I really agree with the article and I think that you are so right about how the fans should let the Boys live normal lives and not have to worry about being stripped or about people getting in their personal lives. Yes, the Backstreet Boys do a lot for their fans and yes, they do deserve a lot more respect than what some of us fans give them. Stealing thier clothes and attacking them is just disrespectful and not cute at all. The people that do it may think they are getting something out of it, but what kind of respect is that? Do you want people jumping all over you and grabbing your clothes off? If it were me, I'd be pretty upset (and I might just have to go buck wild on some people). But since the Boys are so sweet and so sincere, they just blow it off. They really care about us fans and we should show that we care about them too...but not by disrespecting them. I agree that they are not sex objects and that people should start appreciating their music and not their physical appearance (but we all do know that they are very good looking!). One thing I don't agree with is the thing you said about the autographs. I don't understand why you think that it's not Ok to ask for an autograph? You are right about how we should thank them for what they have done for us, but the Backstreet Boys even said themsleves that they are more than happy to stop and sign autographs. I'm sure there are people that the Backstreet Boys admire and would love to get their autograph. Why is that so wrong? It's the people that act out of control and wild that give other (civilized) fans a bad name. I am a huge fan of the Backstreet Boys and I have a lot of respect for them and I know there are many other fans out there that respect and appreciate the hard work and effort that these guys put in, just to make us happy...and that's all I have to say about that.

I just want to say that the last comment was completely inappropriate. First of all their are people of all different ages that look at this site and u should be respectful of them. Secondly u must be SO cool that u have to go to the fan sites of groups that u hate and go out of your way to write hate mail- I have no respect for people like u who can't even allow others to have their tastes and let them be. Nevermind that what u said was utterly untrue. The boys are rich and famous, but they have repeatedly went out of their way to thank and accomodate their fans. We fans love their music first and foremost. We cannot love them because we dont know them. The music is what's important and as long as they keep on being the down to earth guys that they seem to be and making good music, they will have my support.

First of all, you f*cking scrotum suckers shouldn't care about stealing, they probably like the attention. They have so much F*cking money they can get back whatever you hoes stole. They don't even give a rats ass about these sites. All they care about is the money and the attention. They see so many fans in their conserts they dont even think about you guys. You are drooling over nothing. Just imagine you are going to marry them.

Hey-- yah i agree with the respect thing totally.. its one thing to be a fan but to be too outa control kinda takes the fun out of it for others...and you in return just end up looking ridiculous...I mean if you meet someone your a big fan of, do you want to leave a bad impression and scream your head off and act retarded, telling them that they are Gods or like super heroes?... Or do you want to be polite and get your point across by telling them that you like their music and respect them... I wouldnt want them walking off thinking i was some lunatic...If i was famous and working my butt off I wouldnt want some fan coming up to me telling me they are in love with me and that they think im am "so fine"!!.... i would rather hear their opinion on my album or performances...I guess the maturity level is something to look at. I mean dont get me wrong i think they all are very goodlooking but if ever was lucky enough to meet them I would tell them how great their album is and how they have more than proved themselves in the music industry more than once and that i totally respect them. And also thank them for giving me awsome music to listen too. But i wouldn't want to like wrip their shirt or steal something that belonged to them... Thats their property and im sure they arent to happy to find out mail is missing or stuff has been stolen...They do alot for their fans and i dont think their fans should take advantage of that and abuse it...You take whats given to you... You dont take whats not...they give us time , give back what they need most...support!... in a sane kinda way...Anyways I consider myself a mature fan...I'm going to be 20 soon so I have no excuse anyways...I hope they continue to give us their music!

I think that some fans think that the Backstreet Boys are only there to make them happy. But obviously they're wrong. The Backstreet Boys do a lot of other stuff. They have to do concerts, fan confrences, press confrences, photo shoots, charity work, sound checks, meet & greets etc. Well,I'm amazed that they can actually manage to get some sleep in the days that they work. I mean I'm surprised that they don't go absolutely crazy being cramped up in a tour bus or on a plane all day. I think that fans should give them a break & not bombard them everytime that the see one of them. Show some respect. Sure they love their fans but they wanna have some time away from them, too. To live normal lives. If you guys see them while they're off of work then go by don't ask for an autograph tell them how much you respect them & their music tell them "thanx". This is what I feel. Thanx. ~*Nicky*~

Hey, I think the BSB deserve alot of respect, especially from their fans. I'm sure that being a Backstreet Boy is the hardest job out there, and they work really hard to please us. Some how we should show our appreciation. If I had the chance to meet them, I would thank them for everything that they have done for us, because if it weren't for BSB, it would be the end of the world for me!! I love them so much and i would never do anything against them, because they expect more than that from a fan!

HEY EVERYONE! I SO UNDERSTAND WHERE SHE IS COMING FROM. I AM IN A SHOWCHOIR AND THIS NEW YEARS EVE WE DID A SHOW ON THE WATERFRONT THAT WAS BRODCASTED AROUND THE WORLD. JUST FOR THIS ONE NIGHT WE PRACTISED EVERY DAY AND EVERY NIGHT. I WAS SO SICK OF PRACTISING I DIDN'T EVEN WANT TO DO IT ANYMORE. ALSO THIS SUMMER, WE WENT ON TOUR FOR 40 DAYS. AFTER ABOUT A WEEK I WANTED TO GO HOME SO BAD. FROM DOING ALL THIS I STARTED TO THINK ABOUT HOW THE BOYS DO IT ALL THE TIME AND NEVER EVER COMPLAIN. AND ABOVE ALL THEY ARE ALWAYS GREAT TO THE FANS. I KNOW I WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO DO THAT. SO I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT THE BOYS ARE FANTASTIC AND THERE ISN'T A DAY THAT GOES BY THAT I DON'T WANT TO MEET THEM BUT I ALSO RESPECT THEIR PRIVACY. KEEP THE BACKSTREET PRIDE ALIVE!!!
