This article might be true in some respects. Maybe they will start 2 die down. 1 thing I know 4 sure is, it WILL NOT be this summer. I mean, come on! Their newest album just sold over 11 mil. copies and still going! Also, I know, no matter what, all the teenagers listening 2 them today will have a special place in their heart 4 BSB. Look at the Beatles, some of them are dead, but they live on in fans hearts. BSB will never truly fade away. No matter what critics say. KTBSPA!

I think that the Backstreet Boys are such a great group and that they are not famous just because they are young and cute; but because they sing good. I personally do not think that they are cute at all, although they are so carismatic and cool. Still, their music is good and not only teenagers like it; everybody does (even my parents that are forty years old.)

I cant belive what I just read. Yeah, well, of course the Backstreet Boys wont be around forever we all know that. But the chances of them dying out within the next 6 months is not very likely. There wont be as many people buying their music and listening to them as before, but they wont just dissapear. They have managed to produce more than the Spice Girls or whoever Sherman said, and they still got their fans and all. I dont belive that Nsync is dissapearing either, that law suite thing is well over, and they are coming out with a new album arent they? Well anyways, Sherman has no clue what shes talkin bout and she might as well keep her mouth shut.

As much as I love and adore the Backstreet Boys, I have to admit that it's inevitable that they will eventually die out. It's impossible for them to have the #1 record and sellout concerts until they're 85 and can't sing anymore. They will decline one day but hopefully, they won't disappear altogether and they'll leave their legacy behind. With more of a range in the ages of their fans, they'll have fans even after the little 13 year old teenyboppers have grown out of it and moved on to new trends because not all of their fans are teenagers drooling for hot guys. A large part of us fans have the sophistication and maturity to appreciate them for their talent and skill, not solely for their fine physiques (although that never hurts!). Look at the Beach Boys and the Beatles. People still listen to them and buy their albums, and not just old people who were around when they were. They were good enough to last even after they went out and hopefully, the BSB will do the same.

I believe The Backstreet Boys will maintain their following in the years to come. Yes, a lot of the market is comprised of teenagers whose loyalties change with the times and each new group that comes along. But, there is also a very large "mature" audience who will stay with them through the years, not just because they are handsome but because they can sing and write beautiful songs. At the concerts you can see that the older audience is not just there as chauffeurs by the number of them who are singing the words to all the songs right along with their sons and daughters.

sherman, you suck!!!!!!!! you dumbass the backstreet boys are gonna be here forever what are you talking about as long as there are fans (like me ) the backstreet boys will be here forever. no matter what you think. yeah, 'nsync won't be here the're already dying out ,but the backstreet boys are a different story. if it wasn't for the bsb , 'nsync would have no idea what to do cause they copy them so damn much. so, there you asked for my opinon-you got it!!

You know what, they can go think whatever they want to think. The BSB have already out-done the New Kids on the Block and their album IS growing with their audience as well as still be acceptable by younger listeners. Therefore, I think the guys will stay around for a while. Everyone compares them to the New Kids, how about comparing them to the Beatles instead? Besides, even if they do go out, they've already left a mark on music history.

Okay, look. I don't even know why people still listen to that hack of a "music editor" at Seventeen. It's plainly obvious to those of us with taste that she has spent too many hours sitting too close to the speaker with such "good" acts as KoRn or whatever blasting as loud as possible. She has no right to pass judgement based on her obviously biassed opinion.

Ok---these people that say that Mandy Moore and Britney Spears are gonna be the next big thing of the summer are a bunch of asswipes. They have no idea what the hell they are talking about!!!! Mandy Moore is a 15 year old girl who has crooked bottom teeth-and the suckiest song in the world-and you're gonna sit here and tell me that she is going to stop the "boy band" phenomenon!!! Yeah right!! The radio the other day declared that the Backstreet Boys are no longer a "boy band"-they are now a male vocal harmony group!!!!!! Thank God!!! Someone has to take a stand against these stupid critics who have no idea what they are talking about!!!! And please don't tell me that Sherman or whatever his name is actually made $$ criticizing the Backstreet Boys!!! How cruel is the world today!!!~anyway-I wanna thank websites like backstreet.net for letting us fans write in and give Sherman a little piece of our minds!!! Y'all otta be ashamed of yourselves for putting down a great group like the Backstreet Boys!!

I'm 27, so I'm not part of the demographic that the "teen bands" are going for...However, I was a NKOTB fan back in the day and the Backstreet Boys have one thing that NKOTB did not...STAYING POWER! First of all, BSB have already been around longer than New Kids have. They had fans in Europe, Canada and the rest of the world before they even became big in the U.S. I got that dreaded last album from New Kids and it was like they jumped from one style of music to a harder "grown up" edge. It sucked! Backstreet is growing with their audience. I can't even tell you how many adults I know own the Millennium album. Not only are they on the Top 40 charts, but they are on the Adult Contemporary charts as well. I think that tells us right there that they are not just a teen band, but a band for everyone...I think they have way more than 6 months left in their career! I think they have the potential to keep going until they themselves decide it's time to quit...not because their audience is tired of them!
