Um, well. I don't know if i really agree with the writer. I mean, i know they work hard but that doesn't mean that they have a harder life than any other musical group in the world. Yes, they're known worldwide, yes they have more fans than other groups, yes they get a lotta bashing but so does every other music performer or celebrity... don't get me wrong, i love the BSB. I admire them for their music and their unique sound and their inspiring words. And that's why i appreciate them. Not because they seem to work a little harder than the average artist but because of the work that they achieve after doing so. ANd as for the people relating their lives to the BSB's. Please, you don't have any idea what they go through so don't jump to conclusions please.

Tough life? Sure. How about a single mother trying to make ends meet. First of all they choose their career path just as everyone else does. When you choose the career path of a singer, you hope to gain fame and recognition and with that fame and recognition, undoubtedly comes wealth. Because you choose your life, you can't complain especially when you reach the ultimate goal. If traveling all over the world, having tons of money, and having girls fall all over you, I want a hard life!!!!!!!

I agree with what you said so much! I love the Backstreet Boys, and I'm sure all of you out there do too, but there's a point where you just go too far. People can be fans & admire the boys' talents, but stealing from them & breaking into their houses or buses is crossing the line. Give the boys their space, & respect their privacy!!

Lori! I completley agree with you and all of you who put positive thoughts into what was said. The Backstreet Boys are HUMAN BEINGS. And they should be treated normally like the rest of us. All I know is that I wouldnt want to be in a position where I thought I was going to get hurt or touched over and over again or have people screaming obscene things in my ears. (I'm not saying all of you do that but I've heard it) Its ok to be a fan but sometimes its not ok to be a fanatic. Especially a rude or obnoxious one. When I heard that AJ sprained his ankle in Montreal because of (clears throat) a FAN I was so upset. I felt bad and angry because if people keep doing things like that to them, pretty soon they wont be as cordial to us as they want or used to be. So think before you decide to jump someone because it has effect in the long run. Another example is when Kevin had his shirt ripped off when they were leaving a concert once. I was especially upset by this beacuse 1) I love Kev hes my fave BsB and 2) He must have been struggling to get away and I cant imagine what he must have felt like. The poor thing. Again, actions speak louder than words, so please, please be a real fan and treat the boys with respect like you would want to be treated.

I think Lori was absolutely right about everything she said concerning the Boys & their fans. The guys should be treated as ordinary young men with extraordinary talents. If others would only take time out like she did & actually try to fathom the thought of what it must be like for them, more people would realize how they're living & give them all a greater deal of respect.

I think that was a prefectly written acount of how we should be treating the Backstreet Boys....not stealing or hurting or following them, but treating them as real people. But for most of us teenagers...they have changed our lives in one way or another, and its hard not to get carried away in wanting to be a part of their busy famous lives. These five guys are some of our idols, whom we look to for advice and ideas. I think we should say thank you...but we should also say how much we love them too. That shows WE are real...with real feelings and real emotions about them. God Bless and KTBSPA

Hello there to the 30 year old lady for pointing out those things to everyone else (incuding myself) because some.... no most of the fans don't realize how devoted they are to their fans and need to understand that they need their privacy too!! Yes I am a HUGE Backstreet Boys fan and I love their music very much, but I have not YET met them and WHEN I do I WILL treat them with the upmost respect that they deserve. Thanx to you, now all of their fans will consider (or hopefully they will) remember what you are saying and keep in mind that they are people just like you and I!! I praise you for your comment and I WILL continue to pass the word for you to let any Backstreet Fan that they deserve that much then at least that much from us!! I would like to hear more from you if possible.

She is totally right. For the fans that don't like their girlfriends, well tuff! They deserve to be just as happy as you do! Just because they sing for us doesn't mean that they can't have love lives too. Personally If they guys are happy with their girlfriends, I am happy too, all that counts is that they are happy, so what if I never meet them, kiss them, marry them love them, and so on, just because I am not dating Nick or Brian or Kevin or AJ or Howie, doesn't mean that they can't date someone else. So everyone should be happy that they are happy and in love with someone, because if someone is in a depressed mood most likely they won't write good songs, and as we all know they write their own songs!
