i think that is merely an opinion of someone who isn't the biggest fan of "boy-groups" the backstreet boys were the biggest selling artists of 1999, what makes people think that they are gonna go away?? they have soo many fans all around the world they wouldn't just stop making music and people wouldn't stop listening to great music!! i personally wouldn't be bothered if nsync left, they are not my fave...but this article has upset me i an always gonna be a backstreet boys fan until the day i die...i guess if that means i am the onlyone buying their music..so be it!!

I don't think that Backstreet Boys will ever stop singing because they are ABSOLUTELY great singers and very very HOT!!! The only group that will probably stop will be Nsync because they are not the best band and they're not sooooo popular like backstreet boys.

It is very true that "teeny-bopper" bands lose their audiences as they mature, and many of BSB's fans will eventually move on to other things and BSB will no longer be the biggest act in the world. That is the nature of growing up. HOWEVER, I think the BSB have certain things working in their favor for true longevity. Most importantly is their talent! All of the BSB have great voices, and at least a couple of them really stand out (AJ and Brian - No offense to the others!) They pick terrific songs to sing, and as they have gotten older, their choices have matured and gotten more sophisticated. In contrast, New Kids sang very bubble-gum music and had very limited talent. I don't equate BSB to those types of bubblegum bands. Their music is much more R&B influenced, which generally does well with adults. Lastly, BSB is actually pretty popular with adults. I am 27 years old and they are my favorite band which I proudly admit to everyone. I actually hated all the teeny-bopper stuff like New Kids, Debbie Gibson, and Tiffany when I was a teenager! I have gotten quite a few of my friends (from their 20's to their 40's) to listen the Boys and they have bought the CD's too. Sure, a lot of moms are taking their girls to the shows, but talk to those mothers. Quite a large number of them are big fans, too. Look at the contemporary (or lite) singles charts. BSB has been on top. Read Rolling Stone and Entertainment Weekly. Both have called the BSB a group with real talent and a pleasure (though a guilty one). They have the makings of a band who can last awhile, and with God's good graces, they will.

I think that the fans will grow with the boys. It doesn't matter how old they are, there will always be a large fan base for them. As current fans we will keep the pride alive by loving them no matter how old they get, and they will always be getting new fans as they produce more albums! Keep up the good work guys!

Well, I don't really have an opinion for this article. I think the Boys are the best and they rule. I think they difinitelly growning and so are the audience, it shown. I think that it just deppens on the fans and if they keep making good music, the fans will grow bigger and they'll be larger than life. For all of you fans out there: " Keep the Backstreet Boys prive alive"

I dont think they're goona go and I'm not just sayin this cuz I love bsb. I mean, if the fans realy love the guys, they'll be around for a while. It all depends on the fans and how the guys handle their money and stuff. Theres no time limit to fame, it all just depends on how well you do and how true ur fans are. KTBSPA & Don't let that article be true cuz I know u all love BSB!!

My opinion on this article is that the Backstreet Boys are not a BOY BAND. They are a very talented individuals who each have a gift of singing. I know that their music will live on for generations and generations to come because the Backstreet Boys vocals...now that's real music! I've loved the Backstreet Boys for almost 5 years now and will continue loving them forever. I have their NEW and both of their OLD albums (I also have the Japanese BSB album), 12 singles, 11 floppy disks FULL of pix and info from the Internet (a very useful source of information!), 14 video tapes FULL of all their music videos and T.V appearances, 1 T-shirt, 2 official sticker books, all 7 of your BSB home videos, over 500 pictures/posters of you and the other BSB boys, 3 official BSB magazines, and 6 BSB necklaces individuals and group! This is how much I truly LOVE and ADORE them! It's time we all learn to accept who the Backstreet Boys really are and have come out to be...successful! I wish them all the best now and forever! Let's KTBSPA all you BSB fans! Peace out...
