Hey there! I am an older fan (42) who buys the BSB CDs and magazines and books and anything that I can get my hands on. I am not ashamed of it, in fact I tell everyone that will listen to me about the guys and how wonderful their sound is...even those who love the "other" boy bands! I proudly wear my BSB necklace everyday to show the world what I think of those guys! :) Anyway I believe they will all stay in music in some capacity. They will change and grow as they have done already with their latest cut. I don't see them slowing down in the least. Howie you rock!!

bsb is NOT new kids on the block for starters and they never will be.nkotb were here and were gone within a couple of years and as we can all see bsb has be successfull for a long time now and the fame is still rising.yes they did have there problems and they with came them so if they were going to have broken up it would have been then but they came through it and they went through it with 150% support from all of their fans.and you would have though that when they announced that they have g/f's their popularity would have dropped but there fans supported them there too.we have been through hard times with our boys but we over came that and are still going strong.bsb will be remembered for years to come and when we have children our children will be complaining that they don't want to listen to there parents music just like we want to listen to bsb and not our parents music.whoever wrote this article doesn't know what the hell she is talking about.and we all know that when we hear KEVIN, HOWIE, BRIAN, A.J.,and NICK 20 years from now we won't forget what an impact they had on our teen years.just remember that no matter what happens the fans will always be there to support our boys.

Can someone tell me how many "kiddie" or "teenybopper" groups sell over a million copies of an album in one week, earn a Grammy nomination, win Billboard's Best Contemporary Adult Album(1998), Artist of The Year, Album of The Year, Albums Artist of The Year, and Best Duo or Group, perform with such respected artists as Shania Twain, Tony Bennett, as well as sing back up for an upcoming Elton John single? Oh, and let's not forget were named the second best Adult Contemporary Artist of the year according to Billboard Magazine. After all those accomplishments, should this group be labeled as such? I think not. Let me get to the point and tell you all why I think BSB are a cut above the rest, should NEVER be considered to be the next NKOTB, and how much their audience is growing with them. First of all, I'm 20 years old by the way. I have seen some of my favorite groups, such as New Edition and New Kids On The Block come and go. But if some of you haven't noticed, the "teen idols" of today, aren't as naive as they were yesterday. They are stronger individuals who are not allowing themselves to be their record company's puppets. They don't overmerchandise as the New Kids did, and they can actually sing and write a song from the heart. I have so much faith in the Backstreet Boys. Two years ago, I saw them on TV for the first time, and I was like "Who are these guys? The New Kids of the 90's?" I ate my words. The guys can sing, dance, write great songs, and have the looks to top it off. And believe me, they didn't sell 1.13 million copies in a week to just people under 16. My mother is 47 years old, and likes the guys as well. BSB fans, no need to fret. These guys will be around a lot longer than critics think. They knocked one of my favorite performers, Madonna, and look......she's still here 16 years later! The guys have a lot more substance to them compared to the groups of the past. I feel that they will still making the great music that they do now, in years to come!

OK, I know I already wrote but I forgot to mention something that's on my mind right now. OK... All the reporters and all the critics say BSB will "fizzle out." But They say it out of pure jealousy. I mean the whole idea of guys swooning of Britney Spears even got me a lil jealous. So they are just expressing their jealousy in words. And well lets put it this way, jealousy gets u know where. So whatever you do follow your heart and don't listen to the critics and reporters that diss "boy bands" such as BSB. Also, I'm not trying to be mean but lets all just get over NSYNC! They have no talent and I belive they already are fizzling out. They do too have devoted fans but they are devoted to their looks they have no musical talent and once they get older (and uglier) they'll realize they were nuts to ever like them. Well anyways, I might not make to much sense right now but just KTBSPA!!

That whole article made me sick. FOr that Sherman lady to say the boys will be gone and forgotten is totally un called for and as many of us know for a fact she is so far from right. The BSB have millions and millions of young-old devoted and loyal fans (me being one of the many) And I know that in my heart I can never forget these amazing guys. And I know that all the other fans feel the same. Yes, some people do change their styles of music and get over their old favorite groups. But can any of us say we truly ever even got over NKOTB? I don't think so. We might have grown out of the music but in our hearts we wanted them to stay. And BSB are the biggest selling act out there now. 7 months isnt going to change that. They'll put out a new CD and that lady will be sorry she ever opened her mouth because with all the BSB fans the Backstreet Pride will Stay alive 4 ever. Now lets prove her wrong and show her what having true fans is all about! Keep the Backstreet Pride ALIVE!!!!

okay, so i read the stupid story of how long "boy bands" are gonna be around and heres what i think! i think that the backstreet boys will stay for a while, yeah, i know they won't be here forever, but there music will! no matter how old there fans are, they will still here some of the backstreets songs no matter if there get down, i want it that way, or whatever! there still gonna be part of music history! besides, backstreet boys have one of the largest fan population! everyone knows them in almost every country! so if the group doesn't stay (which i hope it does!) there fans will! i'm not tryin to say that the other groups( b*witched, lfo, nsync, etc...) will never make it, its just that there fans will and so will there music! so, it doesn't matter if the backstreet boys go away, there will always, always, always, be a new band or group coming from somewhere else! peace!

Okay, here's what I think : from seeing those guys perform for like 4 years, I can say they've definately aged with their audience - hey, I was 13 and I liked Get down - now I'm 17 and I'm more into Back to your heart.. or Don't want you back ; older, more serious songs. So yeah, that's probably a factor. I mean, If they were still singing things like Get Down, forget it!! (I'm sorry, that song was ridiculous). But the guys have aged, so have their most dedicated fans. Sure, some have dropped it, some were added - but they've still got one of the biggest fan base around. Okay, they may not last forever - nothing does - but I believe they'll be around longer than N'Sync. Not only because they're aging with the audience - because their audience is not completely of teen girls. Lots of guys admit to like them, and adults, grandparents just love them too! And sorry, but that's not that case with N'sync. At least I don't believe it is. Not only has the backstreet sound evolved, it brought them older fans, bigger audience - that's all in the group's longevity interests... Okay, so maybe the succes they have now will die out a little in the next years - but not completely, 'coz they have a strong fan base, made of completely dedicated fans like me, who are not just going through a teeny bopper phase - fans that love them for who they are and for the music they do, not just because they're *cute as hell*... So yeah - they'll be around much longer than any other boy band, or at least I hope so:)

i think bsb write really good songs and are very well written they are 5 talented guys who are real artists unlike nsync and nkotb who are just bsb wannabes and just sing really bad worse than fingernails scraping on the chalkboard no offense to nsync fans but their 5 seconds of fame are waaaaaaayyyyy over they even have a quote similar to bsb where they say that their new album no strings attached has more mature stuff is it just me or does that sound kinda like what bsb said?? and talkin about that cd why isnt it released yet? hmmmm wonder why.... maybe cause their 5 seconds are up. and if nsync did write their songs they would be all crappy not like bsb whose songs are very well performed and written already 3 members wrote and co-wrote songs and on theyre next album all the songs will probably be written by them they are growing as artists and i love their music i used to hate em cause i thought they were a crappy immature "boy band" who didnt write ne music and just sung and danced then millennium came out and i heard brian and kevin wrote and co-wrote songs and i thought they have matured a lot and were better than when they were before millennium so i decided to give them another chance and i became a hhhhuuuuugggggeeee fan and i proved my self wrong about me calling em immature theyre not they are one of the most talented artists out there. and btw that article saying that britney will stay on top is bull she cant even sing!!!! neway i knew that was long but i had to say it KTBSBPA BSB 4EVER!!!!!! BSBKICKASS!!!!!
