In my opinion, the bsb should defintely have taken home best pop album, best group performance, song, and record of the year but Santana's album was great. We all get so mad when people dont give the bsb the credit they desrve, we hat it when critics say they arent legitimate artists, well that is what happend to santana for so long and now hes finally gotten his well deserved respect! It will happen to the boys too, because they are real vocal group and sooner or later, everybody will know it. As far as perfomances, the bsb definitely had the best one. Their medley was a tribute to the grammy winning bands they look up to but at the same time by singing smtmobl, thay inscribed their place in musics history of talented artists. Whoever said they can't sing now thinks differnetly after their performance. It was the least elaborate as far as the stage but the most impressive. Good job boys, another thing for all you fans who are trippin about the boys being number 2 on trl, dont worry, its all because of nsyncs new album.30 years later, the boys will still be here singing and wowing everybody because they are the real deal.

I am upset the boys didn't win. To me, Santana doesn't deserve ALL of the awards he got. BSB's tour and cd sold and were great! Santana got a pop music award but Santana isn't a pop artist! Santana made a comeback SO WHAT?!?!?!?!?! BSB needs to be respected! They deserve much more than what they are getting. They have worked hard to get where they are and they deserve more respect than they are getting! I was annoyed that the Grammy voters couldn't look past the "Boy Band" label that has been slapped on them and look at who they really are and see what hard working, talented people they are. BSB to me, is no longer a pop group, they have changed or graduated into full blown R&B artists. R&B artists get respect so why doesn't BSB? I am angry and wish that I could give the Grammy voters a piece of my mind. ~Beth~ KTBSPA!!!!!

The Boys' performances were definitely the high points of the evening - they are truly a class act and they really showed their talents by singing acapella. I was really disappointed that they didn't win because I felt that they deserved an award. I'm not going to dog Santana for his win - what's the point? Check the News Bits section on this site and you'll see that Carlos Santana himself said that the BSB deserved to win an award. Not bad. Plus, the fellas have Elton John in their corner - 2000 is going to be their year - mark my words.

UGH!that stupid Santana has been around TOO long and needs to leave the awards to the people who deserve it like BACKSTREET!i mean come on!he doesnt even sing on his cd!i think its a discrace to the grammys because Backstreet deserved it SOOO much for all the hard work and stress they had to put up wioth this year!i mean its bad enough havin NSUCK around copying every move they make!

I think Santana's great and all, but I don't think they should have took home album of the year. I mean BSB went diamond in the world and the U.S. for Millennnium and Santana only sold 8 million copies. Shouldn't the album win with the most copies sold? I think so. It even says in the small print after the show that all awards are handed out to the artist who sold the most copies. I just think that Santana won all those awards casue he's a legend and came back with a hit album. I think they didn't pick BSB cause they're a boy band! I think they should have won maybe atleas one of their 5 nominations.

I LOVED The Backstreet Boys' performances! They were one of the best performers at the 2000 Grammy's. They sang a nice trio of songs, going from the Bee Gees, Temptations, to Show Me The Meaning. It must have been a dream come true for them to be able to sing with Sir Elton John. I thought that The Boys deserved at least one award, even my dad thought so. Santana was just too greedy, they did not deserve 8 Grammys. The BSB have sold way more albums than Santana, not to metion their triple Platinum Diamond Award for the most albums sold. Even Elton John said that the Grammy's are "Bull ----." They are indeed unfair and all the awards should go to musicians that deserve them like the Backstreet Boys. Santana did deserve a couple of the awards, but so did the BSB. Let's hope with their next album, things will change at the Grammy's.
