What do you think about the outcome of the 2000 Grammy Awards?

First Page - Previous - Next - Last - Add Entry - Other Topics - Message Boards - Exit Page 7 of 50 Submitted by Jessica from Phoenix AZ USA Date: Wed Mar 8 20:06:24 2000 i was REALLY hoping bsb would take at least one grammy, even though my friend kept telling me the competition was too hard, and i guess in my heart i knew it was, but i still wanted them to win. everyone who says santana shouldn't have gotten his grammys, ur right, he doesn't deserve it, he just plays smoothe, rob thomas wrote and sang it! i mean, yea, he is amazing on the guitar, but give him an award for that, not for best album, its hardly his! ugh, bsb so should've gotten that one, they definately need younger voters! i mean, there was a grammy voting thing here in AZ and bsb took their grammys by like 57% or something, santana had only like 30%, i mean if that isn't proof what is? thats ok, we all know they won in our hearts! and they were awesome performers! plus think of this, at least they were nominated,'n suck wasn't even nominated!! ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! get a hair cut justin! (or better yet, just die!!! no, that's too mean, just put out ur new album with ur ugly buddies that somehow got the title of a band, let alone a cute band that girls love, and we'll all just hope that it flops and u guys disappear forever, and bsb is left to be #1 forever, not that u being gone is really necessary for that to happen!) sorry about that long dis on 'n suck but it had to be said, well all i have to say is santana better not be back next year, cause if he is he'd better watch out cause his luck isn't gonna last for long and bsb is gonna clean out the grammys next year!!!!!!!!!! What is up with Santana being up for both Pop and Rock! I think that if they had of stayed in the Rock category, since that is what they are, then the Backstreet Boys would have one. Don't get me wrong, Santana is great, but we all konw when most of the people voting are about 30, then of course they are going to pick Santana. I think they need to get way more people below 30 voting. Either that or create another Pop category and allow the viewers to choose. Oh and we can't forget about Jennifer Lopez's..uh...dress. Yeah, that's it. Since when did drapes become clothing. Not only was it trashy, but it was ugly! What was she thinking?? I don't know how Santana could beat them! I love the new song they performed it was awesome!!! They did a great job as back up singers for Elton John too.
