stuff away because they are doing something that makes them happy.
