What do you think about the outcome of the 2000 Grammy Awards?

I can't believe that Santana won over the Backstreet Boys!!!!! My mom even said that the Boys should of won at LEAST album of the year, but who won?...That's right Supernatural by Santana. Although I am not upset that they didn't win. They were nominated for 5, and to me that is an award in itself. I'm sure that the boys feel the same way. Santana has been around for god knows how many years. He made an amazing comeback this year and I think that he earned and deserved every Grammy he got. "Smooth" and "Maria, Maria" are incredible songs. And he worked with incredible people. (ie. Rob Thomas and Wyclef) So no one shoudl be that upset that the Boys didn't win any. They'll be back, I don't think we have to worry about that! =) As for the performance, (and I am quoting here) "They stole the show". That performance was absolutley amazing. They kicked some major boo-tay. That made up for not winning anything. Working with Elton was one of the best things they could have done. And it showed when they were singing. I've never seen them look more happy and content in all of my Backstreet fandom.Congratulations to all of them. What an honor it must have been, singing with their idol. Hopefully, this showed more people what these 5 guys are all about. I'm just glad I saw their ability early. It left a huge impression on so many people who weren't already fans. Praise came from very unlikely sources, such as from radio DJ's who normally diss them. If they are smart, they will make more of these unplugged, a cappella appearances. That's what will set them apart from the others and will give them the respect, recognition and longevity that they deserve! They made me very proud to be a bsb fan!!! I think selling the most CDs in one day in the music history should the group acquire a Grammy but maybe they will receive many other awards and even a Grammy in the future. With a 60 million dollar contract for 5 more albums I'm pretty sure a Grammy is in their future. Next I'd like to congratulate Carlos Santana for picking up 8 grammy awards and beating out BSB in all their juxtaposed categories. However, in my beliefs, The Backstreet boys broke too many records and sold too many copies of Millennium(Diamond status as of December) to be completely shut out of at least one Grammy award. To me it feels like they worked so hard and accomplished so many personal achievements and got nothing but self/fan gratifaication for it. I know that that's what matters, but the Grammy awards should realize what these Boys do for their fans, friends, and family. they satisfy Billions worldwide and work completely hard and strive for the best for the benefit of their music. It's not fair that they didn't win even 1 award. They are #1 in my heart though, along with the many other served fans in the world. Thank you BSB for being such great role models and idols for people to look up to. Thank you for being my inspiration. If i could give you a grammy award, I would give you 1 million because thats what you deserve for giving me strength to get through life. I mean it was a big step up from last year. Anyway, I read all of the predictions on the Grammys and I thought that BSB had a pretty good chance of winning at least one award. On Grammy night when I was watching the pre-show coverage, everyboby was like "Well, Santana's already 4 for 4" and things like that. That's when I kinda realized that our chances were pretty dim. But that dosen't mean I gave up hope. They were there (Nick looked really fine!), and their performance was amazing. Personally, I think we were robbed but their day will come. Bottom line: BSB dosen't have to win 5 Grammy's to make me proud of them. Now dont get me wrong i love the boys but the music world is a tough place to be!!
