The Grammy's? They were totally rigged! I mean, how is it possible Carlos Santana could even get nominated for so many awards? "Best pop album" and" best rock album"? Well, is it pop or rock? They're totally different! And he was nominated for "best new group" but also for "best performance by a duo or group with vocal" which is a catergory specificaly for ESTABLISHED bands/groups! How can Santana be NEW but alreadly ESTABLISHED?!

And how did Sting beat out the BSB?! How did anyone beat the BSB?! They definately deserved at LEAST one measly award! I really don't think the Grammy's are done fairly at all, there's something fishy...

However I did LOVE both the guys performances! They sounded and looked sooo good! I seriously love Nick's hair!!

I don't know what Britney Spears was doing there, but I know the BSB ROCKED and deserved an award!

I think the Backstreet Boys did a great job performing at the Grammys. Their voices filled up the room and their beautiful faces brightened it up. Brian is my favorite backstreet boy and I must say that he sounded awesome. I am really glad that they got to sing TWICE, that's a big honor. They really should have won a Grammy, but just realize that not geting one is going to make them work harder. They'll get it next year!

Although i could not watch the performance live...I heard it on your site and must I say...The Backstreet Boys have

don't it again. It was just sooooooooooooo great! I loved the part where they sang how deep is your love and smtmobl.

Santana did deserve some of the awards he took. But I really think that he belongs more to the rock catergory.

I mean....look, he got nominteed in both the rock and pop catergories! BSB really deserve the award for the

pop performance and album! I simply loved millennium. I have never heard an album sooo beautifully done before

like it!!! But what's done been done. let's hope for the best for next year! KTBSPA!!!!!

P.S: thanks for letting me let off my steam!

It's ok that Santana got a lot of prises but the boys desurv at least 1.

They have been working really hard this year.

It's like the EMA with Britney or the VMA with Ricky.

With all the respect to Santana the choise wasn't all fair.

But still, Keep The Backstreet Pride Alive!!!!!!!!!

It did kinda feel like the academy was kinda dangling grammys in front of the newer artists, but some of them were awarded to the older guys for a good reason.

Ok, I do think Santana swept a little more than he should have. Does he know the meaning of SHARE?!? But it wasn't his fault, Santana is definitely an extremely talented and popular artist. My dad's got all his old albums. Anyway, for all his effort when he was younger, he never received any acknowledgments whatever for his achievements. It's kinda making up for lost time. About time people. And other groups like Black Sabbath too, that was one well deserved.

The fact that Rob Thomas got an award for that song too is good, I don't think he quite would have made it with Matchbox 20, but i think it's just opened up new doors for him. Sorry, but I'm a Matchbox 20 fan as well.

All is not lost people. Like Rob Thomas, doors have been opened for the boys. I mean, they definitely showed them with their EXCELLENT a cappella performance. That totally blew me away. And by them, I meant the critics and the sceptics and the academy themselves. It's kind of good in a way, because the next time they get nominated, it would be so much better if they actually wrote the song they were nominated for and they eventually won. That would be so good publicity if that happened.

Now they proved their amazing voices, maybe at the next grammys, they could play their own instruments or something. Gain more credibility and undermine the whole pretty boy, flash in the pan type act. Show us your talents guys. And remember, there's always next year.

The Grammies are voted on by older, more "establishment" kinds of people; traditionally they tend to be stodgy and behind the times in their selections of winners (or even nominees, for that matter). The fact that the Boys were even nominated speaks highly of them (Boys). Not winning is disappointing, but I hope they don't take it to heart, because it is NOT a reflection of popular opinion at all. I know they really want critical approval as well as the fans', but for now I hope they will be happy that they still (and ALWAYS) have the fans' absolute approval no matter what happened at the Grammies. Santana's awards seemed to be more a reflection of his career rather than that particular piece of work. The Boys are doing things right, and they should just keep on being themselves. Critics will eventually have to come around. In the meantime, we fans can continue to do what we can to let them know they are ALWAYS THE WINNERS with us.

Hey y'all! I'm a backstreet fan that lives in China and love the boys with all my heart! I think that they deserve at least an award for being the best pop band on the face of this earth! NOT BOY BAND!

I apologize to the Webmaster, but I seriously need to diss someone on this Board who has been writing some crap. Kraz, you're a loser. Not just because you dissed the guys, but because you said they deserved aids. What the hell. Aids isn't something to be joked about and if anybody deserves it, it isn't the Backstreet Boys. They always have time to meet fans who have cancer, aids, lupus (cancer and lupus are the sicknesses that took away Howie's and Kevin's father and sister). They give concert money to charity and funds that help find a cure for these diseases. If you seriously don't like the Boys, then don't go on their damned site. I swear, you're just a piece of crap. Go to hell!

I think that Santana earned the most of his grammy's.

I didn't think that the BSB should have won the grammy for best song because SMTMOBL is not the best song of the Backstreet Boys. But I guess they earned a grammy for best album. Millenium is a great album.

I also found it unfair that Christina Aguillera won a grammy for best newcomer. I guess that Britney Spears deserved it.

We can judge a whole year about the grammy's but we can't forget one thing: if there would be a grammy for the best prformance on a show the BSB would have won it!

The performance with Elton was sooooo great and also SMTMOBL.

Special thanks to Caitlin who is just great!

Thanks, Caitlin, for the great fotos of the show!

Lots of love and many greetings from Austria/Europe

Christina
