Ok, let me explain, lol,....All of the Backstreet Boys have come from nowhere to be the superstars that they are. They have had to work extremely hard to accomplish what they have. The success that they all are experiencing wasn't just handed to them. In fact, Brian had no expectations of being a pop star and was working at Long John Silver's before he hit it big with the BSB. Howie, AJ, Kevin, and Nick were all working little odd jobs doing commercials or working at Disney World trying to make ends meet. Plus, I don't know if a lot of people know this, but Nick was actually homeless for a little while when he was younger. Aw....sad I know, but true. So, there we get the sort of "Street" thing going on. The Backstreet Boys also said that this album is getting a little edgier, and "Straight From the Street" is a cute little play off of their name BackSTREET Boys. lol. Well, e-mail and tell me what you think, but don't be too mean. lol. It's just something I thought was cute. At the end of the day, does it matter if BSB break Nsync's record? Nsync may never sell another album after this year their fans are far too fickle, lets face it, the vast majority of Nsync fans are teenagers and teenagers are fickle, most of them were BSB fans until Brian and Kevin announced that they were getting married and they suddenly switched, but thats life. And another thing, Nsync's music just is'nt diverse enough to interest adults, and just because they sold over 2million in one week does not make it a great album. But, on looking through this site I have witnessed some of the most spiteful submissions, obviously from some very childish people who appear to have nothing better to do. I bet you do'nt see Madonna and Janet Jackson fans trashing each other like this, you can tell Nsync have a lot of spoilt brats on their site, they should stay over there and stop polluting this site. This is a BSB site and if people want to come and write nice things about them them that is their business. Grow up, or at least put up a good argument. I think the title speaks for itself. As for the new album title, no-one really knows what it is called yet, but if it is called Black and Blue, what should it matter. There is nothing wrong with that title. And on some submissions, fans have said that if that is the name of the new album they wont be buying it and they call themselves fans, they are not. I will be buying it even if they call it Sh!t with Sugar On Top, because I am a true fan and not a spoilt child. N'sync are good and so is their album, but BSB will always be no.1. Submitted by Monica from Cleveland UK Date: Tue Sep 5 05:14:24 2000 Ashley, I have to agree with you up to a point, the reason that I do'nt think that we should lump BSB and Nsync together is because both bands sound different from each other. Cya BSB now sound extremely sophisticated and if I was going to put two groups together I would say that BSB are a white Boyz To men, no other band does the harmonies as good. They also appeal to a much wider audience than Nsync, come on, do you seriously think that any self respecting adult is gong to buy an album with only two ballads on it, lets face it if you want to dance NSA would be a good album to buy, but if you want a more diverse album you would go out and buy Millennium. I'm 44 years old and I love BSB's music, and what sets them apart is their vocals, unfortunately Nsync do'nt have great voices, they are passable at a push but not great. (Justin Timberlake whines quite a lot when he sings) And as for Nsync having a huge fan base in Europe, I live in England and Nsync have no- where near the big fan base that you are talking about, their last single only got to number 13 in our charts and their album did even worse than that (14) which is very very poor. We expect a band that is supposed to be huge to easily get into the top ten. (BSB have gotten into the top ten with every record on the Millennium album, with I Want It That Way going straight to number 1) I have no doubt that Nsync will do better but all over Europe it is BSB who have the larger fan base. Please do'nt say that this is not true, I live in Europe, watch MTV and know for a fact that as far as pop groups go Nsync is about number 5 in the popularity stakes, with groups like 5ive, Westlife, Boyzone having a much bigger fan base than Nsync, by the way BSB is the number 1 pop band all over Europe. So even though Nsync have made some impact it is not huge, even Britney Spears is bigger over here than they are. Now you may think that I am picking on Nsync, I'm not, I only wish good things for them guys, but I hate it when people can't get their facts straight. And as for BSB and Nsync only loving the fans because we buy their records, that is true, without us these bands would be nothing, but they repay us by making records that we want to listen to. On a final note, BSB are the BIGGEST pop group in the world and even though some Nsync fans can't or wont believe it, this is a fact.
