ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS THAT THAT WAS CRAPP!!! REALLY, THEY DIDN'T EVEN WIN A THING!! WHAT?..........WAIT A MINUTE..........THEY ARE THE BEST POP GROUP THERE IS TODAY WHY DIDN'T THEY GET AN AWARD ? THEY WORKED SO HARD FOR IT AND NEVER GOT ANYTHING????!!!! IT MAKES ME SO MAD TO SEE THAT.I THOUGHT FOR SURE THEY WOULD GET SOMETHING!!!!OH WELL THEY DON'T NEED AN AWARD TO SHOW THEM HOW GREAT THEY ARE ANYWAY!! WE KNOW IN OUR HEARTS THEY ARE THE BEST!!
I THOUGHT NICK LOOKED REALLY GOOD, I THOUGHT THATS THE BEST I EVER SAW HIM IN THE PAST YEAR. After the Grammys were over I was totally pissed!! BSB deserved those awards!! Santana won for pop categories and he is not even pop!! Neither is Sting!!I think they deserved those awards!! You know why they did not win? Cause they have a bunch of old people choosing who wins! We should have part of the vote on who wins!!
As for the rest of the show BSB rocked!! They looked s---------------o BLAZIN(especially Nick) and they will win next year!KTBSPA!!

I want to say is Congratulations to all the winners to especially Christina and Carlos Santana. I think he deserved it all! One thing that made me really upset that the boys lost to Sting for best pop album! They were so robbed with that award!! I don't think that he sould't have won cause the boys had a great album and it was the best selling of '99! I don't know why the academy members chose it but I'm guessing they are trying to prove a "mature" age group. I don't know but I don't think it was right to loose to Sting for best pop album.

Hi!I'm disapointed that BSB didn't win a grammmy, they deserved at least one!
I remember reading a BSB interview that Kevin (my man) would like to win a Grammy some day.
I feel sorry for BSB.
But BSB doesn't need a grammy to prove that they are number 1, now and forever!
Their performance was okay, but it wasn't all that. They should've sang "Larger than Life."
I liked the song they sang with Elton John.
They still looked fine though!

First of all I'd like to tell that loser, who posted that digusting message calling the Backstreet Boys gay and calling the fans whores, to go to hell and to get a freakin' life!!! He and many other males need to shut the hell up and get it through their thick skulls that the Backstreet Boys are not gay. Hello you retards they are STRAIGHT! Maybe the big words can help, but I seriously doubt it. You know what gay means, or not, but if you do, use the word correctly. You should apologize to all the BSB fans for being such IDIOTIC BASTARDS!!! Anyway I think it sucks so much that the Backstreet Boys went home emty handed 'cause they deserve to win more than anyone they were up against. For 8 years they worked extremely hard and still the judges can't see that these 5 young men are talented, it's as if they refused to give BSB an award. The Backstreet Boys should have won, Millenium was so successful and "I Want It That Way'' was also successful on the charts.Carlos Santana had his chance long time ago, so it's not fair that he won a bunch of awards now. The Backstreet Boys should've won!!!

I HATE SANTANA! HE WINS ALL OF THESE GRAMMYS FOR PLAYING A STUPID GUITAR. I WISH I COULD PLAY MY TRUMPET IN A SONG AND WIN ALL THOSE GRAMMYS. THE SICKEST PART IS THE GUYS WHO WROTE THE SONG AND SING THE SONG AND PLAY IN THE REST OF THE BAND (ROB THOMAS, MATCHBOX 20, AND THE WRITERS) DON'T GET ANY CREDIT. I HATE THIS GUY. I THINK HE SUCKS. Hello, I don't think that SANTANA should have wonall those awards!!! The song with rob thomas was nice but not that good he also won on for maria maria that just came out. Lauryn hill won like 7 awards last year, but where is she this year! Why do they waste all those awards on just one person! Santana only supplies the music he doesn't write them he doesn't even sing!!! I'm sorry, i don't think he should have won for best pop duo or group!!
Sorry one should have been just enough for him in my opinon.

I really was very disappointed the BSB didn't win any Grammys! I felt they really were snubbed by the Grammy committee big time! Their performance was awesome and it still gives me chills to watch the tape! They continue to prove every day just how very talented they are and I'm excited for their future in music. They are only just beginning and have so much more to offer!! It will only get better and better for them as time goes on! And one day in the near future they WILL walk away with those Grammys and show their critics a thing or two!!
I'm looking forward to all the new and exciting music, concerts and shows that BSB will give to their fans. They truly are the best and give us all so much!
As fans we owe it back to them to continue to show our love, loyalty and respect in all they do!!

