Show Me The Meaning of SMTMOBL: The Video

I stayed up to watch the premiere of it on Much Music. I cried, this video is so touching...well not really but its really sad if you know what the story about the video is. In the beginning is Brian looking through a hospital window, looking at someone in a hospital bed. Its himself and he dies from heart failure. It repesents when he had heart surgery and he was lonely at the time. Kevin is watching home movies of his dad and him when he was a little kid, Kevin's dad died from cancer in 1994 I think. It represents the fact that he is lonely without his dad around. Howie is in a coffee shop and a girl comes up to him is supposed to be his sister, Caroline, she died of Lupus last year (I think). It represents him being lonely without her. AJ is on a bus and looks at a picture of his ex-girlfriend and a tear rolls down his cheek. It represents him being lonely without her. And Nick is walking down a street called "Denniz St." and they are all lonely without their producer (I think he was a producer or something involved with the music), Denniz PoP who is dead now. I think this is their best video off of Millennium so far not only because its a sad video but because people can relate to it, loosing a good friend or family member. But when I finally saw the video, it changed my mind. I agree with what everyone else says. AS for Brian, it is obviously his heart- Kevin his dad, that part was great-as in very moving. Howie-obviously his sister, and her trying to reach out to him. And like others said I was confused when I saw just Kevin and Howie in the resturant (or whatever that was) but it made sence that they where both communicating saying that they are there for each other. On Nick and A.J these two are the most confusing- A.j.'s can't just be just his girlfriend, I definaltly think it is something deeper. Nick-saving that girl from death, maybe he is talking about himself. Not necessarily saving himself from death but something else-I do not know!Notice that they bus was in almost every scene. Like "it" is so much apart of their lives. When Nick pulled that girl away from the bus, it started to drive away, and then at the end the bus was in the shot when they all come together. As for that girl, I think she represented each one of there trials in life. And at first I thought that the end was the dumbest part, but now that I think about it, it was one of the best. Them all coming together-and not being so lonely as much, because they have each other. This song could have a lot of different meanings, but if you really listen to the words like when the say "tell me why I can't be there where you are" It is most likely Kevin and Howie talking about their family, and the deaths. I especially like how they end the song with "there's something missing in my heart." This is an excellent video!! Great, all I have heard is good reviews and hopefully it will stay that way!! It's not just a bunch of crap put together on a screen. The first part is representing Brian's surgery. It was a really tough time for him and all his loved ones and his fans! Kevin is remembering the old times with is father before he passed away. Howie is remembering the loss of his sister. So I think everyone should keep in mind that the Boys had a lot to do with the making of this video and we should congratulate them on a job beautifully done. Submitted by Kelly from wpg Canada!! I heard that when A.J. was 14 he lost a girl friend of his. I think that might be her in the picture. As 4 Nick, I also heard when they were managed by their old management they got very little breaks 2 see their family and Nick was only like, 15 or something like that, so of course, he missed his family pretty bad. I think that Brian is like in the hospital bed and his spirit is looking through the window and then he walks outside, his has to do with sadness. then there is A.J. and he is on the bus looking at his g/f or his friend and he starts to cry thenshe appears to him but it is just her imagination. his has to do with lonlieness (i think) Next theres Kevin whois watching videos with him & his dad and he looks very sad. then Nick is walking down the street, now i really didnt get what he was doing but he looks really lonely and then he saves this girl from getting hit by a bus..(??) then Howie is at a cafe and he lools really sad and his sister is running to him like she needs hel or something but before she gets there she dissapears. now im not sure but think the things that r in color are the things that they love, miss or care about and the things in black & white are sad things an d then they get together and they are all in color. So all in all this was a great video sometimes when i see it i cry, and i never really cry onvideos. i did not plan on this being so long but thats what i think it is abiut. PEACE. KTBSPA!! First of all, we all know that brian underwent surgery this past May, and that his portion of the video is him watching himself die. One thing that I caught from the video is when he walks out of the hospital into a bright light........heaven. Aj's part seems to be very clear.....he has lost a girlfriend. Nothing much else to say about that. Kevin's part is obviously about his father. No question there. Howie's is about his late sister. Nick's seems to be the least clear of the 5. At first he is walking down the street....ALONE. Then there is a part where he pulls a girl out from in front of the bus in which aj is on. My interpretation is that this girl and nick had an argument, and she was leaving, and actually was killed by the bus. And when you see nick save her, it is him thinking of if he could have saved her. That maybe she'd died and he wished he could have really saved her. Notice the only actual color in this video (with an exception to the very end)......red, a color associated with passion, love, and often loss. Nice touch to include so much of it. There is red in every shot, wether it be the red lines on the walls of the hospital, the quitar sitting in the corner of Kevin's room, Howie's coffee cup, and the color of the image's dress, aj's necklace, or the light's in the background as nick is walking down the street. Also take note to the top of the bus as aj is getting out......"Denniz St.".....obviously done for the late Denniz Pop. The end of the video seems to be the part which is the most uncertain, and is the part which can be interpreted the most in many different ways. From the colors in the sky and the last candle being blown out right at the end, I'd think that this means that they have found piece and have been reunited with the ppl they have lost. A.J.'s: All my friends tried to understand and came up with it is about a old gf he still loves add is lonely w/o her also we thought it could be of his gf that died in a car accident when they wre young b/c it depressed him for awhile. The girl in almost every sence represents an angel coming to tell them it is time to go!!!! I LOVE this video and it is so full of signs, expressions, meanings, and real life!!!
