I really loved the video I really like seeing some of the things that have affected the guys so much. Like Brian with his heart operation, and Kevin with his fathers pictures. I really like the fact that they put Dennis st to remember Dennis Pop I thought that was really touching. The only problem I had with the video is what they did to Howies the only reason I knew he was suppose to be seeing his sister is because I read the rolling stone article other wise I would have had no idea who was running at Howie. But other than that it was off the hook and I never get tired of looking at it and hearing that wonderful song. KTBSBPA,

I thought that this video was very touching and moving. The first time i saw it i felt tears swell up in my eyes, seeing all the guys in such pain really touched my heart and made me sad...thank gosh they were just acting! SO, what did the video mean? that is the question that everyone has been asking. well, this is what it meant to me:At the beginning of the video it showed Brian's biggest fear, him dieing from his heart problems. Have you ever noticed that right after the doctor takes the breathing device off his face he sings, "so hard to breath..." It's a connection.
The next part when they show AJ is really really sad. I exspecially like the part when they show the teardrop drop from his face. It shows meaning, and passion...it shows how much the girl in that picture meant to him. without the teardrop the meaning of his part would have definetly have never been as clear as it was. WHo is the girl in the picture? that is a tricky question. I've heard that it was his girlfriend who died in a car accident when she was 14 years old, i've heard that it's his ex-girlfriend, and i've also heard that it's what he thought that his twin sister that died at birth would have looked like. To tell you the truth ,we'd probably haveto ask him to find out that question.
Kevin's part is really really touching also. We've all obviously found out that the film's in the background were of him and his father. This part really showed meaning to kevin's life, and how much of an impact that his father had in it!
Nick's part to me, was probably the most confusing. I personally think that maybe he was sort of a "guardian angel" I mean that would explain the fact that he saved that girl from being hit by the bus, and if you take the words that he sings in the song and compare it to the part he plays in the video, it makes more sence. he sings, "theres no control are you with me now? Your every wish will be done, they tell me...." And also at the end do you notice that they all go out to nick in the road, it was like he attracted them there, thats also why it kindof seemed like he was a guardian angel. I'm not quite sure if thats what his part represents, but thats the most sence i could make out of his part. And by the way, nick couldn't look any finer!!!!! :0) I love him!!!!!
Howie's part was very easy to figure out. He was imagining his sister who died coming back to him. it was also very tragic...but i didn't get why they had him in a coffee shop...hmmmm...
At the end when kevin gave Howie that "look" i think that it was great! it seemed like he was saying, "come on, it's time to go." When they all walked out into the street by Nick i thought it was great. it looked as though they new that if they stuck together everything would be fine, and thats why they all eventually walked into a straight line. I personally think that this was the best video the backstreet boys have made!!!! I hope to see more like this so come!

I Love the video. First of all they were all ghosts(this is what I was told anyway) Brian was looking back on loosing himself. From his surgery ( if something had happened). Aj lost his gurlfriend, and he was remembering her. Kevin really lost his dad. And Howie his sister. Nick didn't want to lose his girlfriend so he pulled her out of the way of the bus. Denniz is their producer or someone like that who died from cancer last year and they are remembering him. This is all stuff that I have heard it may not all be true. Sorry

hi.........this is what i think "show me the meaning of being lonely" the video represents what each boy has went through this past few years. for example in the first part of the video where brian is watching himself going into cardiac arrest represents the heart surgery that he had to undergo and thankfully in real life hewent through it successfully and where in the second part of the video where aj was in the bus looking at the picture of a girl and crying represents the break up he went through with his girlfriend...........

The first time I saw SMTMOBL it reminded me of all the losses and deaths in my Family.Althought I think Nick should have had a bigger part in the video. I really liked the part with Kevin and the whole film thing.
Over all the video was really good i liked it a lot.

This is my favourite song. The video just reinforces that fact. You know when you are on to a good thing when your sister (who for at least the past year has been anti-backstreetboys and anti-me (he he)) falls in love with the video and can't stop watching it over and over again -- and has even resigned to letting me take over the household with my obsession. Worse still she has gone nuts for Brian (knew it would happen just knew it)

When I first heard the song I cried a little, but when I saw the video for the first time I cried a lot! Wow, what a fantastic video. My favorite part is where you see Kevin and his dad in one shot and Kev is singing: Are you with me now? I think this is beautifull, not only because I lost my father on cancer when I was 21, but it shows so much emotion and love.... Everybody who ever went true something sad could relate to this video... Guys, you are the best, I love you and I'll be a fan forever!! Kevin, you are my hero, my dream is to meet you one day, I love you! ASTRID (31), Holland
