What do you think about the outcome of the 2000 Grammy Awards?

I was proud that they had as many nominations as they had. They may not have won BUT they proved themselves on stage that night and it wasn't like there were a bunch of teenagers singing along with them, it was people who are in the music industry singing along with them. Santana's winning was earned in a way. More congrats should have gone to either Clive Davis or the people who had written the songs and sang them other thank just one guy playing the guitar, I I congradulate him. Next year I think the boys will have many more nominations and someday they will be in same same postion that Santana was. Backstreet busted their tales,and it sickened me to see Santana steal Backstreet's hard earned awards. Don't get me wrong.I love Santana's music,and he's waited along time for this.But, 1999 was the year of the Backstreet Boys,and pop music in general. Santana is a respected musician, singer ,and songwriter, and he too has worked very hard to get where he is. Don't get me wrong, Backstreet is talented and all too, but in this case they just got beat by an older master. Also, have many of you people stopped to think that the Grammy awards givers don't like giving awards to younger people? BsB have not yet reached the artistic levels of Santana, something which will come with time. And stop acting like Snatana personally did something wrong to BsB.
