how dare they say that about the backstreet boys!!! i have been love with them for 2 years and i'll always be their fan as long as they make music.

I can understand what the article is saying. but i totally think the bsb are maturing to the audience! and i think that that is what makes them so great! i also dont think they are anything like new kids on the block! the times now are different to then, and things have changed! the bsb rule and there is nothing more to say!!!

I'm going to keep this short, simple, and to-the-point. With that number of fans around the world, it's going to take a while for pop to fade out, not to mention the Backstreet Boys, who have most definitely proven that music is a univeral language.

I think this article might be true.. It is bound to happen one day, sooner or later. We can already almost see it happening to N'Snyc. But the Backstreet Boys might be around longer than we might think they would. When they first came out, people probably thought "Oh, they'll be gone by next year" and so on. But they weren't gone by the next year.. or the next.. or the next.. Now, with their new CD, I think they are getting more fans. I know they weren't my favorite band before Millenium came out, but once I got it, I fell in love with their music. And I've loved it ever since. Who knows how many other people there are like me out there. I guess all I can really say is enjoy their music while it lasts.... And also, hope that they don't refer to a girl as a 'dirty dog' in one of their songs.. :)

It might be true that all the boy bands will become less popular, but I think the BSB has learned from NKOTB and other bands mistakes. They know they have to grow with their audience, and so far they have. Millenium is a much more mature album then Backstreet Boys was, and they gained alot of adult fans that way. They even have a mature fan club! I don't get why people are afraid to admit they like them. They are talented guys, they aren't just cute. And even though I am not a fan of 'N Sync, I can still say they have talent, but their music is more for kids. That is probably because its their first album, also, and maybe their second will be more mature. Maybe the Backstreet Boys won't be around forever, but I definately don't think they will be gone by this summer!

In that article I think that Backstreet Boys' days are FAR from being numbered. The Boys will have fans for many years to come. To me it's up to the Boys if they want to stop in their careers and slack off. But if other so called boy bands come out next year like NSYNC and others then the fans willl have to pick sides on which group is better.

I just read that article and I have to comment on how pathetic it is. Now who exactly said that the girl groups would last and boy bands wouldn't?????? First of all, it's been said MANY MANY MANY times that the Backstreet Boys are NOT a boy band! What part of that is so hard to understand? The Backstreet Boys have the most devoted fans in the world and why would any of us fans all of a sudden decide to not listen to them anymore and then have all the girl groups take over. Didn't anyone realize that it was the girl groups who are becoming nobodies? The Spice Girls are obviously finished with, All Saints are finished with, whatever happened to that girl group Solid Harmonie who even opened for the Backstreet Boys in 98, oh and the girl group Innosense. They are all finished. On the other hand, groups like BSB, nsync, 98 degrees, five, and many many more are growing more popular and more popular. I myself prefer listening and watching guys sing and perform, but of course I do, I'm a girl. Yeah right, like in the future I'm going to change my mind and switch over to listening to Britney Spears, Christina Aguleira, Mandy Moore etc... Not in a million years!!! Its not like I have a problem with them, I mean they are talented and have some good songs but never in a million years can they compare to my all time favorite group the Backstreet Boys. So to whoever wrote that article, go read the definition of a boy band and you may want to apoligize for your mistake.

i really think of all the boy bands out there only two have a chance of surviving, 98 degrees and of course the backstreet boys. both have matured with each album, growing up along with their fans. i think that the bsb will definitely be around for a long time in the new millenium.
