Yeah, I'm a female singer about to record my first song and their predistions about it "Being all about the girls" is just charming, but there's no way we'd ditch our Boys. They sit and write these and we all get mad. They should think about that. Cuz the Boys changed my life and I don't plan on abandoning them anytime soon. With a 5 album contract for $60 MILLION, aparently JIVE doesn't think we will either. So there! Because bands like that do come and go. But for the "girls" like Britney Spears! I truly didn't except Britney to last this long, yet along 2 months! As time goes by and with each new album, the boys continue to grow and mature. Each new album reflects that grow and maturity. If you have ever listened to their very first album, it's really good. Fast forward to 1999.... "Millennium hits.." The Backstreet Boys have topped themselves again.. Millennium is such an amazing album. It shows the Backstreet Boys maturity and growth at a new depth and I can't get enough of it. The Backstreet Boys have grown with their audience and continue to come up with new and creative ideas and concepts. The Backstreet Boys will be around for years and years to come. They have the natural god-given talent that will lead them into the next Milliennium and beyond. It's no accident that the album "Millennium" is the top album of the year. The Backstreet Boys appeal to everyone from kids to adults. They are not some "fake, can't sing group". They sing so amazingly. They truly have the talent and drive to continue in the music business for as long as they wish. I agree with the comment that adults are buying Backstreet Boys CDs, and that is why they will stay around for a long time. Unlike the other boy groups that are compared to them, these guys have a fan base that goes beyond teenyboppers. Mandy Moore hit the nail on the head when she said the difference between BSB and *NSYNC is the type of fans that attend their concerts. With a maturing sound and music that trancends the typical "boy band" label that is put on them, the Backstreet Boys will be around beyond next summer. The sales of Millenium prove that without a doubt. There are people out there who are now fans of the guys who couldn't stand them before. The maturity of the effort we all call Millennium gained them respect in the industry and with the fans. BSB is here to stay! Boys don't wanna listen to what they had on their first album but their second album boys started to like it more and a few i know bought the record so by the next album all sorts of different people will be listening to their record! Then, they will have true success! I know they have success know, but the majority is girls! Besides, NSYNC fans are fizzling down because NSYNC was stupid when they decided to come to Jive and really they helped BSB get more money! BSB rocks! NSYNC are just copiers!
