I too am an adult fan (I'm 24) and we are a dying breed. I really can't choose just one favorite video. I think that I love "As Long As You Love Me" cuz that is the song that made me start listening to them a lot. And I love the video for "Shape of My Heart". It's so simple and nice and show a different side of the guys. As for creativity, I would have to say "Everybody" cuz they are all dressed up as monsters. That was pretty cool. This video, like many before it, not only reflects how naturally talented they are, but I can also see alot of their lives in the video, the objects, the landscape, the changing climates in the screen behind them. When they walk into the warehouse, it is like a dark shelter, a little niche and as they sing with tremendous passion, the screen behind them reflects the conflicts, the changes, the turning points in moments of their lives. When Aj sings after Brian in the very beginning, you can see the sun go down, reflecting the sadness in the first verse. When AJ sings that forever has come and gone, the sun goes down, and it reminds me of the recent passing of his beloved grandmother. It also brings me to think of all the people the Boys have cherished in their lives who have passed away or moved on. It is ironic he should be sitting beside a juke box, something that holds music all ready to be played. It makes me think of how they have been identified as a group who doesn't create their own music. Even when the screen behind Kevin displays an old tree, it's carries a reflection of who Kevin is, the rock and older brother of the group. When Nick sings his solo part in the video, the scene behind him is like that of a very fast lifestyle, a reflection of how the Boys' own lives are in real life. Yet even as the images are blurry, like life passing by too quickly to be enjoyed, the Boys stand and sing in nothing but ordinary clothes looking as normal as they could be, down to earth, like the desert setting the video was filmed in. The quickly moving images move in synch with the words that Nick sing, "What's the use in holding on? Don't you see it's now or never...", as if to say, life passes us by too quickly sometimes for us to enjoy. Don't "focus" so much on what brings you down. Live and take life with that which makes you happy. Even the clips of the Boys first seen walking in the desert alone is meaningful to me. They walk under a bright sun, with no one else around them, rays of heat beating on their faces. It's almost like being in the spotlight, with constant pressure looking down at them, and there's no relief from it. Minutes later as the sweeping melody and crescendos of the song play out toward the end, the Boys are seen in cars, as if finally in control of their destiny, with the cool wind taking away some of that pressure. They pass some moving windmills, and they stand on the plains above them like tall white angels, "fanning" away their problems and that which has burdened them. In the end, as they sing inside the warehouse, the scene behind them is now of a rising sun, as if within the confines of that shelter they are in, the hopes and dreams which play out like the movement of the sun behind them, is just within their view, their problems are behind them, and happiness is finally here. :o) Submitted by Mariah G. *Carter's Cutie* from Blind River On Canada Date: Wed May 23 18:22:08 2001 Ok, i have many fav vids, but, i think my fav would have to be, THE ONE, NICK IN LEATHER PANTS!!!!!! There are some adults fans who love them . I simply cannot pick one , Ilove them all, some of my favorits are, show me the meaning, as long as you love me, all I have to give, more than that. BUt I must say my favorite is Everybody I love everybody becasue I love old horror movies I love the way the guys became each monster. I love the make up used on them and the clothes. I also love the dance moves in the video, and thought kevin look so sexy in that white shirt dancing.
