Millennium: Concert Memories

I have seen the Backstreet Boys three times in concert and they keep getting better and better. The best I have ever seen them was most recently, on September 24, 2000 at the Continental Airlines Arena. I went with my three best friends who are all huge fans and we were so pysched because we got the tickets two days before the concert and they were in the seventh row. The best part about the concert is hard to pick out because I loved every minute of it! But I would have to say when Brian was waving and singing to me and my best friend Colleen. We started screaming and hugging each other and Brain laughed and put his hands on his head and screamed with us! It was the best! And also when Kevin flew directly over us....w eweren't expecting him to be so close. I don't think he was either cuz he put his hands down to touch ours and we flipped out and jumped up to grab him. He was a little shocked by how easily we could have pulled him down and he had to pull away. And when we took pictures of him over us, our flashes got him in the eye and he was blinking and laughing while we all apologized. That was defintiely the best concert I have ever been to!!

I went to my second Backstreet Boys' concert on October 7, 1999, in Rosemonet, Illinois at the Allstate Arena. I can remember that day very vividly, with one specific moment of the two hours sticking out in my mind. I'm sure many of you remember this time at the concert - especially if you were at the same show as I was. Throughout the show, the fans were loud, but not crazy-loud like I was expecting. But there was one moment were the 30,000 fans screamed/sang louder than I've ever heard before. It was during "I Want It That Way," during the part when Nick sings with such raw emotion, "Don't wanna hear you say..." Everyone just went insane (I think that everyone just realized that the Boys were leaving after this song), and I still get chills whenever I hear that part of the song. I can't wait to see our five fave boys live again soon! KTBSBPA Forever and a Day... and a day after that, too!

I went to the show back in September 23rd at the Continental Airlines Arena in New Jersey. My favorite part of the show was when they started singing "I Want It That Way" and their mics went out. It was funny because the audience just kept singing the song but then we were confused and really thought something was wrong. Then Brian said "We blew out the power in here! So how about we sing the song one more time!" This made everyone very happy, especially me because I love that song. Then I was sad because after that, the concert was over and they made their way underneath the stage. That was the best day of my life. I can't wait 'till they go on tour again and come back to New Jersey.

The best part was when Nick waved to me from backstage! And during Don't Want You Back. We had Nick on our side so I was like going krazy when they started dancing all funky on those ladders *licks her lips* And when Nick took silly string out of his pocket and covered Howies head with it lol! The whole show was great! I saw the Millennium show twice but the second time was better becuz it was their very last into the millenium concert ever. They acted really crazy and had these funny dance contests! The Boys let the show run till well over 11:00 so it rocked!

I WENT TO MY FIRST BSB CONCERT ON SEPTEMBER 26TH AT NASSAU COLISEUM IN LONG ISLAND, NY. I WAS SO EXCITED, EVEN THOUGH I KNEW I HAD A NOSEBLEED SEAT. AS AN OLDER FAN ( IAM 30) I HAVE TO ADMIT I WAS A LITTLE UNCOMFORTABLE WITH ALL THE YOUNGER FANS. Z-100 OUR LOCAL RADIO STATION WAS PARKED OUTSIDE AND THEY WERE DOING ALOT OF CONTEST TO TRY TO WIN STUFF AND THEY THREW BSB ITEMS OUT IN THE AUDIENCE- IAM SHORT AT 5'1 SO I COULD NOT REACH UP TO GRAB ANYTHING. I DID GET HIT IN THE FACE ALOT BY TALLER FANS.LOL

Hey everyone, well I went to the concert on October 16, 1999 here in Anaheim at the Pond with my 6 year old daughter Merissa. And I do have to say that we both enjoyed it very much. I thought it was neat how they flew out like they were on snowboards and the opening song really went with the whole space theme. My daughter and I had a real good time. We also loved the part when they sang the song "Perfect Fan". Now that really made me cry cuz just when they were about done singing it my daughter turned to me and told me that she loved me and was thankful that I brought her to see the Backstreet Boys, cuz they are her favorite (especially Nick, Brian and A.J.). But the only thing that we didn't like about the concert were our seats. We were about 8 rows away from the back wall up in the balcony. We couldn't really make out their faces, we had to watch them on the t.v. monitors. I hope next time we can get closer seats. But other than that it was worth it.

Well, me and my friend drove all the way to Indianapolis for the second part of the tour (for those of you who don't know, that's about a 5 hour drive). We'd already seen them twice when they came to Chicago but we ended up going again. Our tickits were for 13th row in the slanted section (not floor and not balcony...in between) and we were so excited! So we get there (finally) and we get to our seats and we notice there are these huge tv cameras in our seats. I almost died because I thought they were gonna put us up in the balcony but we ended up getting 6th row floor seats! I guess if that wasn't highlight enough, I managed to grab Kevin's attention and he waved at me and I jusmped on my friend, not knowing that he was still looking at us. He did a double take and giggled while waving to my friend as she struggled to pull me off of her. It was definitely one of the best nights of my life!

I really don't have a favorite part, I liked all of it! The show was so good! I especially liked "All I have To Give" and "Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely" live. I like all theopening acts they had too, like Mandy Moore and The Jungle Brothers. Their entrance was really cool!

i went to the november second concert in iowa city, iowa. one of my many favorite parts was were kev said that he felt useless, because his arm was in the sling, but he would sing his heart out for us. i thought it was so sweet and he looked so cute. but really...the whole night was amazing, and i had this undescribable feeling throughout my body that i've never experienced before. thanks to the bsb, and i love ya kev!
