First of all: Patricia, Dinniz Pop was Backstreetīs PRODUCER! Not their manager...

What I think about the video... Well I must say they have achieved much better than this really, but Iīm very happy that they made a single and video of this special song. The song itselfe it dedicated to their late producer, writer and most important their friend! This song was the last song Denniz helped with the production to the guys album, so it means alot to them. The song was made in November 1998 in the Cheiron Studio in Stockholm.

Denniz, or Dag which was his real name, was the Boys best friend (along w/ Max Martin) and I havenīt ever been more proud to be Swedish!

The boys' latest video " Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely " is by far one of the best videos

I have seen in a long time! I don't believe that it was just a risque of lonely things put together for

the purpose of the video. Each of them poured their hearts and souls into this video. We all know

what each of the boys were singing about, or we should after watching the video. Personally I think that

perhaps it was a form of release for them. I mean, each of them sang about a tragic moment of their lives.

I might be reading more into it then there is, but obviously the video had some deep meaning for the boys.

I think that this song is in memory of there dead manager because if you look on the top of the bus at the end of the video you can see Dennis St. Dennis being there dead manager. I think that its a great and a very good video the first time I saw it on MTV I cryed for the 3 time in my life. I love the video and Howie. If he has no place to go then he can stay at my house in Oklahoma City.

I love this video! This is like the best video I've seen in awhile. The video has a lot to do with their own personal problems....if you're reading this, you probably know that Brian's part was about his heart, Kevin's part about his dad, and Howie's part was about his sister. I totally agree on all those. For AJ, I think his part was about his first girlfriend who died in a car crash. For Nick, I think it was just him being lonely....I don't recall any kind of car accident with a girl....I think that since he joined the group at such a young age, his part of walking down an abandoned street was about the long road he's traveled and how alone he felt during that time. Yeah, he had the guys, but they are all older than him and it was hard for him to give up his childhood for fame.

I think the best parts were when the girls disappeared in the AJ and Howie scene. It was just so emotional....they want the girls to be there with them, and they think they see them, but it's only and image. When the two girls disappear, it seems like all hope is gone for them. =(

I love the candles going out too. It just seems that they light a candle for remberance and hope and when it gets blown out, it's just so depressing! The red imagery is used a lot. Red, in this case, means love. Dennis St was a nice touch and the Howie's sister was in a red dress. Plus one of the girl's had very noticable red lips....can't remember which one that was though.

I just think this is an awesome video. =)

I love SMTMOBL. In my opinion, it is the best Backstreet Boys video to date. The Boys are really baring their hearts and souls in both the song and the video. The first time I heard the song, I was in Germany, and I was going through a time where the thought of someone else being as lonely as I was really touched my heart, and has continued to do so ever since. I couldn't wait for the video to be released, and since my non-BSB fan friends wouldn't let me change the channel to watch the premiere on New Year's, I had to tape it and watch it the next day.

When I saw Brian watching himself in the hospital room, it brought tears to my eyes. Having to endure something as nerve-wracking as heart surgery would be hell for anyone, but for someone whose entire career and livelihood depends on his health, it must be much worse. I was also born with a heart murmur, so this part especially got to me.

AJ's part didn't affect me quite as much, which surprised me, because the simple mention of heartbreak usually brings tears to my eyes. I had enough left over from Brian's scene though. :)

Kevin...oh jeez, how can I start?? This scene made me sob uncontrollably (ok, almost uncontrollably). I can't imagine anything worse than losing a parent, especially one who has meant so much to you. The home videos really got to me. They made me think of my dad and I playing "baseball" (ya know, the big red plastic bats??) in the front yard when I was four years old. I don't know what I would do if I lost him in the next few years. I don't think I could handle it.

I can't say I really understand Nick's part, and although I had an insight about it the other day, I can't remember it now.

Howie's contribution is obviously about his sister. I love the part when Kevin comed in and nods his understanding.

The dedication to Denniz PoP is awesome too.

I feel the end is the most symbolic sequence of all. It shows these five guys, from different places, at different times in life, and all dealing with farily different things, coming together and supporting each other.

