FROM ONE OF THE OLDER BACKSTREET BOYS FANS!!!First of all, all these immature people who want to keep coming on here and making all these crude remarks about the Backstreet Boys need to get a life. If the Backstreet Boys were as bad as some of you are saying why would they have even got the 4 nominations that they did. That just shows something about how good they are. The nominations to them had to be a great honor in itself. They really did get cheated out of at least a couple of awards. Especially the album of the year. I email and vote for them on TRL as often as I can and I am 34 years old. And anyone who has anything to say about that go ahead. I am the mother of 3 kids who got me liking the BSB. I feel like they do have a lot of older fans also, I guess they are just too embarrassed to admit it, but not me. I enjoy them because they have awesome voices, ALL OF THEM. They have an excellent performance at their concerts (I saw them just last week in Charlotte, NC. (by the way if anyone has any pictures they could email me or send to me please get in contact with me, we were too far away for our camera to take any good pictures.) And they seem like really down to earth good men. Notice I didn't say boys. Even though that is their name. They had to be honored to sing with Elton John, but I don't believe that he would have asked them if he didn't believe they had a lot of talent. Not to improve their image. I mean no offence to any of you kids at all, because I have three of my own that are as crazy as the rest of you are about the BSB, but I wish more adults would pay attention to their songs and realize how good they really are. Remember if you have any pictures you could send me please email me at jcahaga@tcia.net. Thanks!

Who are the weirdos cluttering up our BSB site? I know these people are weirdos because to say that the Backstreet Boys don't have good voices is so UNTRUE as to be ridiculous. That's what makes the BSB stand out among the run of the mill performers today: they can REALLY SING. Together they are unbeatable, and separately they have great voices. Why do people want to trash these wonderful guys? It's a mystery to me. And I wish the cursing, profanity using, immature people who are writing in would get lost. Thanks. By the way, it's easy to spot a pre-teen who refers to "his wife." Come on. No married MAN talks like KA does. He's a complete idiot, and I bet he's no older than 10.

I think "KA" is a ten-year-old boy. (With no taste, might I add.) ALL of the BSB have great voices--that's what makes them special. Nick's voice is great: young, emotional. Brian's voice is so pure it's a gift from God. Kevin has a rich and deep and sexy voice. AJ is unique: his voice is wonderful. And Howie has a high, jazzy voice which I love. Think of "Darling. Tell me what to do to make you mine." Wow! I wish only real fans would use this forum. Those of us who love the BSB can't stand to see them maligned by very unmusical, ignorant people.

KA,Seems like no one likes or chooses to believe of what you say! I think they are right. You have no right judging the Backstreet Boys. You said Monie had her OPINION on bsb, and your doing the exact same thing. You have no proof that bsb isn't going to last a long time...your generation had different music then ours. bsb has been around for so many years, and their music has matured. Don't believe me listen to their first CD and then listen to Millenium. See how different it is? So how much better and more mature they sounded in the last one? Maybe they do have a lot of that lov format, but who cares? I sure don't, and I believe that most of the true bsb fans don't mind that either. That is their trait! They are known for that sort of music. If you don't like it then don't listen to it. Now I have another comment to make. I know I don't know you, but be the comments you've written, I know enough. What kind of bsb fan are you? Your not a true bsb fan! Your wife is! There is a differencce! A big one! You are not a true bsb fan when you can't respect them, and don't say you do respect them cause yo just wrote a bunch of crap about them! Your wife is a bsb fan, and you may be trying to be one, but your not! And yes that is my opinion, but you can always tell a true bsb fan by what they write about bsb! Now onto the Elton John issue. Yes, bsb was lucky to preform with him, and yes it might have been to improve their immage...but did you hear what Elton John said afterwords? He said people sound RESPECT their music, cause they are talented, and they ALL have great voices, that will take them far! He said people sounded diss them because they are talented! And you know what KA, that is a FACT!!!!! Alright, now onto the last issue...the Nick being the only talented vooice in the band! That is a load of BS!!!!!! Maybe he is the one that sings the most, or has the most solos...but that makes his voice any better? I don't think so. Tell me about Kevin. He barley sings at all, at least not that we can hear. He must really sux then, eh KA? Yeah, right. He has a sexy voice that a lot of people like. Maybe you don't, but you don't respect bsb either. Brian has an angelic voice, that God must seriously have given him! It's beautiful. AJ has a voice that can change just to fit the proper parts of the song...his voice is awsome. Howie, well he can hit all those high notes, that makes everyoen quiver, in a good way. Nick, his voice is just like everyone's. His voice fits HIS part of the music, as do all the other guys voices. So next time don't say anything about one bsb guy being better than the others! Thanx, that's all I have to say. And if KA, or anyone else has a problem with what I just wrote, then write me...my email address is fan1bsb@hotmail.com -Lesia

