First Page - Previous - Next - Last - Add Entry - Other Topics - Message Boards - Exit Page 31 of 50 Submitted by Renae from Waterloo, USA Date: Tue Feb 15 13:25:20 2000 I am 19 years old, and i have been a Backstreet Boys fan since 1998, and I totally agree!!!!!!....There is no need for fighting!!!!!........Yes the Backstreet Boys were around first!!!!.....and now there is a group in Canada called the Backstreet BoyZ!....but that doesn't mean that the Backstreet BoyZ are copy cats, and tring to look and sound like the the real Backstreet Boys!...Because to me, the Backstreet BoyZ, look and sound nothing like the real Backstreet Boys!.....They are just a tribute that's all and there is nothing wrong with it!!!!!.......i think it's kinda cute!!!!!!.....and i talk to the Brian Littrell and Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys, and they don't have a problem with the Backstreet BoyZ, they think it's pretty neat, that there is a band in Canada, with 5 guys, trying to sing, dance, and look like the real Backstreet Boys!!!! So Please NO MORE FIGHTING!!!!!!!!!......(god i swear some people, are just sooooo imature, jealous, selfish, and obsessed, with the Backstreet Boys, that they don't stop to think about others)......Yes everyone has their own opinion, but before you open your mouth and critizes others, you should get to know them, before you decide to say something about them!?.....did you critizes the Backstreet Boys, when you first heard about them???? Submitted by Jackie from Toronto Ontario Canada Date: Mon Feb 14 14:21:31 2000 I met the Backstreet Boyz on November 11, 1999 when I went to the Into the Millennium concert at the Skydome in Toronto. They caused quite a stir in my section when they walked in and I couldn't help but laugh. For a split second, most of us were about to scream but we quickly realized it was an imitation band. A few of us were angry at first because we could not understand why they were dressed like BSB unless they were here to insult them and if that was the case, none of us wanted anything to do with them. In fact, I clearly remember one girl asking them what they thought they were doing by coming dressed like that and what they were trying to prove. They quickly explained that they were an imitation group and they were here to enjoy the show as much as the rest of us. I found the Boyz to be very sweet and they didn't seem to mind when the girls in our section took out their cameras and said, "look this way!" or "smile!" They were very nice and signed many autographs. I got a picture of them too which turned out very well! :) I normally would not pay money to see a tribute band but I would for these Boyz. Before the concert began in November, they sang a couple of BSB songs, acapella and had our section mezmorized. Although we all know there is only one true Backstreet Boys, these Boyz are talented and can really belt out a BSB song. I enjoyed listening to them before the show began, and judging from the applause that proceeded their improv performance, many others would agree with me. You didn't even see them. They are not ugly at all. It would have been worth your while to go and see them in concert. They are so GORGEOUS! I met them and boy it was something else. These guys are so awesome. I can say that, at first, I didn't like the idea of it either, and I wasn't going to go to the show, but I never knew what I'd have been missing. It was spectacular. I've never gotten a chance to see the real Backstreet Boys in concert and I'd love to see them, but let me tell you something, the show that these guys put on was awesome. They stayed after the show and signed autographs and took pictures and talked with whoever wanted to talk to them. They are sweethearts and they deserve better than all this crap that you guys are giving them. I, for one, support them, and I know there are more people out there that support them too. God can you believe all these people who are saying that they are trying to take over the Backstreet Boys. Like hello! Reality check! Wake up Girl! NO ONE can take over the Backstreet Boys. If anything, they are supporting them. These guys have feelings and those feelings are getting hurt. Believe me, i know, and I know that they read these comments that you people are leaving here. My and my friends just looked at each other and smiled, picturing how stupid these guys were (don't misunderstand, I LOVE backstreet boys). After a while me and my friend went to go to the bathroom and we saw the poster of them. We were laughing so hard we couldn't stand up and people were looking at us. They have great voices, dance moves, songs and of course cute members. I personally, am a great fan of theirs, I have 2 of their albums, like 25 posters, and around 10 drawings of each Backstreet Boy. Like every fan of theirs, I have a favorite group memer. I like them all but my favorite one is Howie D. Howie D. is just so sweet and cute. His adorable eyes, that amazing and very talented voice, and his sweet personality makes every girl crazy over him. I collect posters and pictures of him. Every one in my class knows about my obssetion over him. Just in case you're wondering, I'm 13 years old. Anyway I just wanted to say that I love and admire the Backstreet boys very much. I think that they are very talented guys and that they should continue being No. 1 in the hearts of their many fans. This is known as the english language. i am not a b*tchy person, and am not one to swear, and diss other people because everyone has the right to view there opinions, and thats exactly what you did. BUT many of those comments were totally out of context, and quite irrelevant. claiming they are trying to take over the bsb is totally lame! no offence guys, but no fan is ever going to turn thier backs on the bsb. also claiming they are untalented when you havent ever heard them live is totally wrong. you can't judge a persons voice, just by hearing a cranky wav. on the internet. if you don't like them then fine, who gives a damn, but you don't have to be so god damn b*tchy by making pathetic comments like "thier ugly", or "rubbish".
