If i had the money, i would spend up to $200 a ticket. And for front row tickets, i would consider up to $600 a ticket, but they gotta be good. But of course, i don't have that type of money otherwise, i would have tickets. But unfortunately, i don't so i don't go to the concert.

Well, I used to be soooo obsessed I'd pay anything to see Backstreet Boys. I wanted to go to their Columbus Concert since they weren't coming to Cleveland for the first part of their USA "Into the Millennium" tour. I went to one of their concert in '98. I didn't get good seats cz I wasn't prepared. So year '99 for my birthday... EVERYONE who got me something, I asked them for JUST money. I did that so I could save as much money I could for the concert.I didn't eat my lunch for the last 3 months of the previous school year. The tickets went on sale Aug. 14 '99 for the Columbus Concert. Ughhh... 4 hours away, I didn't have a ride. My parents refused to drive me, as so did the others. I found out the price for front row ticktes.I then offered my mom $100 to drive us there. "NO!" I offered her $200. "NOO!" I offered her $300. "NOOO!" Then one of my friends said to move it up to $400 cz she'll add $100. "NOOOOO!" Damn it. We had no way there :*(

I woke up in time to be at the store when it opened. Lady said "that won't do any good. Go home and get some rest. The tickets are being sold by a lottery."

Well, we both love the Backstreet Boys more than anything in the world. Yet, we have never gotten a chance to see them in concert. We have both tried SO many times to get tickets by phone and failed every single time. Neither of our parents have credit cards either which makes it harder. So, we have to borrow other peoples credit cards. And those people are only willing to spend so much for concert ticets. Even though we would spend up to $400 a ticket. And up to $2000 to get backstage. Well, now that one of us have a job, Manda, it makes it a little easier. We now have 2 concert tickets to see our guys in Dallas,TX on 03/04/00. We're SO excited! We have nosebleed seats but at least we finally got our beloved tickets. We are driveing 7 hours away though. And with Manda's job and Chrissy don't odd jobs around the house and neighborhood, we are willing to earn enough money to pay to drive all the way there and pay for 2 nights in a hotel. We also are gonng rent a car. All together w/ food and other things we'll need we will be spending close to $700 to see the Backstreet Boys. What can we say? We love 'em!

Some of you guys that got very close seats are so lucky. I saw BSB in September of 1998 and they were great, but not like the way people say about the Millennium tour. I got tickets, but they were really bad. We drove more than 4 hours to get to Allentown, PA. My friend and I didn't even go to our seats, we stood as close as we could get. It was a great concert, I was sore from standing in the heat to get in. We stood from 1 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. when the gates opened. Then, we stood all through the concert until it was over at 10:30. I was shocked at how good they were in concert. Then, Augustr 14th, 1999 rolled around. My mother and I tried calling ticketmaster for more than 2 or 3 hours. Then we finally got through, just to find out that boths nights in Washington, D.C. were sold out. I was so depressed that I cried for 8 days straight. Then, on December 4th, I found out that the Backstreet Boys were going to have another tour, and they were going to State College, PA which is only 2 and a half hours away from me. I flipped out! I ran into my parents room at 1:00 a.m. to tell my mom what I just read on the internet. My mom was just happy that I could have another chance. Then, December 11th came up so quickly. I was at my friend's house calling to get tickets on both of her lines. And my mom was calling at ouor house to get tickets. We called for at least 4 hours trying to get tickets, but we never got through. I was so upset, but I was determined that I was going to cry. I cried for about 4 hours, then I realized that I could always go see them some other time. That is what I said the last time that I didn't get tickets, but oh well. So, as of right now, I am still looking for tickets to buy off of a scapler or somebody else. I know that I will probably not get to see BSB on Feb. 11th or 12th, but I know that in my heart, I will just imagine tthem, like I did when they were in D.C. in September. If I could afford the tickets that scaplers are selling, I would pay as much as possible, but I know that they want too much. I just hope that I can get tickets before the concert is over. I am going to talk my mother into letting me take the car up to State College to try to get tickets from a scapler before the concert. I just pray to God that I can see them in Feburary. If anyone wants to e-mail me about tickets, they can. I hope that I can afford your price. Thank you for your time if you actually read this long thing.

I would probably NOT spend hundreds of dollars on concert tickets to see the Backstreet Boys. Let me tell you why. I've seen the guys perform four times. I had front row seats for the first three shows. I paid regular price for the first show. This was a couple years ago when they were just getting big, so the seats were only about 25 bucks a pop. For the second show, I spent $350.00 for my front row seat (my friend did the same). We were smack in the center of the front row and had the best seats in the house (in my opinion). That ended up being the best concert experience of my life! It was awesome. For the third show, I paid $250.00 for a front row center seat (as did my friend). We then paid $700.00 for a package deal that included going backstage before the show, eating dinner backstage (with the artists), and going backstage for intermission (which is right after the opening acts are done performing). We also had limo service to and from the show. The package included four extra concert tickets (5 rows from the stage), so we had 4 lucky friends attend the show and go backstage and meet the Boys with us. The last show I went to was one of the Millennium shows. I paid $1800.00 for 4 tickets, 2 of which were in the second row from the stage and 2 in the third row. Well, I (finally) realized that I was a little over my head with that outrageous price, so I sold the tickets, and bought regular priced seats (we got GREAT seats - 5th row from the stage on the tiers). After having spent so much time worrying about the cost of those tickets for the Millennium show, I figured out it really isn't worth the hassle to seek out ticket brokers and try to "bargain" with them (trust me, even $100.00 is not a bargain for a BSB ticket - the only TRUE bargain is the original FACE VALUE of the ticket). Yes, call me stupid for having spent so much. But you know, I don't regret it at all. I've just learned a lesson. By spending a little bit extra, I got to see the BSB up close and personal, meet and eat dinner with them, and enjoy their talents at close range. I've got an amazing photo album with great up close shots of the guys. That's something I treasure and value a lot, and something I wouldn't have really had if I hadn't spent extra. I just wouldn't pay the atrocious amounts again. I'll go see the Boys again, definately, but now that I've had my fill of the "up close" sensation.. well, I'm fine with sitting anywhere in the arena now. For y'all who wonder if you should be spending more on tickets.. if you honestly NEED to sit up close (like I felt I had to), then by all means, do it if you've got the cash. You won't regret it unless you find yourself totally broke later (which hopefully won't be the case!)
