I understand where Lori was coming from when she wrote this artical. But in some essence I need to say that where whould the Boys be without there fans??? I totally am with the fact that yess these men need there private time, and lives. If they totaly wanted there space I would say give it to them. I went to two concerts this time and I could not believe how some of the girls were dressed. I was in shock. Some girls had nothing but there bra's on with tops on you could see through. I was comletley insulted. That this group I am coming to see is my favriot in the world and they have fans like this. Do they respect them or do they want a piece of them? Isn't that why I like them- NO WAY!!! I respect them for their music and the way the have helped me through my life. I went to there hotel in Florida when I was there. Not to stock them as some people would call it but I did admit that maybe I would get a glimpse of them, but I did not hang outside there room I did not harrase anyone to see them. I walked around and it was fun got to meet a couple of there dancers and bodyguards and got to meet Leighanne. She is the sweetest person ever and we talked. I did not think twice to ask here for an autograph I did not ask here where the boys where we simply had a nice conversation. After that we walked around a little more and left, I did not see any of the boys but thats ok I was not in hestarics over it. The girlfriend jelousy has to stop. These are 5 grown men who deserve love and respect like us all. The only problem I would have with a girlfriend is if they where getting treated badly, or being abused or used. As I would be mad at anyone who did that to anybody no matter who they where. I have to admit that if I was walking down the street and Nick was walking towards me I would not act normaly. Here is a guy I look up to and who has inspired me so much, I would simply walk up say Hi (as I am very nervous) and start talking to him, I would not act crazy, start screaming in his face. BUT- if he asked me to back off, and he said he needed his space I would respectful do so. I respect these guys to the fullest they are my insperation as I said before and that is a huge job to be the insperation to so many. The Boys do this because they love to and they love there fans but do need a private life also. But they do not want there fans to STOP being fans they love us and we love them. I will always be a part of the backstreet boys, cause I am a fan. I don't need an autograph to tell me what a great time I had at the concerts this year I got my pictures and memories for that. Like the boys say Keep The Backstreet Pride Alive!!! :0)

Very Well Said... I couldn't possibly agree more. I think we, the fans, have a tendency to forget that they are human beings. They give us incredible music, their time, and patience even when some of us may not deserve the latter. Given this generosity don't they inturn deserve compassion and understanding when we fans have the good fortune to meet them.

i completelyyyyy agree with her. she is sooo right.the bsb need to feel that thier fans are understanding. they need to be treated like human beings , like regular people . cuz theyr missing that, brian once said that they feel like theyr "zoo animals" now it really really hurt me when i heard that this is how he feels . we need to change that and give them a break.

I totally and completely agree with the article. I think that sometimes fans forget what BSB really are: human beings. They do a beautiful job, but they lost their privacy, I know they had to wait for it. Finally, I think that we must thank them for everything that they give us, and on the other hand they had to thank us 'cos they wouldn't do what they like doing: sing and dance.

I totally agree with that article. The Boys need to have some time for their personal lives. I have never met, encountered, or even seen a Backstreet Boy unless it was in a picture. But I know that there has been people who mobbed them, stole from them, whatever and I totally disagree with that. The boys not only need time for their personal lives, they HAVE to have time for their personal lives.

I TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY AGREE WITH THIS ARTICLE.I'VE THOUGHT ABOUT IT ALL MYSELF AS WELL A COUPLE OF TIMES.WE REALLY SHOULD UNDERSTAND WHAT THE GUYS GO THROUGH TO MAKE ONE ALBUM.ALL THE HARD WORK THEY PUT IN.AND THEN THE PERSONAL FACTOR, WHERE THEY STAY AWAY FROM THEIR FAMILIES AND LOVED ONES FOR SUCH A LONG TIME.IT'S SO DIFFICULT FOR THEM TO MAINTAIN A RELATIONSHIP WITH ANYONE,NOT JUST GIRLS.

I am an older fan, age 22, just like Lori and she's right when she says the Backstreet Boys should be treated with respect. Sometimes fans forget that the BSB are human beings just like you and I and I'm sure they like to spend personal time with their families and friends, too. Even though I scream and yell at each appearance I see of them on TV or when I hear one of their songs on the radio, I still respect the time and effort they put into everything they do for us! They spend most of their time trying to please us, the fans, by making their "powerful" and beautiful songs -- so, I propose that every single fan respect them for at least this reason. To the BSB -- thanks for being the talented individuals that you are and caring for the fans the way that you do! Keep the Backstreet Pride Alive!

I thought that the article was really good. The Guys are human too! They need what we need--especially privacy and respect. People, or should I say 'fans', should leave them alone once in a while. If a 'fan' gives them the respect the boys need, gives them the privacy they need, really understands what they are going through, gives respect to everyone around them (i.e. their girlfriends),...then that 'fan' is really a true FAN.
