How do you feel about Brian's marriage?

Submitted by Renee from Rochester USA Date: Sat Sep 9 14:43:53 2000 My comments on the girlfriends/wives (and some in response to previous posts): As for Kristin (I may have spelled this wrong because I've seen it spelled so many different ways) and Kevin, all I can really say is that I'm happy for him. They definitely have my blessing, not that they really needed it. As for Brian and Leighanne, I trust her with him completely, and vice versa. Just because they have not been together as long as Kristin and Kevin does not mean that their love is any less real or that she is using him. What is important is that she loves the man that he is NOW, not the man that he was 8 years ago. AJ and Amanda: Same as above. Also, regarding her clothes: I've never seen her in anything I would consider innappropriate, but then maybe I haven't seen enough pictures. At any rate, who cares if she wears something short or tight? We love when our boys take off their shirts, and AJ especially has a tendency to do so. Lots of people thought the Rolling Stone cover was inappropriate, but we all enjoyed seeing the boys with their pants off. So, I'm not gonna complain about Amanda until I see her look trashy and inappropriate....so far, I haven't seen it, and even if I do, AJ still has the right to love her and vice versa. Howie: I don't know a darn thing about Howie's dating life, and I'm sure he'd rather keep it that way. Nick and Willa: I admit, I get a bad feeling on this one. But that's probably partly due to the fact that I've heard too many rumors, and partly due to the fact that he's my fave boy. (I don't want to date him or anything...but it's still weird to think of him with a gf.) However, I support Nick in this relationship. Even if their relationship has not played out well in public, it could still be a great relationship. People are often uncomfortable in public, and in sharing their lives with the public, so it is possible that Nick and Willa have chosen to try to keep their love out of the public eye as much as possible. We don't see them when they hold each other in bed at night, we don't see the looks they give each other before performances to wish each other luck, we don't see Willa loving Nick in spite of the stupid things he might do, and we certainly don't see the pain in both of their hearts when someone says something bad about either of them. (That last sentence can apply to all the boys and their significant others.) General comments: The boys aren't stupid. They know their girls better than we ever will, and I trust them to make the right decisions. Brian and Kevin have something I've never had. I've never been in love with someone in a marriage relationship. I've been deeply in love before, but never in a marriage relationship. So, I am happy for them, and I hope that I can have what they have some day. Also, Leighanne and Kristin have made a decision that I don't think many of us could make. They love those men enough to say, "I will stand by you no matter what happens. Through all of the bad press, through the crazy fans, through the successes, and the rock-bottom failures." How many of us could make that kind of commitment to any famous person, especially a Backstreet Boy? I've said my piece....and I suppose now I should wait for the hate responses to pour in.
