What do you think about the "More Than That" video?

You know, I was reading the reviews of the video, before I actually saw the video, and people said OMG OMG it's hot hot hot, and I was like OKAY people, you guys do that all the time, whenever a new video comes out, but this time, woooooo. That's my mouth dropping. I love the concept of the video too. Ahem, I think it's the nature vs. the technology/industrial revolution of Men. In one hand there is the peaceful desert, where not thing has changed much since it was created. There is virtually nobody living there. But on the other hand, there is the busy city, the height of the human success, and although it is beautful, like city lights and all the good things the techonology brings, it is also very fast changing, unlike the nature like the desert in the video. And as the song evolves, the scenes between the natural background and the man-made background emerge into one, which is the ending, where the boys are traveling through the beautiful white wind fans (I think it also represent us the FANS, hint hint, so the boys are driving through thousands of us! Hehehe...), which there to help generate the energy without hurting the environment. So you see all the good things of both world can come together and bring the best of each other. The man-made object can stand without hurting the nature and I think it's beautiful just like the song. People argued that they didn't like the video, because there is no real concept, well if you looked into it, there always is one. Besides, if my idea of the video concept wasn't what the director had in mine, that's okay too. I mean come on, there are lots of videos without any concept at all, but I still like to watch them, because it's good music. Well does anybody have other ideas for the concept? Oh yeah, Kevin. Whoooo! Can he be more hotter? He should wear that cowboy hat all the time. Also I loved the moment, when he bang his hand downward as the background drum bitted. bang bang bang! Hehe! P.S. I think it is one of there best, even though there is no concept behind it and it isn't all that flashy like "The Call". I like "The Call" too but I get tired of seeing flashy vidoes all the time. Submitted by crystal from california USA Date: Fri May 18 19:16:57 2001 i think the MTT music video's really beautiful..although it has no real concept behind it, its all good cuz their other good videos dont have concepts either :). i think the backgrounds were soo niiicee...pretty nature stuff :) and it reminds me of the concert cuz they had those cloud-ish things too..i'd say for looks, BRIAN is the best in the video...near the beginning where hes just into the music and stuff...dang he looks GOOD!! he has like..a deep, thoughtful expression..major hotness..:) hehe. and please dont kill me nick fans but i think nick's kinda overdoing it in the video (and also during his performances of this song)..maybe he just REALLy likes this song...but its ok i sitll love him, i just think he looks a lot better in SOMH..i love his hair and look there :). and howie looks good with that soft curly hair...that latino look... Not only is it my fave song off of black and blue but it shows the most beautiful bsb (to me at least) get some airtime too!! The More Than That Video, showcases the guys at their best. Singing with passion, and showing us they are way beyond the antics of their pop imitators. They are true blue class. This song has a special meaning to me and the fact that I just absoulty love the guys is also a reason. I thin it shows how each guy has grown in vocals and looks. I also think that Kevin looked really good wearing the cowboy hat. I'm a huge AJ and Howie fan but If you didn't like Kevins look then there is something wrong with you. I'm So happy that Howie got some camera time in this video becaus ein most of the videos Howie was always in the back and never in front of the camera. So all in all I think this video just over took all the videos they ever made except the fact that I Want It That way is still #1 to me because i was one of the lucky fans that got to be in it with them. I will tell you this much If you haven't seen the video I suggest that you see it and also if you have never heard this song live then you are missing out on a lot of stuff. I like the fact that it is in the country or where-ever because it shows that the country side is just as good as the city. If you haven't guessed it yet, it was the release of Millennium. Oh, how I fell in love with that cd when I FINALLY had it in my hands and listening to every single wonderful song on that cd. I'm sure most people can agree that "I Want It That Way" was the first song they heard on the cd and was pretty much the reason that they bought it. Now, two years later look what's happened. BSB owns pretty much every single record there is to own on TRL, and they made the path for such other boybands, like *NSYNC, 98*, O-Town, etc. So, if we could all take a break from our busy scheduals and just recall what we were doing at this very moment, two years ago. (Most of us would have been standing in a LONG line to receive the cd...lol!) Anyway, we should also compliment our boys for making such a growth, that nearly no other boyband can do. First, take "We've Got It Goin' On" and compare it to "More Than That"... if you're wondering why you ever liked the Backstreet Boys so much, there is your answer.
