I really don't think that the Backstreet Boys are going away anytime soon. They have 28 million fans across world wide and we are not just going to drop them as if they were just some phase. I do believe that the Backstreet Boys and all the other boy bands would stick around for more than a while. They all have loyal fans that loves them. Someday, they might end up like NKOTB, but that day's not going to come for a long time. I think everyone should stop dissing the boy bands. A lot of people loves them and the bands brings pop back in to the world. I personally, would love the Backstreet Boys forever. I am not just saying this, I mean it. Music stays with us even when we are old. We like who we like. Sure someday that all the bands would have to break up, but that doesn't mean that they didn't have an impact on their fans lives. We are not just going to wake-up someday and decide to stop loving the bands that we loved (and probably still love even when we're 50).

I think, for the most part, that this article is, sadly, true. But I'm not saying necessarily it's true for BSB. In comparison to all the other boy bands of the past, if you've noticed, that BSB is a lot older and more mature. (Ex: NKOTB, or even Jackson 5 for that matter) And BSB knows what power they have, and are more in control of their career and more business-savy about what they're doing. And if they do seem to die-out, they're talented enough to continue to work in the music industry as producers, song writers, etc. Ya know what I want? I want them to open up their own record label...lol... =)

This article makes me laugh. This time last year, everyone said that *N SYNC was going to be the big thing this year and the Backstreet Boys were practically over. In a sense, we, the fans, made it a point to show them that this was not the case. With Millennium, we did. Now some people are believing they have staying power, and some are saying (and unfortunately hoping) that BSB will be a thing of the past next year. I think it is up to us to show them (once again) that they were wrong and rub their faces in it. As for *N SYNC, well, I think we might have to see what happens, as *N SYNC fans (no offense to anyone out there, I like them too) are annoyingly persistent. I'm already getting emails about how all *N SYNC fans should go out and buy their new album the week it comes out so that they could (and I quote) "sell more albums in one week than the BSBs and their Mamas ever could!!!!" I think that Millennium will win that battle, however, no strings attached (Ooooh that was a bad pun!). thanks for reading my boring little statement and KTBSPA!!!!!!

While this article does have its merits because many of the so-called "boy bands" mentioned will probably be gone shortly, I really believe it is sorely mistaken about the Backstreet Boys! Why? First of all, contrary to popular belief, the Boys fans aren't just young, teenage girls. They have a lot of older fans out there as well that helps keep them at the top and not to mention has more money to spend. I, myself, am an older fan and know for a fact that my mom, as well as many of my co-workers, male and female, are fans and are older-we're not ashamed to admit it! Many of my friends at work openly display pictures of the Backstreet Boys in their cubicles as do I. Their music has grown and has that appeal! So, in my opinion, they have enough adult fans out there to sustain them if their younger fans get fickle. I also believe that because they're constantly growing they will attract new audiences. Secondly, I believe that in order to stay in the biz you have to constantly be available and putting out good music consistently. Most stars fade when they don't release any new music in a long while, when they change a winning formula instead of growing with the formula, and they don't become available to the fans. I don't think the Backstreet Boys are doing any of these things--they're going back out on tour, they're working on a new album which should be released summer time, and they'll be doing some more videos. That tells me they plan to be around!

Hi anyone that's reading this. I'm a loyal and dedicated Backstreet Boys fan and I have been for the past 5 years of my life. I have grown up listening to their inspiring and beautiful music since I was 10 years old and I've also woken up every morning to see their faces all over my bedroom wall, but let me say something. Not because someone has pictures of a popular group on the walls, it means that she only likes them for their looks. I started liking BSB from the moment I first heard We've Got It Goin' On on the radio, and let me tell you something, I can't see people through the radio so my liking them wasn't based on looks. That puts the whole 'cute guys' thing straight.

As for the singing, just listen to them!! It's that simple!

Maybe some people aren't gonna like all of their voices. Like if someone likes soulful or gospel music, I'm pretty sure AJ wouldn't be their favourite. It's like rock critics make comments on BSB. How are you supposed to like a certain group, if you don't even like the type of music they sing? Some people... Anyways, I just wanna say that the Backstreet Boys will remain a musical group as long as the fans support them and as long as they remain close to each other and share the same interests. Right now, all of those things are right and from what I've read from other entries, many fans support them through thick and thin just like me. There are things that we can't control, but those are things that we aren't meant to decide. I know that the Boys will do whatever makes them happy first and then come the fans. Because isn't that why they switched management?

I know I would never be happy if they weren't happy. They know what's right for them and even if it isn't a group decision, we should support them as individuals too. I've gotten a little off track. Here's my point, Backstreet Boys will remain alive for as long as they want and the fans love and support them. So far, we have half of the control, that's a lot. So Keep The Backstreet Pride Alive and you have done your share. Luv, me

I honestly don't think the BSB's days are numbered. You can usually tell by the sophomore album if they're going to be a success or not. Most bands fail after their second album, and Millennium was the most successful album of 99. Also, most bands lose some popularity whenever they enter/exit legal complications (case in point: N Sync), but when Backstreet was embroiled in that legal fiasco with TransCon and Lou Pearlman, they actually gained more fans since that, maybe because they showed that they could stand up for themselves? I don't know why. But, I think the BSB will hang around for a while longer than most people think.

This post is about the Rolling Stones Picture. Well, i have to disagree with one earlier post! I have no idea what picture she saw, but what she said can't apply to the one i saw! This picture is funny, and cute, and i don't think the Backstreet Boys are going to lose respect for that innocent picture! i mean, it's not like it's hot and steamy, and they are exploiting their sexualities, like (excuse-me) Booby Streaks did! it is a tasteful picture, and i see nothing wrong with it! Most of the people i talked about with, liked it, and appreciated it as what it was intended to be, funny! i am actually proud of the boys for doing it! besides, do you really think that Kevin would have let them do some shoots compromising their careers? certainly not!

Well, i think that indeed, the Backstreet Boys are going to be the first exception to the rule! It is true that they reach adults too, and that most are ashamed to admit they are fans, but they are slowly coming out of the closet, and i couldn't be happier!!! i love the music, and as long as the Backstreet Boys keep on doing great music, i will support them through the thick and the thin, no matter what. My love is conditioned by the most important thing, the music,so i plan on being a fan a long long long time to come..

ok, i know i already wrote in once but i have to vioce my opinion about these rolling stone pictures and what that girl said about them. First of all i think they look good in them. Second of all why should they lose the respect they have earned, these pictures do not even show anything. If anything because of these pictures an older more mature group of fans will like them more. Its not like bsb never took pictures that didn't show some part of their body. Critics may say things that are not so good about them but the fans know better. These pictures will not destroy their fame and respect unless us fans let it, but we shouldn't. Everyone needs to check out those pictures if you have not already. Britney showed more than they did and they are old enough to make their own decisions.

thank you for letting me voice my opinion

I'm going to love the Boys forever! I've never been interested in the girl groups. I'm going to be a fan of the Backstreet Boys for as long as they make music.
