First Page - Previous - Next - Last - Add Entry - Other Topics - Message Boards - Exit Page 32 of 75 Submitted by KC from Rowland Heights CA USA Date: Sun Feb 20 19:25:38 2000 ok...when i first hear the news i couldnt believe it...tho i was not as heart broken as i thought i would be...maybe its because it wasnt AJ...but anyways...i was not mad at the bsb or anythin...i was not exactly sad either...but i was mad when i heard some of the media ppl say that they dont think it is a good idea for the boys to announce that they are getting married..they might loose fans or record sell, etc. i dont think thats fair for the boys...i mean theyve worked so hard jus to prove that they are not the stereotyped kind of "boyband"...some media have finally accpeted the fact that the boys could actually sing...and now they are all again turning around to say that as a "pop group" or "teen-idol group" they should not hav announced their engagement...i mean whats up with that..getting marry is a big thing in the person's life...why should they keep it as a secret and not be able to recieve the blessing from ppl jus because they are celebrities...and why is that when other celebs announce that they are getting married no one say thats not a good idea?...i wish with all my heart that brian and kevin will hav the best wedding and best marriage life ever...and believe me...even if it was AJ i would still wish the same thing...i mean its not like if they dont get marry they will marry me...so why not wish them happiness so that they can produce more good and better music for us devoted fans? yah...well thats it for me now... But I realized that I do have an opinion to share with everyone who would like to listen. LoL! :O) I am very happy for Brian and Kevin!! I feel very strongly that if they are happy and if Kristin and Leighanne make them happy and love them so much to want to spend the rest of their lives with them, then more power to them. I am sure that both ladies have had to put up with a great deal being their girlfriends and I am glad that all have stayed "strong". I do not feel that this makes me love the BSB or their music any less. If anything it may makes me love them more because it shows that they are indeed growing up. I know that being twenty-four years old (I am) that you often think about marriage and your friends are getting married and beginning what will be what they spend and share with someone else. I for one am just not ready to make that kind of committment to someone and may never feel that way. I fell in love with the music before I fell in love with the five of them. I feel sorry for the girls who are contiplating suicide over the engagements, in fact that makes me the saddest. We should support the Backstreet Boys no matter what they do, that is what fans do. It was the same with the Beatles and the Cars and the Beach Boys. The different band members went off and got married and then they started to fight for more time and that led to the break up of these great groups. This is my fourth entry. Ok this is my final thought on the engagment of Kevin and Brian. I have been changing it the past few days, from good to bad. Well this is the final one! I am serious. Ok heres the deal: I really am happy for them, but somee things bug me, Well my friend is REALLY bummed about it and I hate seeing her face whenever she looks at a poster of Brian. She sighs and turns her head away from it. Today, I talked to her she pretended that she didn't know who Brian was. I knew she was just playing around but I felt bad. I know she is trying to hide her feelings by trying to be funny. But, every cannot show their emotions sometimes. That's what I mean which relates to other fans too. You won't DIE. So, I think we can moan and cry all we want, but that isn't gonna get us anywhere. Crying your eyes out isnt gonna break up Brian and Leigh Anne or Kevin and Kristen. I think we all should just move on. Even though we all will always be REALLY sad about this. We've gotta keep in mind that Brian and Kevin's love for their fans will NEVER change. This will never change b/c they know that without us, the Backstreet Boys wouldnt exist. Even though they will be old married men, they will keep us in their hearts. Let's face the facts, Kevin is almost 30 years old and he's come to the point in his life where he wants to settle down and get married.
