Kevin losing his father, Brian being dead, A.J. losing a very important relationship, etc.) I also think that the video is a sort of tribute to Denniz Pop, which is shown as A.J. gets off of the bus titled "Denniz St." It expresses EXACTLY what they meant for it to express.....LONLINESS! The colors and all... anyway, the only things I don't like much about it is that it's VERY confusing... I've tried sorting it all out, but anyway.. here's some thoughts : Brian, well - obviously enough, he's now a ghost.. or a lost soul, whatever. Aj, well.. either the girl is dead or she broke up - either way, it's obvious he misses her. Kevin misses his father, Nick is just lonely - And howie that's probably his sister he's missing. But what I didn't get is that girl that's just everywhere!! (anyway i think it's the same girl): the one in the bus, the one arguing near the elevator, the one at the bar, and the one Nick saves .. obviously the same girl can't be anywhere at once, so there's something wrong. Got me wondering -- could this girl be representing loneliness?? (or smth like that)... I dunno, but anywho - this video needs to be clearer.. I dun get why the girl lights those candles either....okay well, others things I dunno if yoiu've noticed the "denniz pop" memory thingie... On the front of the bus, the name of the street, it's Denniz. I makes us think that we can be human and miss those love ones of ours. Each member of the group performed his part very well. Brian thinking about his surgery, Kevin thinking about his dad and Howie thinking of Caroline. Nick and AJ have touching parts too but they aren't as meaningful and the others. Well that is what I think of the video. Nick is walking and remembering his lost love. When he saves the girl from the bus she has a suitcase, so she is running away from someone as well. He saves her, but the water that sprays between them represents the seperation of the two: him missing his chance. I don't think that the girl is his girlfriend, just another person who has been unlucky in love and going through the same thing as Nick. My sister, a friend, and I sat and decided to watch it. MY REVIEW/ MY COMMENTS: On Brian in the hospital: "What's he doing there? maybe that's his g/f in the hospital bed." When I saw Brian in the hospital bed: "Oh my god! poor Brian!" "He looks so pale. I guess imagery is the key here." On AJ in the bus crying: "Poor AJ. I wanted to cry too. Is that a real tear?" On Kevin watching movies of his father: "I'm so moved by that part. I lost my grandma last year and I can totally relate to losing someone you love." On Nick's situation:"I didn't get what his was at first. I guess he is saving the girl from lonliness or something." On Howie's situation: "Poor Howie now! He lost his sister. Another thing I can relate to. losing my grandma." The ending: "I like how they just wanna escape the lonliness in they're lives." OVERALL RATING OUT OF 5: I GIVE IT A 5 FOR BOTH THE SONG A VIDEO. It menas so much to me. Just b/c my dad is dying. This song in a way lifts my spirits. I know this song is about loss. The part I like best is when B~rok opens the doors and the white light appears. It's almost like he's dying and coming back to life if ya know what I mean. Those are my thought on Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely. KTBSBPA!!!!!
