I think that you have it right on the money, so many of their fans say they love them, but they treat them so disrespectfully. Congrats on the message your spreading. And as for the one (the phony "AJ McLean") who claims that they don't have it bad because they are rich, I feel sorry for you. Money isn't everything, and if you think that if you have lots of money you don't need anything/anybody else, then, you have my regrets. Please be a little more realistic. Don't insult your own intelligence so badly.

Hey I think that the BSB deserve so much respect for everything they have done. Being a BSB is so much harder than anyone probably thinks it is and this is a great article showing and explaining that they probably have a harder job than anyone else out there! so I wanna wish them a good luck in their careers and I hope that they never give up because without them in my life I dunno what I'd do!!

I THINK IT'S GOOD BECAUSE THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT IT'S LIKE. WE DO A LOT OF HARD WORK BUT WE REALLY DONT MIND FANS DOING WHAT THEY DO. I THINK ITS GREAT THAT SOME PEOPLE ACTUALLY UNDERSTAND US AND KNOW HOW WE FEEL. I THINK IT'S A GOOD MESSAGE FOR ALL OF OUR FANS OUT THERE.

Hi. I loved that article!! I have been thinking that (like many others I am sure), but never actually wrote it down. Reading makes it a lot easier to understand, and they need our respect, and our thanks. I know, if I see them I will definetely scream Thank you!!

Ok, I see her point about how we should thank them and everything. Yes, we should. I am thankful to them everyday for how they have helped me through life and hard times and all that. I'm thankful that they even exist. Here's the deal. I'm not saying that the boys don't deserve privacy but if you feel anything remotely close for them that I do then you would do absolutely anything to touch them and feel their presence. I would never ever do anything to harm them or steal their property although I would wait outside a suspected hotel they were staying at all night long in extreme cold temperatures to meet them the next morning. There's absolutely nothing "wrong" about that. I have tons of respect for them and their private lives but at the same time I love them more than anything in the world, literally and I'll do anything it takes to meet them and get close to them. Call me crazed, weird, whatever, but I still disagree with her statement that it's wrong of those of us who are obsessed with them and genuinely adore them and would give our lives for them to go to any lengths to meet them even if it means sticking around their bus or hotel. The bottom line is, a backstreet fan is someone who would LIKE to meet them and has tons of pics and has all this respect for them. A backstreet freak is someone who would LOVE to meet them and would do anything to. Has thousands of pics. Appreciates God for creating them. Appreciates them for living. Adores the very air that they breath. Would die inside if they died. Would be terribly hurt if they got hurt. Can simply look at a picture of them and stop crying. Knows that one day the backstreet boys will meet them no matter what. Feels that the backstreet boys have taken over the heart, the mind, and the soul. Thinks the backstreet boys lead their whole life. There are limited actual backstreet freaks out there and most of them will disagree with that woman's comments. KTBSPA!!

Your article was amazing! As an older BSB fan you beautifully said what alot of younger fans needed to hear. As someone who cherishes her private, down time( the little I get due to a rigourous college schedule and outside activities) I never really thought about the many points you brought up in your article. The perks of Show business must really outweigh the other, not so perky aspects for them to want to continue on making the extrodinary music they do, but I appreciate them for hanging in there and always pleasing their fans. Once again, great article.

I agree with this artile mainly because it says exactly how I feel. We should respect the boys as much as they respect us. I want to meet them as much as any other fan, but if I do meet them, I'm going to show them as much respect as possible and treat them like the real people they are, and you should to.

Love Always,

Jen

I thought that article was really and truly thought provoking. I mean yeah I'm sure all of us everyday think about how much we "love" the guys and would do anything to get close to them. But have we ever really thought about what they go through everyday. Not really huh? They really do a lot and sure they get a lot of money for doing the things they love but it's still rough on them. They put up with a lot. From working all the time to crazy fan encounters. As for the thing about you seeing them on the street...in my personal opinion I would have to get at least one autograph or photo or something ya know? I mean yeah we should just say hi, introduce ourself, thank them, and move on but really we would want something to look at so that we could relive that moment right? So anyways...what I'm trying to say is that if you are lucky enough to have an encounter with one of the Boys, whether it be your favorite or not, tell them how much you appreciate them and maybe get one photo or autograph but don't do anything too extreme like follow them back to their bus or hotel. Ya know respect their privacy. Well I'm sure most of you who have read this are kind of like huh? But that's just what I had to say and if anyone would like to e-mail me. Go ahead my e-mail's at the bottom. KEEP THE BACKSTREET PRIDE ALIVE!

All I can say is AMEN to your article!!!I feel exactly the same way.I Love the guys dearly, but as a 42 yr old married woman with no kids that got me hooked on the BSB,I feel like they do the best job with the fans that they can and we as TRUE fans need to show them the same respect that we would want for ourselves or our families also. Can you imagine being hounded like they are day after day after day?????I honestly don't know how they do it-but I am glad they do.I have never met them personally-yet-but I hope that if the time comes and I would ever get to meet them, that I would behave and not carry on and be disrespectful.I guess fans can get caught up in the moment and get a little out of hand and I understand why, being the BSB and all,but I believe they would appreciate us fans not going a little crazy and being nice to getting out of hand and someone maybe getting hurt.I also think as fans we should pray,if you are a praying person-for their safety and health,as I am sure they get run down and worn out after all the touring they do.Thanks for listening!!!
