Okay...some people REALLY need to calm down! It's not the end of the world. I didn't really think they were going to win anything, even if they deserved it, because the critics and music business don't have a lot of respect for the Boys and are quick to judge them.

And for that reason...I think we should all be happy that they were even nominated so many times! And it's not like they were nominated for unimportant categories...they were up for the big ones! To have Millennium up there as one of the five best albums of the year is a big accomplishment, even if they weren't picked for the Grammy.

And besides (knock on wood), there's always next year!

I think that Santana really did well on his song and really deserved the grammies. But I think BSB could have at least won one grammy. They did really well.

Hi People!

Firstly,YES,Im very much surprised that BSB went home empty-handed.Millennium was such a fantastic album.

Ok so,it didnt win the Album of the Yr.Why?Bcoz Supernatural was a HOT contender.Millennium was one of the

biggest selling album of 1999 compared to Supernatural. It was expected that I Want It That Way could not stop Smooth

from taking away Song of the Yr & Record of the Yr.However,BSB could have at least walk away with Best Pop Album

and yet Brand New Day stole it!I mean, the voters are either deaf or they did not want to prove that pop idols are better

than veterans!Think of it,if BSB emerged as the big winner of that night,Im sure people would definitely talk bout it.They

could be saying,"Santana was fantastic, whoever listen to teenyboppers!"Not every veterans are better than pop idols!

Last yr,Lauryn Hill STOLE Best New Artiste from BSB.The guys could have won it.This yr,BSB could have bring home

Album of the Yr,Santana beat them to it!IT'S NOT FAIR!People cant just put teen sensations aside.Mind you, they have

TALENTS,trust me!So I hope,no I want,BSB to bring home at least ONE award next yr.It's about time they get recognition.

1999,they lost Best New Artiste.2000,lost all 4 nominations to some old folk(no offence!).2001,they're gonna be one of

the winners in next yr 2001!BELIEVE ME!

~*~YAY for SANTANA~*~I just read on the newsbits that when asked who he thought should have won a Grammy, Santana replied: "I think that the Backstreet Boys should've taken home an award, they are a great group of guys, and I think it's great what they do."

And here's Elton John's comments about BSB

"It was also great to have the Backstreet Boys appear on stage with me because I have gotten to know them all a little bit just recently, and not only are they great performers, but they also very hard working professionals and really nice guys."

"Yea, they make videos but those boys can sing their asses off. You heard them tonight. They're brilliant. Everyone slags them off. Those boys can sing. They have my ultimate respect. They are great. Some of the other ones, I don't now about but those boys are f---ing great."

So that's what these greats think of BSB. Comments like these, that come from artists who are ALL about the music really says a lot. This convinces me even more that our boys got shafted at this years Grammy's. Forget the Grammy's, man. It's a sad, sad world we live in when the Grammy's are no longer about the talent and quality music. It's all about image and politics.

Just because a group is a pop group, the industry "slags" them off. Hey, it's about the talent. Pop music may be pop music but it's still music. No one has the right to say that it's not real music. So I'll say it again -damm it- pop music is still music and talent is still talent no matter WHAT genre it's in.

Ok, our boys got ripped off. That sucks for the industry to leave them out in the cold like that. But no matter what, they will always have the love of their fans!!! Brians smile at the opening of their Grammy performance is CONTAGIOUS. We love you guys!!!!!

Ok the Grammys are NOT... are NOT... voted by viewers. There are certain people picked out to choose who should take home a Grammy. If they were chosen by the fans BsB would've took over all the categories they were nominated in. In my opinion, I think that the BsB should have won in the category best pop album. But Santana DID deserve all those awards. He's VERY talented and he definitely can rock the house with the guitar playing.

I thought that Santana took too many grammys. He only has one really really popular song on his album (Smooth). The Backstreet Boys have 3 released songs from thier new album.

I felt really bad for BSB when they didn't win anything. They totally deserved every grammy they were nominated for.

Well even though a lot of people expected BSB to win at least one award and they didnt overall they were still awesome. They performed great,I think because they sang clips from some of the greatest songs ever.

I thought that the Backstreet Boys should have won the Best Song and Best Album awards at the Grammys. IWITW was much more popular than "Smooth", and Millenium sold more copys then "Supernatural". Not only that, the BSB worked their butts off last year, and they deserved credit for it. It isn't fair that Santana put out one single and he gets nine Grammys and ppl like Britney, TLC, and Backstreet Boys put out singles, tour, and work their butts off and they get nothing!
