I have loved this song since May when it came out. But it was only resently (the same time of the release) I truly understand the meaning of the song. I've lost someone very dear to me and when I need comfort, I have found it in these words. With this song I know that I'm not the only person that has ever felt like this or that I'm not alone now in feeling emtpy. But just like the video, it will end with the revelation that there is light at the end of the tunnel and life does go on and I will one day be happy again.

One word...AMAZING! When I first saw the "Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely" video, I cried. It revolves around the situations and deaths that the Backstreet Boys had to deal with. Brian's part revolved around his heart surgery, AJ's around the death of his girlfriend, Kevin's around the death of his father, Howie's around the death of his sister and Nick's around him saving a girl. There was also a part where they added the death of Denniz Pop (Denniz St.). It must have been very difficult for the Backstreet Boys to do this video, having to bring back all the trials and tribulations that they went through these past few years. But in the end, the result was incredible! Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely is and I know always will be #1! Keep up the great work BSB! We all love ya! Peace out guyz...

Jessica

I think SMTMOBL is a very good video. The 1st time i saw it i cryed so hard. When i saw brian standing there looking at himself i cry the hardest. It had a very big effect on me for my own personal resons. I was so upset when i saw kiven and sweet D. I feelt so bad for them. They all look realy good in the video. I think it is the best video yet, i shows how much they have gone from doing what people tell them to what ever they feel like doing cuz they have takein control of there lifes.

Hey Everybody!

This video is my FAVORITE BSB video ever every time I see it I cry it was very well put together and it really does have a meaning. I think that it will be #1 on TRL for quite a long time!! Brian's part touched me the most b/c he's my favorite boy even though I love them all I just really love the way they put it all together only one bad point sorry all you Nick fans but I thought his little part was kind of Stupid! since the girl was standing so close to the bus in the first place I think she would have at least heard it! that was the only bad part of the whole video

Okay, it starts out with Brain watching him self die from his heart problems. Then it goes to Aj sitting on a bus feeling lonley about his ex-girlfriend Denniz, and then it goes to Kevin's part where he is watching videos of his Dad when Kevin was a kid, and then it goes to Nicks part ( I duno what that means ) and then it goes to Howie's part where he thinks of his sister who pasted away last year.

I saw this when they premiered it on MTV's 2 Large party (I live in America) and I swear I almost cried. I do think there is a message in this, though. You see them all sad and stuff (Kevin's part probably touched me the most) but then at the end, they all come together and walk into what I presume to be a sunrise, as most of the video took place at night. I think they're trying to say that, yeah, it's okay to be lonely (heck, sometimes I get so mad at the human race I want to be alone!) but you're never really alone because you've always got friends, and there's always a new day, a new sunrise. I'm gonna end this little thing by saying this, "Tears make rainbows, and when it's dark enough, you can see the stars." KTBSPA!

defentily a deeper message! it's a great song about lost that everyone can realte to in some way, hence the video has deaths of parents, sisters, Denniz Pop, one's own fight with death, and losing friends and girlfirends. we've all been through it and the lyrics are great the video is awesome shows the new level the bsb are on

nick's video everyone....i guess he lost a friend who got hit by a car when he was real real young and he depicted that at the same time as the losing of a girlfirend...that's what i've heard

This video is really the sadest video! Everytime I watch it, it brings tears to my eyes and it breaks my heart when I see the boys all lonely! Especially the part when Kevin and Nick sing "are you with me now?" and it shows Kevin's dad in the background of Kevin!

That part gets me all the time!

It's a great emotional video but it must have been hard for the boys to shoot it with all the real life experiences!

They did an awesome job!

Keep the backstreet pride alive forever and always!
