What do you think about the outcome of the 2000 Grammy Awards?

I also think that Santana should not have won it, because the only reason his album was popular, was because he had all those famous people on it, and that of course attracted all the fans! I do think that Rob Thomas is very talented too. And I think if Santana was going to win anything, it should be given to Rob Thomas. Rob Thomas wrote the entire song, he deserves credit more than Santana! Now I know I'm not sounding like a huge fan right now, but I really am. Think of how far they have already gone this year! At least they were nominated in tons of categories. I mean they were picked by their peers, people who really know them, c'mon it was unbelievable that they were even nominated. Being nominated is a huge honor! I think it was a pretty good night for BSB, really. They were great in their performance and they are maturing ever so nicely! Plus, Elton John! They performed with Elton John! And then did you hear him backstage"you people slag them off too much" or whatever. All in all, it was a pretty good night, in my opinion. I am very happy for them and I hope all you people are too. The boys have worked so hard this past year, and deserve a grammy. I was personally screaming at my TV and praying it would be BSB for the next catagory. BSB desereved to win at least 1 stinkin' grammy and santana did desereve to win one, but all he stinkin did was play the stinkin guitar in the song "Smooth" for cyin' out loud. if anything Rob Thomas should have won those Grammys for that song. I still can't believe that Sting beat out BSB for best pop album! what the heck is that!? Sting? hello, how many albums did he sell?! not nearly as much as BSB and his stupid single, sucked. so basically Santana hogged all the Grammy's. And Ricky Martin didn't win any and he is absolutely fabulous! It toally sucked this year cuz, BSB, Britney Spears and Ricky Martin definitely ALL desereved to win one. I was mad though that Sanatan won every award. There are some other great artists out there and they deserve a chance too. I really liked the album,but it would have been nothing without collaberations. The award that bothered me the most is best pop album. STING? What's up with that? I might have seen his video reach #10 on the VH1 countdown once! I might have sold like 100 copies. I think the boys were ripped off for that one. The academy needs to stop thinking like the fourty year olds they are and start looking to see what's really out there. Sanatana did not deserve to win album of the year becuase we all know the #1 album of 99' was Millenium in record sales and everything. The only award I agreed with was Best New Artist because Christina Aguilera is great and ten times better than Britney.
