Alright, Santana may be old or whatever, but come on did the boys really deserve to be totally shut out? I mean i think the Grammies refuses to recognize that this "boy band" has talent. They have come a long way, completely evolved the ideas of boy bands forever. They are trend setters and just because they don't have a "respectable" name like Madonna, Sting, or SANTANA..they get no recognitionand no respect. It's ridiculous, they deserve it..so much!! I can't even express how upset i was, maybe next year they Grammies should drop the titles and look at the real artists....

Some people are saying ßSß have won the TRL Grammy's but....so what? Those Grammy's are just phonies! I really think they should have won the real Grammy's! We all know they deserved it! The judges suck....and so does Stanktana!

It's been almost a week and people are still talking about this. Well, here is my opinion: Santana sucks! All he does is play the guitar. A lot of people put down the Backstreet Boys because they say they can't write their own music. That's not true. But even if it was, so what? At least they can sing their own songs, which is more than you can say for Santana! He did not deserve all those grammies! I mean at least the guys could have lost to someone good, instead of someone bad. And losing Best Pop Album to Sting; that was even worse. I mean, at least the Santana album is popular. (It's sold 8 million, 3 million less than BSB of course) But that Sting album hasn't even gone gold. "Millennium" went gold in one day!! And to the people reading this right now thinking:"She's just another silly little 12 year old teenybopper." Well, you are wrong. I'm 16 and that disqualifies me as a teenybopper. In fact I like a lot of the classic artists like Michael Jackson, Madonna, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Beatles, and the list goes on. But the difference between those people and Santana is that they all have talent and Santana doesn't. Well, anyway I thought their performances were great! And I think it took a lot of guts for them to do what they did. To get up there knowing they were losing every award and to sing in front of an audience where over half the people wanted them them to lose every award. Well, even if old fuddy duddy grammy voters can't recognize their talent, at least Elton John does. And my mom claims that she hears "Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely" on the radio even more now after the grammies. Even my mass media teacher (who thought Santana had the best performance) said, "I thought they did a good job actually. They get my grade above 'NSync, I can tell you that."Alright that's the end of my long message. Feel free to email to talk about what I said or just BSB in general.

I'm upset. They should have won their 4 and gotten SONG OF THE YEAR!! Its only fair. But they won the TRL grammys and that means alot more. Thats the fans saying who should win. We all know who should have won them!!

okay... you guys... calm down. like i said before, it doesnt take an award to be good. the bsb don't need an award to prove themselves... all they need is their voices.

so have some respect for the other artists cuz we dont want people to think bsb fans are rude and sore losers. its just an award... it doesnt validate an artists, so get over it.

Everyone who are blaming Santana for the losses, I don't think it's Santana that's the issue. It is the Grammys, period. Yesterday I was still numb with anger that Santana beat the BSB for album of the year, but I realized that I was actually mad at the Grammys' panel. I'm angry that those forty-somethings totally ignored the Backstreet Boys, even though their music is beautiful and they were the best selling artists of 1999.

But now that it's over, I bet that the Boys would work harder to create an even better album this year. And if us fans are still as supportive, the Grammys can't afford to ignore a group with 3 diamond albums under their belt.

I think that Backstreet Boys really deserved to win, instead of that Santana crap. They can really sing and are very talented, when all that Santana can do is play the crappy guitar! He probably can't even sing! YO GRAMMY PEOPLE!? WHAT WERE YOU BRAINDEAD CRAPHEADS THINKING!? NEXT TIME, THINK SMART! BACKSTREET BOYS RULE AND SANTANA AND ALL THE OTHERS DROOL!
