What do you think about the outcome of the 2000 Grammy Awards?

So they didn't win a Grammy, it's not the end of the world! I'm a big fan, I've been to a concert, I spent a whole lot of money at it. But I'm not nearly as upset as some of you. Why? Because I know from my father, who is a huge music fan and has watched the Grammy's many years that they don't allways show the feeling of the regular community outside, they allways pick a favorite, this year it was Santana, and so Backstreet got short changed. So they deserved to win! A bunch of whining isn't going to change things! I really wanted them to win at least one, but life will go on, not winning a Grammy isn't the end of their carrers, I mean, they got props from a legend, Elton John. They did work their butts off, and they do deserve the recognition, but hey, it's still not the end of the world! BSB deserved 'Album of the Year.' They have had more hits and a hell of a lot more album sales than him! And Sting for best pop album!?! Is Sting even pop? Why is it they always clean up every other award shows but this one? If you notice, every year the Grammys ALWAYS pick a favorite, last year it was Lauryn Hill, this year Santana, who's gonna be next year? Nsync? The records it broke, and how everyone talked about it and it topped the charts for so long and didn't even come out of it all with a Grammy? That just plain sucks. I think Millennium really deserved the award, after all would it have killed Santana to get 7 awards instead of 8 and give one to our boys?? I thought thier performances were great too, but what I did not agree with was thier little interview with MTV saying how *Nsync copied them. I am a fan of both groups(yes it's allowed) and I have seen both shows numerous times and own Cd's by both. I don't see how they think that they are being copied. I mean if you were a true fan you would know that they were not "PUT TOGETHER" by Pearlman, they just happened to stumble across him for management. So what if they are on the same record label??!!! I would buy the Cd regardless. It really looks bad on the Bsb when they diss other groups like this. I mean I never hear a negative comment come from Nsync, LFO, 98 about the other groups. Why does bsb think they are so much better than everyone else. And I hate to tell you, but they were not the 1st or even 2nd boyband around.They didn't invent the idea! Also, I think that it's a bit hypocritical for them to get mad at Nsync for using an idea that they were going to steal from Garth Brooks. it wasn't THIER idea!! I just think they need to stop being so cocky before the "ride" is over. Don't get me wrong i love the bsb, but i don't like these attitudes! And he only has 2 songs out now. All he does is play the guitar! He should have been nominated for best musical instrument or whatever! I mean gosh! So what if he made a comeback! Did he really deserve to win all those awards? BSB really deserved to win! They have worked so hard! But oh well. They had a great performance and I'm glad that Sir Elton John decided to work with them. Maybe now more people will realize what us BSB fans have known all along, that they are truly talented.