Altogether, I think this video really displays the Boys' maturity in their music and in the way they deal with their personal lives. It shows major growth from the dance videos of their last album (not that there's anything wrong with those, but you know what I mean). Maybe this video will show the world that the Backstreet Boys have moved beyond "boy band" status and into the world of serious musicians. KTBSPA!!

Luv ya'll (and especially Brian!!)

Okay, this is the most emotional video I have ever seen in my life. I'm sitting here watching it now and I still find myself in tears. From what me and my friends have figured out, here is the story behind each one of them:

Brian: His rough times with heart surgery.

A.J.: His girlfriend that died in a car accident at the age of 13.

Kevin: The loss of his dad back in 1991.

Nick: I think (I'm not 100% on this) that his friend was hit by a car and that is why he saved the girl from the video.

Howie D.: The loss of his sister due to cancer in 1998.

I love this video, it shows such a sad side to BSB, and it never hit me so hard then when I saw this video how much they have actually been through! Feel free to e-mail me anytime if you want to talk more on it! :o)

Here it goes, my review of SMTMOBL. Being an old BSB fan (in both senses, I'm 17 years old and I'm a fan from a long time ago), I won't review the video as whether they looked cute or not. This is a very deep, emotional and sad video that brought tears to my eyes and it deserves to be analized from a different perspective.

I've been expecting the premiere of SMTMOBL for weeks, and let me tell you, it was well worth the wait! It's the best video ever! My favourite!

Brian: When I saw the ambulance I didn't realice it was Brian who was being carryed into the hospital, but when the camera shows him watching through the window I immediatelly realized it was his spirit watching his dead body (here I started crying). I've read other reviews and people say like he then lives, of course in real life he did (thank God), but in the video when he opens the door of the hospital, did you notice the white light that iluminates his face? I think he died... If anybody agrees or disagrees, e-mail me.

AJ: I believe it represents his girlfriend that died when he was 14 or so. Very touchy! When he turns around and watches her disapeare, I burst into tears again.

AJ: I loved it when I read Denniz St. on the bus that AJ was travelling on. It remembers of their late producer Denniz PoP. I was crying all over again!

Kevin: Oh my God! i cryed so much in this part. He is watching old home movies of him and his father playing football! He has to be very strong as to go through that emotional thing just for a video! I almost choked in the part

where the lyric goes ..."are you with me now?..." and Kevin looks up into heaven as asking his father if he is now with him in his most successful moment.

Nick: I read in a lot of reviews that people believe that it's Nick the one that saves the girl from loneliness. Here I don't agree. Call me weird, but when I saw this part it made me think of Nick's loneliness. He started with the group at a very young age, he didn't have a normal life and couldn't do many friends. So him walking all by himself in the lonely and cold night represents his own loneliness. Well, here comes the part. He saves the girl.

But I believe it's him the one that it's saved. Look, before he had this lonely expression on his face, he seemed sad and devestated, then when he saves the girl his face chances. He looks complete, almost happy. I think that when he meets the girl is when he is saved from his own loneliness. He needs someone badly! I think that this is what it represents.

Howie: I cryed here like hell! At first I didn't get it. I mean, a girl running towards him while Kevin observes the whole scene? Very weird. But when I saw it for the second time (I've taped it, I saw it a million times!), I finally got it. It represents his dead sister. He is helpless and he canīt

do anything to save her and she disapeares. Kevin being there stands for the fact that Kev went through all this, he had lost a close realtive and he knows how Howie is feeling. The nod at the end is him telling Howie that

everything will be OK.

The video: Much props to Stuart Godsling. It has a fabulouse setting, great special effects, a major concept, great video treatments... The only part I didn't like because I quite didn't understand it was when the girl is on top

of the building staring at the moon (???).

The end: Have you noticed how the whole thing chances after the candle? Well, when Brian leaves the hospital you can see a girl lighting some candles. Immediatelly after one candle is blown the guys walk into a colorful place.

The blowing of the candle means the ending of an era. They are changing from loneliness and depression to a new and unknown place. When they walk into that sort of desert, the colours are back, it doesn't rain, there's no fog

and it looks like a warm place. They are walking towards the unknown but better future together.