First I have to say THANK YOU!!! to Nick Ky Gal!!!! I totally agree with everything you said about Brian's engagement. While I am happy for both him and Kevin I can't stand Leigh Anne. Brian was better off with Samantha Stonebraker. So with that said, on with my opinion on the Grammy's (this may take a while because I very bitter right now!)OK, I have already posted something on here but I have more to say now. I have to agree with so many of the people leaving messages in here. I am royally ripped. Last year the Grammy’s weren’t all that good because Lauren Hill took them all. And that sucks because I don’t really like Lauren Hill’s music. Plus, I absolutely can’t stand it when just ONE artist sweeps an award show. They make it seem like they were the only artists that actually accomplished something that year, which is so unfair. This year I was hoping the Grammy’s were gonna be better. But it was the SAME thing. Santana won EVERY award possible. And BSB got the shaft AGAIN.
Four frigging nomination (actually 5) and BSB didn’t get one award!!! Santana didn’t deserve ALL 9 of those Grammy’s. Granted, he did deserve some of them, like maybe for Best Rock Album or something, but not all 9. I just happen to think that Santana ISN’T as great as everyone else thinks. He’s not a music God or anything. He does play the guitar VERY well, yes. But so do so many other unrecognized artists. And before you say something stupid like, ‘oh you’re just saying that because he beat out you precious BSB’, think twice OK. I’m not a teenybopper and I absolutely resent the fact that just because I like BSB I get considered one. I’m not.
I think that Santana AND all of the artists that sang on the album, like Everlast, Dave Matthews, Wyclef Jean, and Rob Thomas, should have SHARED the Grammys for “Supernatural”. Their voices are what made the album enjoyable. At least for me. Especially Rob Thomas. I was actually glad that he got the award for Song of the Year and not BSB. But I also happen to be sick to DEATH of hearing “Smooth” on the radio. It’s a great song and everything but it’s getting on my nerves. I liked the song the first 500 times I heard, then it got just plain annoying. Even more annoying then “Living La Vida Loca”. And I really don’t think he should have won for Album of the Year. BSB clearly surpassed Santana’s record sales and frankly I think “Millennium” was a hell of a lot better than “Supernatural”. That’s my opinion though, because I’m not a big fan of Santana’s anyway.
Some thing else that pissed me off was that Santana and Sting were nominated in some categories that were SO not fitting. Like Santana being nominated for and winning Pop Performance by a Duo/Group. HELLO?!?! Maria, Maria is anything BUT a pop song, like one of you guys said. It’s more like an R&B song. And Sting being nominated for and winning Best Pop Album. WTF!!! He’s not even pop really. And his album is virtually unheard of. What’s up with that? If BSB should have won any awards it would have been for Pop Album and Pop Performance by a Duo/Group. And they were robbed because someone sucks. Santana and Sting didn’t belong in EITHER of those categories.
And another thing. Some people who are leaving message in here are saying that all of their songs are about love and they have no meaning and none of them even write their own songs. Yeah right. Have they not listened to the album? Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely is one of the most meaningful songs I have heard from a pop group in a long time. That song hits home for a lot of different people in a lot of different situations. Almost everyone can relate to that song in one way or another. And as for the not writing their own songs. HA! They do too. Do the songs The Perfect Fan, Larger than Life, Back To Your Heart, If You Knew What I Knew, and That’s What She Said ring a bell. Brian worte 3 of those songs, Kevin wrote one of them, and AJ wrote one of them. And not only do they write their own music but they also write for other artists as well. Nick and Brian wrote a song for Nick’s 11 year old brother’s album called Ain’t That Cute. And I’ll admit it’s a little cheesy, but hey, an 11 year old is singing it. What do it expect? And Howie also co-wrote a song on Many Moore’s album called I Like It. And I do believe Howie worked with Foxy Brown too. So there, I just proved you wrong!
All in all I think the Grammy’s sucked this year. And not just because BSB didn’t take home an award. Everyone made a big deal about Santana and so many of MY favorite artists didn’t get an award. What happened to Destiny’s Child, Limp Bizkit, Brian McKnight, Tyrese, Brandy, Hole, Goo Goo Dolls, Garbage, and Britney Spears! I’ll tell you what happened Santana took their awards, that’s what happened! Well, he didn’t take all of their awards, but he did take most of them! I think the best thing about the show were that:
~ BSB performed (Twice!)
~ Rosie O’Donnell hosted again this year. How funny is she. I loved it!
~ Erykah Badu and The Roots won Rap Performance by Duo/Group (Because I can’t stand Dr. Dre, Puff Daddy, or Busta Rhymes)
~ Will Smith won Rap Solo Performance (Because we all know he has the most talent out of all the rappers out there today. Like the lyric in his song goes, “Write one verse without a curse!” And we all knew Puffy wasn’t gonna be in that category. I think he is physically incapable of doing a song alone.)
~ Sheryl Crow won Best Female Rock Vocal Performance (Because I love the way she remade “Sweet Child O’ Mine”!)
~ Christina Aguilera won Best New Artist (She deserved it!!! I like Britney Spears but I wanted her to win the Best Female Performance award. And I like Kid Rock but he’s not new. Kid Rock has been around for like 10 years. I don’t enjoy Macy Gray’s voice all too much, and I’ve never heard of the other nominee.)
So there you have it. My take on the Grammys. THEY PRETTY MUCH SUCKED AGAIN!!! They better be better next year (Meaning BSB better take home an award God dammit! LoL!)
