I think that, and you can't totally deny this, that once Nick said what his fave was and what he wanted it to be, it not longer was "Fans pick the Next single", it was "Fans pick what Nick Carter wanted." The voted for "The One" CLEARLY skyrocketed as soon as Nick mentioned what he wanted to win. Im sure the song will be a great single and video, but im my opinion, I think it would have been fairer if Nick would have kept to himself would he wanted the single to be, since he had to have known what the effects of him saying it would be. Submitted by Steph from San Diego Ca USA Date: Fri Mar 17 15:34:53 2000 i chose 'The One' and i'm ecstatic it won. now don't get me wrong, i think 'It's gotta be you' is a good song and 'Don't want you back' is a great song. they could've released it, but it would sound too much like N'suck's "Bye Bye Bye". the song's convey the same message and i already hear enough of 'Bye x3'. if they had released it earlier it would have been better. if it had been chosen, it would sound like the BSB were trying to copy them or something. "The One" is so sentimental. i'm sure their video will be supurb (like usual). i just hope that Brian & Kevin have their fiancees in the video. how sweet would that be? but i'm sure whatever they choose to do it will be fabulous. i can't wait to see it... I think it is a wonderful song and that it has real potential to be a number 1 single for BSB. I personally voted for this song a lot. It is one of my favorites on the album and I'm happy it won.
