I agree w/ all of you that BSB should've won at least 2 awards. But I have a problem with some fans saying that Santana doesn't deserve the awards cuz he just plays a guitar. Playing the guitar is still music ya know? Music is not just singing. If u guys know how hard it is even learning the musical concepts of playing an instrument, maybe you'll appreciate it more. Santana has played the guitar for years and I think he definitely has a talent. He did earn the majority of the awards (although I do have a prob w/ him winning almost all the awards). The Grammys is about MUSIC. Music can be playing an instrument or singing. Just becuz Santana doesn't sing doesn't mean that what he does ISN'T music.

I think that the Backstreet boys should have gotten album of the year, record of the year and song of the year. Their album sales broke Garth Brooks record, and they even recieved a diamond award. Santana's album did not.

My biggest problem with the Grammy's is that the Backstreet Boys should have at least won album of the year. By statistics, Millennium is the number 1 selling album in the world. The only young artist who won was Christina Aguilara because her award was best newcommer. The Simpsons always jokes that a Grammy isn't a real award and during this year's show I realized that. It's nothing but a bunch of anal judges who continuously choose music legends as winners regardless of the new and better talent they might be up against. Now what kind of achievement is that? In general, the Grammy always goes to the old guy!

I think that of all the nominies that the Backstreet Boys should have definitley gotten album of the year. There is not a song on the album Millenium that I can't listen to. I can just put that CD on repeat and listen to it for hours. I find it appalling that the Boys didn't win at least one category that they were nominated for! The grammy's were completely off in the choosings this year. The Boys are the only reason I even watched it!

Ok, now that's just horrible. The poor BSB didn't even leave the Grammy's with a single award, even when they were nominated for 4 of them. That's just seriously horrible. Santana is a pretty good artist but still... he practially went home with everything! What's more is that for most of his work, he has a guest person in it. Whereas the Backstreet Boys... they do all their own singing, etc etc. They may not write all their own songs, but their singing talent makes up for it. I thought their performance that night was exceptionally awesome and it's great that they got to perform with Elton John. I don't think that the Grammy's turned out the way that it should have because the Boys worked really hard (but I'm not saying that Santana or the other nominees didn't work hard as well). They put out some really exceptional work and they should have at least walked away with one Grammy. The way that the awards turned out was very disappointing to me... but then, there's always next year!

First of all I think the BSB deserved at least 1 Grammy but what can we do? At least they increased their nominations and thatīs important too. For Santana, Iīm cool with him winning a lot of Grammys but all, come on?? Obviously the judges didnīt even look at the other nominations they just looked at Santana and they gave them to him no matter what the song was. In my opinion the song MariaMaria didnīt deserve a Grammy and less Sting for pop album...Doesnīt 30 million sold albums says something? Yeah that is really good and peolple like it... I think they are subestimating teenīs talent. But not to worry someday will get them!!!! About the performance on the a capella segment they sounded amazing as usual, but when they sang SMTMOBL the technical sound was horrible I could hardly hear Nick, and Howie was too high.. Nick was singing beautiful but to hear him you have to turn the volume reaaly high so then you could notice it..that really got me mad cause thatīs one of my favorite songs and they put their hearts on it. All around the Grammys 2000 wasnīt that much for me I was very certain that they were going to win I almost cry....By the way Britney sucked when she sang live, she demostrated to the world that she canīt sing a crap. Well, Iīm finished at last ...Byeeeee

It was a total RIP OFF. santana didn't deserve half of all the awards he got. Either did TLC or STING. BSB did deserve more then two, espeacilly for Record of the year and best group/duo performance. Even though we didn't win they are still and will always be the best and #1. And BACKSTREET BOYS had the best performance, they sounded the best!!!!!

NOW I REALLY THINK THAT THE BOYS DID AN EXCELLENT JOB WITH THEIR PERFORMANCE, AND WITH ELTON JOHN. BUT I DO THINK THAT THE BOYS SHOULD HAVE WON THE BEST POP PERFORMANCE AND ALBUM OF THE YEAR. I AM SO SORRY BUT SANTANAS ALBUM DID NOT COMPAIR WITH THE BOYS ALBUM.