I have to say that the BSB were robbed of two Grammy's this year, and it makes me sad that they didn't get recognized. The BSB should have won the Best pop vocal performance award for IWITW, because it IS a great song, and i'm sorry but Santana had really nothing to do being in that category! "Maria Maria" is a great song, but it's nowhere near being pop! it's hip-hop, R'n'B, everything BUT pop! of course the grammy's HAD to find a way to include him in there, so that BSB wouldn't win! the best pop album: where did Sting come from??? don't get me wrong, i like him, but his album was not even heard of, and suddenly, he was in the competition! Again, the Grammy's HAD to find somebody, anybody, so that the BSB wouldn't win again! What kind of discrimination is that, against them and their fans? Not only them were robbed of a Grammy, but also artists like Macy Gray, though Christina Aguilera is cool, Mary J.Blige, and many others... This year, the Grammy's were not good at all! Nevertheless, the BSB delivered two great performances, one accapella, and the other with Elton John! Still, some critics find ways to bash them...Why is it so hard for them to get recognized??? Why??? I'm past being a teenybopper, and i think that BSB deserves recognition and acknowledge for their hard work! A Grammy wouldn't have been bad...KA: Well, i have to say that you gave a real good explanation, and i'm tempted to believe what you said. But there is something i have to point out to you! The bsb are past the "i love you, why don't you love me" stage, musically, and SMTM is a great example! This song is very emotional, and so is the video! we didn't create the meaning of it, it was explained by the guys themselves, so everything we see in it, is what they meant to show, nothing more....It's closely related to their story, so please, get your facts straight before bashing the video and us.

I was just reading some of the posts on here talking smack about the Boys, and that is ignorant and unfair. Those Boys are probably the best singers the music industry has seen in the last ten years if not longer. Actually, the negative posts aren't really worth a response, but they do annoy me.... fools piss me off. I know of a quote that is something along the lines of "it is not the critic who matters, he who analyzes and then tears apart every little thing someone else does, but the one IN THE ARENA, doing the work, who matters. no matter how many mistakes he makes, or how many times he is criticized for it, he is the one who gains the most and learns the most and continues to get better." that's a great quote, that's very true. as for the guy who came on here and wrote several negative posts full of dictionarial words meant to pass off as intelligence to the younger fans and intimidate them, to my way of thinking an intelligent adult wouldn't visit the webpage of a group they disrespect just to upset young fans. while you are sitting on your ass dissing those Boys, they're out there working hard and making their dreams come true. I feel that people should be able to do what they're dreams are, and go your own way, no matter what it is, go for it and work hard- just don't spend your life complaining about what someone else is doing. I'm a big fan of the BSB, and if they weren't good I wouldn't be. trust me, I'm verrrry sensitive to bad music, LOL! I've been a musician since I was 2, fulltime had to practice all the time, all genres, and now I'm 18 and starting to do it as a career. Let me just say that the Backstreet Boys are formiddable talents and they're here to stay. Laugh your way all the way to the bank, Boys! :-)

KA,Just pure curiosity: what is it about Nick's voice/style that makes you write that he is the only one whose singing talent could stand on its own? -M

Okay, am I the only one who hated the grammys? I loved the Boys performances, but Santana did not deserve 9 grammys, he really didn't. Maybe two or three, but not 9. I think that Millennium has sold like 20 million more cd's than supernatural. Frankly Smooth is really getting on my nerves. I hate that song. Why does Santana get the awards when Rob Thomas'voice made it famous? Oh well. I think the people who chose the winners are all a bunch of older people who think BSB is a "boyband" and do not take them seriously. That is probably why they picked Santana. Christina
