What do you think about the outcome of the 2000 Grammy Awards?

Yeah, I think Santana won too many awards for someone who didn't even write that damn "Smooth" song and who doesn't even sing the song that made his album so popular, and I thought Pop Album of the Year and Song of the Year should have gone to the Boys, at least. But there's always next year, right? And look at all of the really cool acts that wait years and years to ever get recognized by the Grammy's. Awards or not, they are still my favorite and I thought they gave a stellar performance. I must say I nearly went weak in the knees when they did "I'll Make Love To You", my favorite Boyz II Men song ever! All in all, even though the Boys didn't win anything, I was happy - and Nick looked YUMMY! So that was enough for me. They had two wonderful, incredibly classy performances and looked really good, I might add! Plus, having as many nominations as they did was really an accomplishment. It is too bad that they didn't win, especially at least once. But, it is an honor to be nominated and at least now they are finally getting the respect they deserve. He looked like he just came home from a long day's work. What does he think by wearing the glasses that he'll look smarter? Come on Nick..we know better..looked cute though. Kevin had that roll out of bed look again, someone needs to show him a comb. Howie needs to gell back his hair again, it looked kinda rough. Brian looked about the same. AJ once again covered at least one of his eyes. Wonder if he had a bit to much to drink thats the reason he has to do that. Once again, they sounded great. Well, its to bad that they didn't win anything, but come on! Santana is one of the greats. Did you really expect them to win against them? I sure didn't have my hopes up. As if the people behind the whole Grammy thing would give the award to a bunch of (to Santana) new comers, then give it to someone who's been here for the last 20 odd years or so. Santana's Supernatural is a awesome CD. For everyone who said that Santana shouldn't have won those awards, at least go buy the CD and judge it then. The Backstreet Boys should have won at least the Ablum of the Year if not all the awards they were up for. Santana didn't deserve all those awards!! Every song on his cd is a collaboration. That old fart can't even make a good album with his own group with out the help of others. Backstreet Boys sold much more albums than Santana, they can really sing and they're on a sold out tour right now. Why can't the people at the Grammy's see that Backstreet works hard and they deserve to be awarded for it!! They haven't gotten any credit because they have that stupid "let's copy what ever the Backstreet Boys do" group N'STINK. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised because they have a bunch of old people in their 70's to pick the winners. At least Backstreet got to perform-twice. They were outstanding!! I can't believe BSB didn't win! They did the best presentation of all the night, I have it recorded and I watch it 5 times a day! The only reason he acctually won is 'cause he had aritists like Rob Thomas singing. he did like nothing on the album. He only produced a couple songs along with like 50 other producers. Meanwhile BSB produced, wrote, sang and some of 'em even played instruments. They defenitly should have won album and single of the year. I also thought it was kinda weird how no "pop" groups or artists really won ecept tlc and chrsitina aguliera. Who the heck voted????? "Millennium" was the top selling album of 1999, followed by Britney Spears. Neither one of them won an award, that seems fixed to me. Oh, and Ricky Martin, wasn't his "Livin' La Vida Loca" hot, even though it got annoying at times. I'm just wondering how stupid Santana won EIGHT (yes, eight) after 30 years of not hearing from him. Rob Thomas, and all the other people off of Santana's "Supernatural" is what made the album win, he couldn't do it himself, especially with his stupid guitar he "idols". Well, anyway, BSB got ripped the most. They even said themselves that they would like to win at least one Grammy, did they, NO! I think that someone needs to get a life, and learn their music, and how is good, and how isn't. I thought that though, the Boys did an AWESOME job singing (as usual)I loved when they sang Boyz II Men. That was cool. I can't stand elton John, and this is probably the BEST I've seen Elton John, ever!
