this is my second entry and i forgot a couple of things . Maybe the bitter old hag should lay of the backstreet boys for a moment and take a look at your self . her whole career is based on bashing stuff other people thier heart and soul into and she just ripps it into shredds . Oh and she said girls are going to rule is a far strech ,considering some one is bond to realize that mrs.spears is a bimbo who walks around showing off her new boobs and the fact that she can not sing live , she has to lip sync everything. maybe the bitter old hag should get oner the fact that donny osmond never returned any of her fan mail , and lay off the five most talented oh and just fine beyond description guys in the music world.

and all you fan who keep writing that they will not last forever are just adding fuel to people like the seventeen editors fire they will last as long as the fans support them

I don't get it, everyone thinks that the Backstreet Boys and other groups like them won't last. True other groups won't last,

namingly N'sync due to their legal troubles. But Backstreet will eventually survive the so called New Kids on the Block

curse. They have the talent and the business to support them. I can't quite say that they are always going to be on the number one spot

on the BillBoard charts, but I feel they will be around for a long time. There songs are classics and hopefully one day

they will end up in the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame ( that would be cool) and with a greatest hits album( I would buy it in a second). Even if there popularity does fade a little they will always have me

as one of their fans. I just can't wait until there next album comes out next year. It's going to be even better than Millenium.

To Whom it May Concern,

I'm sorry but this article is pathedic. For one thing, pop is no where near dying out, and niether are the Backstreet Boys. Look at them.. They've been around for more then 6 years, and there still up top, and trust me there not going down hill, or infact anywhere but up top, anytime too fast. And to reply to what the editor said of Seventeen magazine is a lie. How in the hell would she know what's going to die out in the summer. She's just the editor.. the FANS will decide what dies out in the summer.. haha.. To us.. The fans.. Her comment (the editor of Seventeen)is nothing but a squeek from a mouse that no one cares about. Were the public, and we'll decide what's popular and what's not.. No one, and I mean NO ONES gonna tell me what I like, and what I don't.

And this is all I have to say about this article. Thank you.

Ok here it goes. If there is one thing I hate it is when people say they know something is true and they know it and everyone

else is wrong aarrrraggggg. They act smug and they act condesending it drives me mad. This arcticleis half true.

Nothing lasts forever. The BSB will get married have families and get old but the music is what will last. When Im down theirMusic

can lift me up. The boys make me smile. Its as simple as that. These critics try and psychoanalyze why we listen to the boys music

oh its there looks, oh its the money the company puts behind them. Cut the crap (sorry) but that is pure BS. I like what I

like , thats the way it is. Im 22 and Im not going to change my mind. If they do dissapear ill be sad, but I'll get over it,

the music will last and the good feelings it invoked and most important the memories will last. When I first heard QPGWMH

I liked it but I was sure they were another NKOTB. Then one day I happened to see them on M.T.V the BSB were

there and they sang acapella. Oh my word. I was blown away. They were so good. I love music and i sing in chours and

like all kinds of music I don't care what label it has rock, funk, hip-hop,pop. I don't care as long as the music is

good and real. One of my favorite bands is the Beatles. They have lasted because their music is, say it with me, is good yes

AHHH. yes. Time will show if their music will stand the test of time. Buttt in the mean time enjoy the wonderful feelings

and memories you create with the Backstreet Boys. That is one of the things that will last. Take away all the critics

and awards the boys win and thats what really matters. KTBSPA

Hi! First of all, i usually dont comment on articles like this because as a fan, i feel it should all be about the music, not how long the BSB are gonna be around. I have been a BSB fan since late 96, and have watched them continually mature and grow. Contrary to what the writers in this article have said, the Boys audiance has grown with them. Im 21 years old and like alot of others, was caught up in the New kids craze. The BSB should not be put in the same catetrgory as the NKs. The backstreet boys have made some difficult decisions in how they are managed and have been through alot in the past year. They arent bubble gum pop or only for teenagers. I have more friends who are adult that like them than who are younger. I realize that i am just rambling but i wanted to voice my opion!! Thanx for listening!

as always,

KTBSPA!!!!! :O)

WoW, first of all I would like to say that I've read many many articles similiar to this one since the Backstreet Boys became popular in the US. I think I speak for most, if not all Backstreet Boys fans when I say that I don't see an end coming to the Backstreet fame and popularity. I mean, maybe they won't always be the #1 band in the land but it would be pretty hard for me to stop being a fan. I think, and I kinda quote from the boys, when I say that as long as they keep doing what they love and just growing with the music industy, then they will always be loved around the world. Many of the groups like "The New Kids On The Block" and "The New Edition" didn't survive musically because the groups just all of a sudden stopped. For what reason, I'm not sure, but I believe that if the Backstreet Boys keep on making music that they will always be loved. Only if they have a handful of fans in the end, that's still a reason to keep on working. And if they do kinda fade out in the end because of the opinions of the social world, they can always think back at what they've accomplished and that they stood out amongst all other music groups at one time. But no, like the boys say, I definitely don't see an end to the Backstreet Boys.

The Backstreet Boys are very talent. They have changed their style of music because they have grown up and matured in the process. They have been around for seven years, almost eight. I really dont think a group that talented can "fizzle out" in a few months. I was very hurt when I read what those "music editors", or whatever they call them selves, said. The Backstreet Boys are not going to die out. They have to many die hard fans. Including me and my friends. They are very talented and very real. They will out last way beyound the "girl movement". Dont get me wrong I think its great that the girls are starting to top the charts. The Backstreet Boys are not going to be pushed out of the spotlight because of them. I know I will be a Backstreet Boy fan for along time to come.

Come on people! Why is everyone getting so worked up over this article? Everyone is entitled to their own opinions! Do you like it when people dis BSB? No.. I didn't think so. Everyone has an opinion, you may like and you may not, but not everyone wants to hear you whine over it! Don't get me wrong I LUV BSB, but just beacuse one person thinks they won't last forever you guys have frickin heart attacks!! Get me right! BSB is great, but don't get so worked up over some elses opinion.

The Backstreet Boys are a group of five incredibly talented men. They've been around for seven years, and I have no doubt that they will be around for at least seven more. Sure, they might stop being featured in "16" and "Bop!", but I don't think anybody will care. Remember Madonna? When she first came around in the eighties, all of the critics referred to her as a "Teen Idol". Sixteen (very successful) years have passed, and now this woman is being hailed as one of the greates women in rock. I'm almost certain the Backstreet Boys are going to go through something very similar.

Okay, my opinion to the artical is that they are trying to get us to be sad. Well, they need to stop because some of us obsessed fans (I'll admit, I'm obsessed) will be BB fans until the day we die...I think that is all I need to say :-)
