What do you think about the outcome of the 2000 Grammy Awards?

They were so wondurfully dressed and sounded so hot! They also did so good with Elton John and when they did Boyz II Men it was soo great. They should have won at least one of the awards but thats ok because we all know that they deserved it over Sting and Santana. I just wanted to say I think the Backstreet Boys had one of their best performances ever and Elton John apparently thought so too!!! I think it sux that they didn't win any Grammy's but you gotta give props to Santana. One thing I gotta say is-Where the heck did Sting come from. I think BSB deserved Pop Album of the year for sure and the deserved album of the year. I mean Santana's album is ok but BSB will always be the best. KTBSBPA!!! But seriously, I thought this was going to be the Boys' year. In my personal opinion, they definently deserved Album of the Year. I mean, come on, they broke records with Millenium. They should've gotten something. Santana's a great guitar player and all. But I think that most of those Grammys should've gone straight to Rob Thomas and not Santana. But that doesn't mean I believe Carlos Santana is the reason for them not getting any. Santana has been around for many, many years...he is a great artist and he would not have won all those Grammy's if he was not worthy of winning them. Anyway, the BSB did a great job otherwise at the Grammy's (performing). You guys should just be happy that they were nominated for FIVE when last year they had ZERO nominations. By the way, about "best new artist" I couldnt be more happier with the winner...Christina Augilera. That girl deserved it more than anyone of the other new nominees...such as Britney Spears. There's a BIG difference why Christina won, and Britney did not; Christina sings. Britney, on the other hand, lip synchs. Though I am not surprised that they didn't win because other musicians vote and they do not like BSB. Santana desearved to win some awards but definetly did not desearve to tie the record for the most Grammy's (Micheal Jackson had 8 also). "I want it that way" was the song of the year. Even friends who don't like them tell me that they should have won something. The local radio station which hates BSB says that they were robbed. But that is the way it is and if BSB want it bad enough they can work hard and in a few years or so (Hopefully they will still be around)they will earn respect from other musicians. I think this upsets me mostly because they have way more hits than santana does. He has 2 and only one was nominated. His album is not the best, it didnt sell the most albums.... Bsb Did though they deserved that award. Santana I believe just won because he is making a come back. Its true he never was big when he started off but then since he disappeared n then came back while latin pop is big hes like HUGE. The BSB should have at least won best album and best pop album!!! It is totally not fair that Santana won all those awards when he doesn't even sing! And another thing, where did sting all of a sudden come from??? NO WAY should he have won for best pop album, not in a million years!
