Santana deserved his Grammys...he kicks ass...but maybe he didn't need eight of them...maybe if the BSB's are really nice to him and really suck up, he'll let them borrow a couple of them for awhile...ya know, so they can at least pretend that they won...it might make them feel better...oh well, better luck next time...

Well of corse i was disappointed that the Backstreet Boys didn't win an award at the 2000 Grammy's. But they really did win an award, and they know it. They got the honor to sing with one of the greatest artists out there. You havn't heard Elton John sing with any other group of our era. And the Backstreet Boys defenatly showed N*Sync that night. That is something the boys will probably cherish more then getting an award. As far as Santano winning most of the catagories bsb was under, well i'm happy for him. I was for sure that the boys would win Album of the Year, but owell. I has just happy to see them perform. Nick looked really good. :) To tell you the truth, when they came on the TV, i screamed into the pillow, aspecially when they showed a close up of nick. But anyway, i'm sure the boys will win some awards at the grammy in the future. They won in my hearts.

As much as I love the Backstreet Boys I do think that Santana did deserve to win the awards that he did. The only one that I felt the BSB should have won over Santana was Album of the year. Millennium was by far the boys best CD and it was one of the top selling cd's of 1999 and i feel that they really did deserve the album of the year. Even though they deserved it we all knew that they had virtually no chance of getting it, it was Santana's year and the voter's were obviously going to choose a legend over a new young band. But they were nominated for 5 awards and thats still a big accomplishment, plus they gave a really good performance and who knows this year was Sanatana's year maybe next will be the year of the Backstreet boys.

You know what? As upset as I am that BSB didn't win, I must say that I still think that Santana deserves the recognition he is finally getting. He is amazing on the guitar. I stopped to listen when he performed at the Grammy's. I don't know much about guitar music but I know that what I heard was unique.

The Backstreet Boys' performance went really well. I loved how all the guys looked like they were having a wonderful time singing with Elton John. The only thing I found wrong with the Grammys concerning the Backstreet Boys was the "Album of the Year" award. The Backstreet Boys, to my knowledge, have had record-breaking sales of their sophomore album, "Millenium." Even though Santana did very well, I do not think he had as much success as the Backstret Boys. I think he received that award not based on record sales, but amazement that he made such a comeback after his absence from the music scene. All the other awards I wanted the Backstreet Boys to win, but weren't sure if Santana honestly did better in those categories.

Okay...first off like almost everyone else that has written something, I will agree with you! lol The Backstreet Boys were ripped off at the Grammy's. The Grammy's are chosen by 10,000 voters. Both my mother and I said: Are 9,500 of those voters too old to have aopen-mind for what good music is? I think that our boys deserved AT LEAST one award. Santana has been around for a while and he has worked very hard, but the Backstreet have worked their asses off to get where they are! Who cares if they won the Grammy's(even if they are the most 'important' awards show), in my book... they will always win!

Total rip off. I was mad that Santana came away with 9 or 8 however many he manged to "win." I think it's totally not fair. BSB should have at least one 1 award. They work 10 time's harder then Santana. He just stands up there and play's the freakin' guitar while someone else sings. How the heck can he win 9 awards for that? They should have a 3 grammy policy. Meaning, you cant win more then 3. Give the other HARD WORKING ARTIST THAT DO MORE THEN JUST PLAY THE GUITAR WHILE SOMEONE ESLE'S SINGS a chance to win something. Santana needs to go awwway

First of all, I would like to say (like a true BSB fan) I thought that BSB should have won at least *one* grammy. I am not disappointed, however, that Santana won all the grammys. I am just dissapointed that he would have to use Everlast and Lauryn Hill to get recognition for the Grammys. Oh, yeah, SANTANA DOES SING! He's practically a living legend, and I am disappointed that today's youth are more wrapped up in Rick Martin's artificial Latin music, and have no real knowledge of Latin music.
