All i have to say about that is Backstreet isn't losing their audience, i know for a fact that it is growing, well at least here it is. Ever since i became a die-hard fan my friends have slowly come around. They all used to think it was hillairous,me being so in love with these guys, but now they're falling for them as well. My mom's friend even wanted me to help her find tickets to a couple of there concerts(and we're talking a woman in her late 40's here). They are loved my many and shuned by some and this will always be true of any group, but in no way are they dying out NO WAY!!

If you look back in history it seems inevitable that they will be gone in a few years, BUT I truly believe that the Backstreet Boys will overcome that obstacle and be one of the biggest groups that have come along since the Beatles. They have they talent, so they're not like some of the other so called 'boy bands' that were out in the early 90's. They have the closeness that some of the groups that are out nowadays don't have. You can tell just by looking at them that they concider each other family. So in answer to your question, no they're days are not over. They have alot more to accomplish with each other before they go their seperate ways. Just because they're young artists doesn't mean they aren't hard working dedicated men. They are and they are not gonna give up without a fight.

I have to agree with MystsDragon. She made a ton of great points. If you think the Backstreet Boys will end just because the audience grows, then I feel sorry for you! They've been around for a long time and are no longer just "bubble-gum artists"! They've earned the respect of many other artists and esteemed award shows have honored them with numerous awards. They are being nominated in vast categories such as best comtemporary, artist dou/group, album of the year, artist of the year, best video, etc. They are no longer limited as being just pop artists.

Okay, what the heck???? BSB is going to stay around ALOT longer than all those other boy bands! Like the article says, they have an edge. It's attracting a huge range of people. N'STINK on the otherhand, is attracting an audience of those little girls and THAT will cause them to fade fast. I'm sorry, weither you like it or not, BACKSTREET's HERE TO STAY!!!!!

I believe that the Boys will be around for a long time. They have been through a lot, and they are still together. They shouldn't be catergorized as a "Boy Band" because they are much more than a bunch of pretty faces. They have true talent and they produce some of their songs.

I think that @ the moment the backstreet boys have this big hype with teeny gurls (self included). eventually the boys will start showing they have lives, girlfriends, wives possibly somewhere down the road and the fans will porbably most likely stay with the band. 'cause i know i first like their music then they started getting cute. millennium is probably the best cd i won and i own tons of cds. they harmonize great and that's what's gona come in the long run. i don't even understand why rock bands and they're fans are so mad @ boy bands and their sucess, 'cause they work hard too. can you say "player-haters?"

I think that every band or artist's days are numbered because the fact is that people lose interest eventually. I think that the Backstreet Boys will fare better than most groups of its kind, though. Let's face it, NSYNC and 98 Degrees and other bands that spawned from the BSB just don't have it. It also helps that the BSB is evolving with their sound and it's not exactly the same pop. No offense to NSYNCers, but I just cannot bear to listen to them. Their songs do not have the full and glorious tonality that the BSB have. At the VMAs, I was dissappointed because almost their entire act focused on dancing and the weird clapping and stomping. Although the BSB didn't have one of their better days, at least you can say their piece was primarily singing. (Their dancing was awesome!!!) Anyway, to say that any band's days are numbered is just stating the obvious. There's no big bombshell or huge surprise there. I say to just enjoy the BSB while they're here and not worry about how long they have left. As Nick said, "Live life to the fullest for the future is scarce!!"

I love the Backstreet Boys. And I know that there are billions upon billions of other ppl around the world who love them just as much as me. And as long as we 'keep the backstreet pride alive',there will be no end to BSB. We are one of the main reasons for the success. WE vote them #1 on TRL, WE buy their albums,WE buy the concert tickets. And as long as all of us dont stop doing all that, the Backstreet Boys wont 'end'. So for all of you who are panicking, dont worry. We are the only ones who can keep this whole thing going! KTBSPA 4E
