Hey,

I totally agree with 99% of what you are saying. The part where you say "When you see them on the street, don't ask for an autograph or a picture, just thank them...." Well I would kinda have to disagree with that part. If any BSB fan seen the BSB walking, I can almost guarentee you that they wouldn't just thank them and keep walking, and whoever tries to tell me that , is full of s***. I am a huge BSB fan, but if i seen them on the street i would definately go up to them and ask them for an autograph and maybe a pic. You think they're not used to that yet? It's like a daily routine. I agree with everything else though. And remember Keep the Backstreet Pride Alive!

I had to write my opinion back to what Lori said.

As far as I'm concerned...it was about time that someone said something about how generally embarrassing some fans are. I'm not the biggest fan of the BSB...but then who is?......and I don't claim to be. I know that I'll never meet them, marry them or have their children and that is perfectly okay with me...as long as I can still watch them from afar and listen to their music. If I was to ever see them...I don't know what I'd do...but I know I wouldn't bother them...I would quietly watch them pass me by and for years remember the time a Backstreet boy passed me by.

I can never quite understand what is going on in these crazed girls heads...I think some of them actually think they will be Mrs Nick Carter....well I tell you now....none of you will until you realise that the five blokes that adorn your walls are as normal or try to be as normal as all of us. Just think it through....they are really going to marry you after you've rooted through their rubbish, nicked their plants and called their girlfriend whatever you seem to think that she is...

I'm begging you from the bottom of an English girls heart...stop being so stupid..please...have respect for them but most of all for yourself.

I'm sorry if I have been brutally honest....but I live in a country where the media is appalling intrusive...but now it seems as though normal people are heading that way too.

I'm 16 yrs and this article is what I always thought. I always said if u really care about them, why would u steal from them or hurt them? They r just normal guys. yeah they're hot & talented, but they deserve to be treated with respect and thanked. KTBPA 4 eva

I'd just like to say that it is high time that someone else agrees with me. Think, too, of the price of fame; you are doing what you want ...what is your dream and it is NOT QUITE what you thought it was going to be. Those few days when they don't see fans or whatnot, and they get completely beat for being ungrateful..and on close examination, they should be grateful that they are doing what they love...but in a way they aren't...Okay, that might have been imaging a lot more than is true, but its kinda what I've believed for a long time about fame in general.

I really liked your article. You are right about everything you said. I am an older fan too. I'm 21 and I am mature enough to control my emotions. I haven't met them yet, but I would like to, and if I did I would act my age and give them respect like they deserve. I'm glad that someone had the guts to tell these people about how their behavior is getting out of hand. They needed to be put in their place. Thank you and God Bless.

In my opinion She is completely right. Let me tell why.

Years ago I met Mario from saved by the bell (Slater) at Miami Beach and he had a lot of people asking for autographs and pictures, he could not finish his dinner, I passed by, recognized him, smile, said hi and kept going, later on I saw him at a club, and he came up to me I thanked me, for treating him right. I am sure if I had bothered him, he would not had remembered me. So people give them their space, and remember to thank the fellas for doing what they do.

How many times Brian has mentioned how hard is to ride a bus during the night and have to run across the lobby at 5:00am, he should not have to do that. Don't you think he is giving us a HINT!!!

I would like to say in response to this article THANK YOU!! Thanks to you for saying what needed to be said and Thanks to the Backstreet Boys for all their hard work and their dedication to their fans. I myself am 20 years old and I often think about what these five wonderful guys go through on a daily basis. I honestly don't know how they do it. If it was me I'd go crazy. I appreciate all that they have done for me and that's not something I take for granted. I have so much respect for them. It's about time that people open their eyes and realize just they do for us. Everything they do is to please us, the fans. They have given so much to us, it's time we gave something back to them. All I can say in closing is God bless AJ,Nick,Brian,Kevin and Howie for sharing their gift of music with us.

Hi Lori, I think your right in everyway. I thought the Boys would get a well deserved rest since ending their tour in December and then starting back up again in what-February now? And you see what they did? They went and did the photo shoot for Rolling Stone!!! They never quit do they? (Well, it was probably their agent who decides things like that) I couldn't do it, I'd be insane right now. And everything I've seen about them- the fans already want to know when the next album will be out!!! It's terrible but I want to know too!!!! We just can't get enough of them. It reminds me of the Beatles. Well I just want to thank you for listening and this is a cool site. I will come back often to check it out. Karen
