"IWITW" is a special song to me because this is the first song that she ever sang. She knew every word to it last summer and now she sings parts of almost all of the songs. Her favorites are "Larger Than Life" and "I'll Never Break Your Heart." Her favorite Backstreet Boy changes from day to day but most of the time she parades around the house in hats and shades singing and pretending to be AJ! I had heard "Larger than Life" but it was really both that and "I want it that way" that made me a true Backstreet fan. I believe that "I want it that way" is a sticky, and that it is a really good song. I can just picture hearing it on the radio one day in the future,turning up the volume and singing along,just remembering these special times in my life. But the most memorable moment was at my cousin's wedding. I had requested it and my mom and I hit the floor. The DJ started playing it. And I didnt realize how loud I was singing it until the part in the video when Nick bends over( I mimicked that move) I sang it really loud and then looked up and everyone was staring at me and just kept singing. I sing it in public all the time my friends have since stopped going shopping with me. But hey once you listen to the song just once it is in you head and heart for the rest of your life. The Backstreet Boys have made a winner. My dad finally admitting to liking that song. The funniest thing was when my mom and I were waiting in the car for my dad and my mom had that song on and turned it down low and as soon as my dad got in the car he cranked it up. I have two Backstreet Boys fans for parents. As my dad says I can handle the Boys but I refuse to choke down N Sync. He forgets that i like N Sync but I am not allowed to watch them when my dad is in the room. Can we say obsessed with BSB, DAD! I Want It That Way is a great song. It sticks with me and it always will. It brings back so many memories of the summer of 99. It brings back all the memories of me and my friends together. I love the song and I always will!!! I have only one thing to say and that is that the Backstreet Boys should keep doing what they do best, singing. Their music is the best and it always will be. Submitted by snowgirl from chesapeake va usa Date: Mon May 1 19:16:10 2000 Just in case anyone didn't hear this on Casey's American Top Twenty last Sunday - as of this weekend, "I Want It That Way" will have been on the adult contemporary charts for ONE SOLID YEAR!!! That is truly amazing! As an older fan of the Boys, I think that song is simply one of the best pop songs ever made. And I'm so proud of how they've successfully made the transition over to the adult contemporary crowd - NOT an easy feat for a teen-based group. But to be honest, I never thought of them as a "Boy Band". I always thought they had the goods, and talent like that will be around for a LONG time to come! And the charts are showing it. By the way, I heard that Jive Records is going to release "The One" as a single. Well, isn't that GENEROUS of them!! (LOL) The Boys have been robbed of a U.S. Billboard #1 time and time again (especially with Millenium) because they wouldn't release any singles commercially. Billboard tallies up BOTH sales and air play, so I really believe that our guys will finally get their first Billboard #1 with, appropriately enough, "The One"!!! KTBSPA!!!
