First of all, we think that in order to criticize them we think you have to see them perform. We have, in November. We, true BSB fans, went for the sole purpose of checking them out to see whether or not they were in any way doing the Boys justice. Well, we have seen the real Boys before and we know that there is no comparison. BUT, they put on a really good show considering they are not the real Boys. We think that you are being really harsh because you are afraid, for whatever reason, that they may take the place of the real ones. Anyone who has seen them know that they will never do that. They aren't trying to take over the Boys, they go to school...and they are just trying to make a little extra money at something they are fairly good at. You have to understand that A LOT of BSB fans don't have a chance to go and see the real thing. We were extremely lucky to have been able to see them. We had to drive for 6 hours just to get there. A lot of parents will not consider taking their children that far just for a concert. Yeah, we are older, 19, but that doesn't matter. The Boyz came to Saint John, NB....where the BSB will most likely never come. For a lot of kids, they were the Backstreet Boys. After the show, they stayed for over 3 hours signing autographs....we stayed and talked to them. They were in no way cocky or arrogant...they were normal guys who told us their real names. If they were trying to be the real Boys they would have kept up the act. Okay, as for you "Kris"...what the Hell is that?? What does any of the real Boys family lives have to do with anything?? We think you're just trying to prove to whoever, how much you think you know about them. The Boyz are not saying that they are like the Boys...they never said they're better than them...they're not trying to be what they know they're not. So what if Kevin lived in a log cabin?? Shawn, aka Kevin for you stupid people, didn't like go out and buy a log or anything just because the real one lived in one. They're not like going to go and kidnap the real Boys and pretend to be them....puh-lease. Give them credit. They're not the real Boys, but they can dance....and yes, some of them can sing....we're not saying they're the best, because no one can come close to the real thing....like NSYNC...yeah, we think NSYNC was just made to get in on some of the success, but they are good...and so what, who cares what they look like?? Looks aren't everything....what would happen if something were to go wrong?? Like what if one of them was in an accident and scarred their face? Would that mean you would stop liking them?? We don't think so...well, we hope not, cause we would never do this. We would still LOVE them, even if we never saw their faces. For a lot of the kids going to the concert (Boyz) it's a dream come true. Let them be....we say the faces of the little girls....one little girl in the autograph line was so intimidated by them because to her they were the real thing. Sam, aka AJ, winked at her and that made her day. So, we think in order to judge them, you can't just listen to the audio clips on their website...you have to see them perform and realize that they are just normal guys trying to make some money....so, what? They're not taking any from the real ones....if we were given the chance to see the Backstreet Boys or the Boyz, we would for sure pick the real ones. But we would go and see the Backstreet Boyz again, they put on a very energetic show. OK, we think we're done...but we may be back...or if anyone has anything to say....go ahead. I'm not really sure if I like the idea of them imitating BSB just because I feel that anyone who can sing can do what the "Boyz" are doing and same with the Britney impersonator. I think they are making too much of a big deal touring around Canada getting people to pay to see them[and hey, I know people do, I was actually considering it!] but I find it a bit lame that in order to do what they love to do, become famous, and perform that they have to impersonate one of the best bands in the world today. No offense to people who do like them but they will never be as good as the BSB and neither will any other group trying to impersonate them. They should get their own songs, dance moves, and a different name, and then maybe I'll like them and maybe they would make it big because there is no way they are going to be very big by impersonating the BSB. However, I encourage them to stay in the music business and to keep trying because they definitely do have talent, I just think other songs would do something more for them and suit their voices better. I doubt that they admire the Backstreet Boys and want to be a tribute to them, they probaly just want the money. I hope the Backstreet Boyz don't become real famous because they don't deserve it. All other bands, like the Backstreet Boys, had to work very hard to become popular and sell alot of records. In my opinion, the Backstreet Boyz are just taking credit for the Backstreet Boys songs and that's not fair! THEY SUCK! the guy thats singing the beginning of "everybody" sounds like he has problems! and is the song your the one for me or what ever it is suppose to be a up tempo song? how fake is that!? STUPID its the word to decribe them! i think the real bsb doesn't need a tribute to make them feel special! they already know how special they are to their fans! everyone knows that! so even IF they were to become famous, they would NEVER make it! they MIMIC other people's image, and sound terrible! i'm sure they can't write there own songs, they have to sample them (no offense to puff daddy or who ever)! i mean theres nothing wrong with sampling, i just i think its totally lame to do it! besides there are at least three backstreet boyz that look they get STONED every other hour of the day! well thats what i think! I do think that this is more of an insult that a tribute though. I mean, the guys look nothing like them, and it kinda ticks me off that they're even trying. Nobody can be the Backstreet Boys. Just like no body can be Jennifer Lopez or Adam Sandler. Everybody's different and I think if they wanna do a tribute than go as themselves singing Backstreet Boys songs. From what I've heard, the 5 Boyz can't sing at all. I haven't got to listen to it yet so I'm just gonna trust that you know what you're saying. If they wanna do a tribute try getting guys who sing instead of guys who vaguely resemble them. Or when put in a pitch black room vaguely resemble them. All I wanna say is the Backstreet BoyZ do not get my vote. And if I were a Backstreet Boys I would be offended by this instead of pleased.
