I KNOW BSB WON'T LAST FOREVER! EVERYBODY "KNOWS" THE IMPORTANT THING IS DOES ANYBODY CARE???????? I LUV BSB AND I DON'T WANT TO THINK ABOUT THEM GOING AWAY,I'LL DEAL WITH THAT WHEN IT HAPPENS! RIHT NOW I WANT TO THINK ABOUT HOW MUCH I LUV THEM. THE BOTTOM LINE IS: DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE FUTURE WORRY ABOUT WHATS HAPPENING NOW! THEY'RE GONNA BE AROUND FOR AWHILE SO ENJOY THEM,AND DON'T WORRY ABOUT WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN WORRY ABOUT WHATS HAPPENING!

honestly, they won't last forever. nothing lasts forever. the important thing is that we remember that we did like them at one point. that's the best any of us can do.

F*** yeah! All the bubble-gum pop s*** a.k.a. boy bands wilbe gone once another stupid bubble-gum pop fad comes in. The Backstreet boys do sell a s***load of cd's, concert tickets, and their merchandise, I can admit that, but in a few months, all that s*** will be on triple clearance(on the merchandise) They are high on the charts, but it will be gone soon, just like all of the other s*** in pop.

I don't think their days are number!......I don't think are just going to drop everything and move on. I mean they basically have been together since '93'!.......They deserve to take a LOOOOONNNNGGG break. They are in the middle of makeing their 3rd album, so i don't think that they are just going to give up after releaseing their 3rd album!.....They might take a couple of years off, to catchup on their personal lifes!....and then start touring and performing (singing) songs off their 3rd album for us fans!.....but even if they do stop touring, and making music and decide to move on with their lives. I think they will still have lots of fans, all over the world listening to their music everyday til the day they die, cuz i know i will still listen to their music!

I have never been soooo mad as I was when I read that article. First, let me say that I'm an adult fan with two daughters who also like these beautiful guys (my husband likes them too). We cheer them on every time they win an award. We have not (yet) had the joy of seeing them in concert (live) but we will because these boys (MEN, actually) are going to be around for a long time. Why do these critics still insist on calling them a boy band, they are a vocal harmony group, Why do they compare them to nkotb, that is not even close, they should be comparing them to the Beatles or Elvis because they have accomplished more than any " boy band" has. Their fan base is not just teenagers or preteens, they have an enormous amount of adults that also love them. We love them for their beautiful music, awsome dancing, their honesty, caring, and down to earth "We"re human" attitude that I have not seen with so many groups, past or present. If these so called "I know what's going to happen" critics ever bothered to do any research, they would see that they sound like a bunch of kids who didn"t do their homework properly (no offense to any kids, I was one once myself). These beautiful (not just in looks but deep down inside) talented young men are going to be around for a LONG TIME. Some day they may go into other aspects of the entertainment spectrum but they ARE NOT going to fade away. As for the girls taking over, give me a break they are not taking over it"s just that the magazine editors are pushing girls in their mags. My girls and I have noticed that there aren"t nearly as many articles of the boys as ther use to be and it isn"t because there are less fans, it"s because this is what the editors want. IF you notice this and don"t like what they are doing then let them know. They have to have a "fan base" themsleves in order to stay in business. AS fans we need to let these critics know that we do not accept what they are saying as "gospel" just because they can get their articles published!! Sorry this was long, I was really upset. lets KTBSPA-4ever!!!!!!

I kind of like what they're saying to a point. They say that Boy band music will get old and I agree. The strictly pop stuff is gonna get old fast. However, BSB don't do strictly pop stuff. They're already growing and maturing their music and I think the Backstreet Boys have fans ages 3 to 70. There music isn't "let's have fun" music. It's deep stuff like SMTMOBL and the song that everyone knows the chorus to IWITW even tho guys don't like to admit it. I think "Boy bands" days are numbered but I don't think that Backstreet Boys days are numbered. Bands like 5ive and LFO are already getting old while Backstreet Boys are still warming up. NSYNC I hate to admit has followed (what a chancge nsync's following BSB) BSB and they're trying to get a harder edge to their music. It's not working very well with the piss-poor choreography they put with it. Anyway, my point is: I think that the Backstreet Boys will have fame as long as they want and we want it that way. KTBSPA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, now don't start bashing me b/c I love the Backstreet Boys w/ all of my soul! About a year ago, I used to think that BSB would be gone by 2000. Then as I was sadly (I made myself super depressed cause of this) flipping thru my binders of them, I realized, "Oh, my gosh! They've grown up! They're not just another boy band. They are here to stay!" And I've stuck by this revelation for a year now. I mean think about it. Has NSYNC ever been on two covers of Rolling Stone? No! Did they ever break album/tour world records? No! Do adults respect them? No! (Sorry to all those nsync fans reading this now) Backstreet has definately matured from Boys to Men and they are here to stay. They are truly musicians.
