What do you think about the outcome of the 2000 Grammy Awards?

And he even said that he would have liked to see BSB win an award. It wasn't his fault. The guy is a legend- he's old, he'll be gone soon. The Backstreet Boys are young, and they have lots of time to shine and win Grammies. Chill out. I would have liked to see them win as well, but I think that their wonderful performances made up for their losses. They proved themselves in front of that audience. Not once, but twice. I think that the Grammy 2000 show is the best award show I´ve seen so far. I´m totally serious. It was so nice to see the boys performed with Sir Elton John. Kevin looked like a happy kid when he was standing next to Elton´s piano. It´s not strange tough becuase Sir Elton John is Kevin´s role model. Not strange that Kevin was happy. It must have been a huge eperiecne for him and the rest of the fellas. Carlos Santana....he should at least saved one award for the BSB. BSB could at least get the award for Best album of the year ´cause they´ve worked so hard for it. But that´s life. I loved the BSB performing with the song I´ll make love to you (by Boys 2 Men) That song is so sweet and the guys sang that song so well. It was a beautiful harmony. And they did it so good with the song Show me the meaning of being lonely. Cause then we could hear the guys sing a little part by them self. I'm happy that Santana won some Grammies, but come on. The BsB were one of the biggest groups, not to mention the biggest money-makers, of 1999. Sting should have never won the Grammy for the best pop album. Millennium was the highest selling album of 1999, how could you deny the boys of that Grammy. I feel that the people involved in the voting and selection of the Grammy Awards pushed the boys out each category they were nominated for just because of their "boy band" image. They never gave them a chance. I'm sure the Backstreet Boys were dissappointed and discouraged, this is including their fans. ATTENTION ALL BACKSTREET BOY FANS. When it comes time for BSB's next album, I pray to god that ppl aren't planning to buy 2 copies or whatever just so the boys can beat the record. That's tacky and petty and pathetic and my opinion, but I thought I'd say it anyway. Doing that proves nothing. Albums are recorded so that people can buy and enjoy the music. Not so that artists can play games and compete with eachother and see who can set the highest record. So please think twice about doing that or about buying Millennium again on Tuesday. BSB are out there to do their thing, not to compete with anyone else. It's something that they stand for. We as their fans should remember this.
