I think that the fans should just be greatful for all that the Backstreet Boys have given them. I know it has brought my daughter and I close together because we enjoy the same music and travelled a distance to see them in concert. I too would send them a note of thanks for their hard work and dedication to the fans! Fans young/old love them!

I agree with what Lori had to say. I think it all boils down to 'do unto others as you would have them do unto you'

I'm reminded of the Las Vegas fan conference when I heard a fan ask AJ directly WHY he broke up with his girlfriend.

Is that any of our business? Also, another fan asking Nick what his screen name is!

Let the guys have a little privacy please.

I agree with this article. Many fans don't really sit down and think of all the things the Backstreet Boys have given up to make us happy. They have hardly any free time with their families and girlfriends because they're so busy. They put up with a lot of nasty things people may say about them and they put up with their fans stealing personal items or bombarding them wherever they are. I think everything's gone too far and we owe it to them to give them their space and privacy. We also owe it to their girlfriends. So many people call them names when all they know is that they're going out with they're favorite backstreet boy. It's not fair to the girlfriend or to Brian, AJ, Nick, Howie, or Kevin. It must hurt them to see so many mean things written about their girlfriends. We need to give them a break - they're regular people! I hope people decide to give them some more privacy, they deserve it.

I wholeheartedly agree with the opinion of this woman. As much as I may adore them and revere their music/talent or even them, I still don't believe how some fans can decide that they're not people, they're merely objects. I think that the Backstreet Boys deserve to have their life and to be treated as they should be. Try thinking of what kind of hell it might be to live in fear of your life, just trying not to be noticed when out in public; but of course they have to love their jobs, if they didn't why would they be doing it. Anyways, it's awesome that they dedicate their lives to their fans so much and they should get back some more respect (not in fanatic terms) in turn. KTBSPA!!!

I totally aree with this article because they thank us , the fans constently but do we really thank them? Yes , we always say we love them and want to marry them but that does'nt always show our appreciation for them ,and their music. When they release a song dedicated to all of the fans out there we take that for granite alot of the time and don't notice that they really appreciate us but we hardly ever , really and truthfully show our love and gratitude for them.

I just wanted to let Lori know that her letter was beautiful and I agree with her totally.

I think that it is time for us to stop wanting so much from these five wonderful guys and

start giving a little of ourselves back to them. I have often wondered, living in Orlando,

what I would say if I were to ever run into one of them. Now I know, I would simply say

Thank you (and I would probably start to cry) because I truly believe that their music has

made me a stronger person and helped me to change my life for the better. I am 25 years old

and I have made so many new friends through the BSB "connection." It has even made

my sister and I closer, therefore I have plenty to thank them for, so maybe now I will get my

chance.

Thanks Lori for helping me see all that I am thankful for =)

I think Lori's article is great. Many fans just don't think about those things and they really should. I hear alot of stories from people about being disappointed in the guys but I think if they read this article, they would understand all that they really do for their fans. Aside from their tremendous talent, they are normal and they can't always be personality plus all the time. They can't make time for every single fan 24 hours a day, they need some down time also. I think Lori's article can open alot of people's eyes as to how much they really do. Thanks to Lori for putting it in writing =)

Okay here's my opinion: There's a part of me that agrees with the article, and there's another part of me that doesn't. I'll explain both sides.

I agree that the Backstreet Boys have worked very hard to get where they are now, and they deserve all their success. I also agree that it's wrong to take personal stuff from BSB or injure them in any way. I also agree that they do need their personal space, and yes, I wouldn't like it when people are screaming and making loud noises in the middle of the night when I'm trying to get some sleep. I also agree they do deserve a "thank you" from the fans.

But, there's another side to this. Part of what made Backstreet Boys rich and famous are their fans and their money. And believe me, that's a whole lot of money! I mean, who spends their money on CD's, concerts, merchandises and all that? The fans (or their parents, whichever). I'm not saying that BSB don't deserve any thanks like that other girl said, but I think it's the fans that deserve more thanks. I don't know if anybody would agree with me on that one, but that's my opinion.

Plus, that whole things with the fans waiting outside the hotel to see the BSB - I have a comment. These fans have probably waited DAYS outside the hotel just to see a glimpse of the boys - who knows what kinda weather they've exposed themselves to while waiting! I gotts say, if someone did that for me, I'd be pretty damn flattered! And also, right now at this stage, BSB are pretty untouchable. I guess these fans are doing what they're doing so then they could feel closer to them in some way. And there's really nothing wrong with that, right?

So in conclusion, I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's alright for the fans to do all these sort of things, but at the same time, put BSB's needs in consideration. Am I making any sense? Cuz I'm just really babbling here! :o)
